Discussion About Accessories ( Galaxy S3 Neo All Variants) - Galaxy S3 Neo Accessories

The idea of opening this thread came to my mind when i saw a lot people having a number of questions and issues about accessories of our device.
So i am making this thread. In this thread we will discuss about accessories, not just official ones but also about those which are provided by third parties.
Rules are just simple.
If you have any accessory which is good and you have full knowledge of it you can talk about it. Share your experience and information with complete details.
Be appropriate, if you don't have information then you can asked but don't share any wrong or spam like information.
Before posting any thing please read the thread carefully and be sure there is no other post like you want to share. If there is one. And still if you have something new about it you should quote that post and share your information.
Give your post a title (it is important) A title containing simple searched words so that people who look for it can find it very easily.
And
If you can please share some pictures of your accessory and screen shots of that device's software or interference.
You can talk about any accessory like batteries, blue tooth devices , cases, casings or chargers etc.
.
This thread for helping each other. There are tons of people looking for help so please help them and get help for yourself. Instead of making so many threads we can put our information and efforts in one single thread. And i think this is going to be very helpful.
If i missed something please tell me.

I have it for over 1.5 years, and I only have good experience with it, only when I play some game in landscape mode, the case cuts me a bit.

Suggestion - please read, don't flame :)

Hi everybody,
I was not sure where to post this so I will just put it in here.
This is a suggestion that I thought of a long time ago, but today I've decided to post it somewhere.
XDA is an excellent forum, which I visit on a daily basis. Even before we had the nice portal it was still fun to go and visit our devices and see if anything new had come out.
The thing that I unfortunately can't use XDA for very well, unless I open countless threads asking people for help, is when deciding if I should buy a phone.
Everytime I want to read a review, I need to go and get it somewhere else. The problem with other peoples reviews is that they never take into account custom ROM's and the community behind them, so if the phone comes with crappy software out of the box, they might negatively rate something that is actually very good.
Lately I have been following the SG2 forum, as that device has made me dream again . Pretty, Powerful and another word starting with P that I can't think of, but when I want to see how good it is, or any review I either browse 100s of threads and try to understand what do people complain about, or I give up and go and search on the net for a review, which I still think does not take into account the potential of the device (example HD2, you will not find a review of it running android, hehe).
To summarize: I suggest that each forum dedicated to a phone could have a nice review in the sickies, done by a member and rated by the community.
And please I am aware of the wiki, but I still don't think it is enough, as it's mostly specs and other things, not actual usage comparison or review.
Let me know what you think.
Good day to you all
This is an interesting point...I know of a few other forums that have a dedicated review forum or review threads.
I'll pop it in the "suggestion box"
I'm still somewhat of a newbie to xda, but the idea sounds great. I usually jump around to 5 or six sites looking for reliable reviews.
Would be nice to have member reviews from multiple angles of usability.
Well I'm glad that you've liked it. I am looking forward to see future development and hopefully I will not have to use other review sites in the future .
Regards to all.
good idea
That's great, I think Xda with many ppls can send out the information of mobile products.
Hi everybody, first I want to thank the admin orb3000 for moving the thread, I searched for the right place for the post, but no suggestion folder for the forum, that is why I have posted in in general.
And now on topic, we need to start reviewing our phones so they have something to sticky.
So good luck to you all, and I am looking forward to the results.
With all the threads that pop up asking "should I get this", I had thought about doing the same thing but never acted on it....maybe its time that I did
Great suggestion, definitely not "flame worthy"

Best case/cover for the galaxy note ?

I was hoping someone could share their experiences with the covers/cases they use for their note. I have looked at some, and i am thinking of either getting the 'standard' flip cover or a starcase leather i found. I am thinking that the back the note is a bit slippery compared to silikone or rugged leather. Has any tried combining the flip cover with some other case/cover?
What is your thoughts on that?

You should read the accessories section. Plenty of reviews on cases. This thread also belongs in that section

Did you try to search???????
I'm sorry, but a simple search would have produced several threads that are actively discussing various cases for the Note GT-N7000. There is no need to start an additional thread on this subject.

Agreed. Move to Accessories and closed. Use search before starting new threads.

Cases, Covers, Sleeves & Screen Protectors reviews queries

I am sorry if I seem to be intruding if members feel this is the case I would request you all to use the polls to indicate the same so that I stop doing it.
My intention behind this to have a single thread rather then multiple threads so that it is easy and faster to find information and new post I think there are around 5 - 10 post on cases currently and for me it became difficult to research when I was looking for a new case this will simplify it and also people will pay attention as information of new products are placed in this.
Today there are so many threads on cases that i check one or may be two and ignore the others and this may not be a good thing because people along with reviews also post discount offers and other information so if I do not review it I am stand to lose.
With a common thread it wont be the case I know there is only thread where people will post about cases and hence I know this thread for me is the best source of information and also will help reducing duplicate data.
With this intention I am starting this thread hope all fellow member understand my point of view

Why this forum is so messy?

It is very hard to find anything here. For example in SGS2 forum there are sections:
Galaxy S II General
Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Galaxy S II Accessories
Galaxy S II Original Android Development
Galaxy S II Android Development
It could be much easier to find anything if there will be sections:
User Guides / How to
Developer Guides / How to
Q&A
Accesories
CustomROMs
MODs
Themes
Thanks for the recommendation, you can also post suggestions here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1987254
Everyone will have their own idea about what constitutes "messy" and what would work best, ultimately we have to decide based on the experience of the users and staff and developers and come up with a workable system that evolves over time.
I can see some merit in your suggestion, but realize that for some users the current system would be more agreeable.
Be that as it may, you can always make suggestions to the site in the thread I linked
Thanks for reply. I will write a post there.
No problem,
and keep in mind that just because your personal idea is not adopted, it is still taken into consideration and may be phased into the current system in some fashion, so don't get discouraged or feel ignored if the things you suggest are not necessarily put into action.

It doesnt help that a lot of people make new threads for a lot of the same things too
It would be great if phones had section manufacturer wise rather than have a huge photo for each phone.
For anything I need to urgently search I just search using Google. That throws the best result.

U seem to b new here
Categorisation has been done perfectly
Just spend more time and u will b used to it
And u missed "apps" in ur idea

I know that I missed it. It was only schema. I am here 1 year. Now I wanted to modify my ROM by myself and I found it pretty hard to find threads I saw earlier.
The forum supports a $hit ton of phones, can be bit hard to keep organized. The search feature shall be your friend...

[Q] Nexus 5 Case without side raised edges

I've recently ordered a Nexus 5 that should be delivered next week.
I'm looking at cases but all that I've found so far have raised side edges. On my current phone (Samsung Galaxy S3) I have a Cool Vent Case which doesn't have side raised edges.
Anyone has seen any case that doesn't have raised edges on the sides?
Since I cannot post images here due to the low number of posts so far, please Google "Galaxy S3 mesh case" for pictures of how it looks like.
Thanks!
There's a dedicated accessories sub forum for queries like this

I first tried to post there but got the message "This is not a Q&A forum. By posting questions in this forum you are breaking the forum rules. Please only post questions in the Q&A forums.", hence the reason why I posted here instead. Should I post this question on the "Nexus 5 Accessories" forum?
I would ask for it to be moved using the report button.
