LG G Tab 10.1 Im stumped please help - G Pad 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello Everyone,
I have a VK700 and I totally screwed myself up lol.
So I originally had the device rooted, I dont remember how I did it, just that it was rooted a while ago.
So as some of you may know the Lollipop update came out and because I was rooted the update just kept failing at every try.
So after doing some reading I unrooted my device (not my best idea) and tried it again, only to have it fail again.
I was able to download the OTA update to the tablet and save the file to my pc in the hopes that I can somehow extract or make it flashable so that I could possibly root and then sideload or somehow flash it manually.
I have done numerous google searches only to find they don't actually show how to extract the files from the OTA update.
Any help is much appreciated, I would love to get this device running lollipop.
Also I have no clue on how to flash my recovery to TWRP or CWM and ideally I would like to so that I can make this process a lot simpler.

update
So I successfully re-rooted the device with LG One Click Root found on these forums (yay me)

[Q] Difficulties Upgrading to Lollipop

Hi, first of all I want to say that I am relatively new to android and therefore only have a basic understanding of everything. My desire EYE is currently on 4.4.4 rooted and have been having problems upgrading it to 5.0, I know I have to unroot and return to stock in order to be able to flash the stock recovery and be able to then flash lollipop on there. Problem is whenever I flash one of the stock 4.4.4's found on here superuser installer is still there (even when I tell to TWRP to not install it) and when I got to the bootloader is still says that the software is Modified so am still unable to flash the stock recovery and get lollipop.
Can anybody help shed some light on this problem and possibly help me fix it?
Hi there,
I have found I was able to update using the procedure written in this topic. Could you see if that helps you?

Thanks for your reply but have already tried this and when I tried booting into the recovery menu it gave me the red triangle because I have modified system partition, and all my efforts so far to change it to official have so far been unsuccessful
In fact tried it again and it worked this time, however when I try and download the update on my phone a message pop's up saying my phone can't be updated because the software is modified and not official HTC firmware

TWRP 4.4 build on 5.1.1 ROM?

UPDATE: So, I couldn't really wait, went ahead and flashed TWRP. It installed just fine, as long as you get into recovery immediately, TWRP sticks. I flashed SuperSU and rebooted and got into a boot loop, so had to flash the stock firmware again and everything is fine again. No idea why the bootloop, so if some expert knows, please share

So, T-Mobile/Samsung FINALLY delivered 5.1.1 on the P607T and it looks quite awesome so far. My device was rooted and had twrp, so I had to flash with odin and now have neither twrp nor root. While I know that its only a matter of time before the community updates the tools to make it easy for us to root, I wonder if somebody could tell me if its okay to flash the existing twrp_2.8.7.0_4.4 build on this new ROM?
I vaguely recall reading somewhere that with Lollipop, Android moved to a new FS, but suspect this only applies to the system and boot partitions? That flashing recovery should be fine, and worst case, twrp will not stick? But, just in case, it would be great to know if this is true from someone with more experience ... If yes, then I can try to flash twrp and see if SuperSU still works through ODIN.
Thanks!
Karthik
I tried root/TWRP using the P605 NEE thread method and I get the bootloop. It takes the modified ROM but not the SuperSU. Anyone else get root on P607T 5.1.1 yet?
From what I gather so far, 5.1.1 is rootable, but a bit more complicated than other versions. There are instructions one can follow to 'manually' root (meaning no simple odin flash), but these have not been tested on the Note 10.1 firmware yet and so no guarantees. I am told its just a matter of somebody who knows picking it up and creating a flashable solution, but the device is old and the world has moved on to Android 6.0, so this is not very high priority and we may have to wait a bit more.
The manual instructions, I understand them enough to want to try, BUT am not a developer and am worried about bricking my device! If anybody is brave enough to try,

Latest stock kdz for VZW Gpad 7..

After going through the headache of trying to get TWRP on one of these tabs, I managed to snag the latest kdz for it. I've flashed 3x via LG Flash Tool 2014 so yes its been vetted and definitely works HOWEVER with that said, I was NOT able to root it with Kingo like I did when this whole adventure first started out nor was I able to do the Download mode root via DP-Tools. Also worth noting is that fastboot appears to be disabled. Anyhow! I've seen probably half a dozen requests here and elsewhere in the last couple of days for the stock rom vk410, and yay I have it but need somewhere to upload it to. It is 1.33gb, file name VK41023A_00.kdz md5 hash of 550CFF41D572B642F242F787C06846E5.
Is it at&t Lollipop?

Seriously need help Twrp Soft Bricked my phone

@ day ago I set off on a journey to root my phone so I could get xposed to work with pokemon go. I Followed a couple guides and every site stated that you need Twrp. The thing is im running marshmallow on the D850 and any time I try to boot my phone in recovery I get "boot verification failed" and get a black screen with the notification flashing and this even prevents me from even doing a factory reset. From lurking the forums i've learned that the best way to fix is to flash back to an older version of android but most of these guides seen old and out dated and I cant seem to find a kdz for the D850 . Thank you and your help will be very much appreciated.

If you dont find an mm kdz jut flash a lolipop kdz by using lg up....
The only way to go back to stock firmware on D850 is to flash a tot file using LG Flash tool (as no other method is currently available).
You can follow this guide for that purpose

Help , can not root canadian lg g4 h81210n

Hello,
I have followed the Canadian guide to rooting my LG G4 H81210N.
I was on MM when i opened my brand new LG G4, i successfully downgraded to 5.1 LP for my right carrier.
I have downloaded the rooted img file to flash via the LG ROOT kit, following the rooting guide.
When i reach go to flash my rooted img (4.2ish gb) it takes less than 5 minutes for it to return with the pound # sign to show its completed the flash. i type LEAVE, my phone reboots fine, and i open up a root checker and super su with no success of a root.
I have tried using my original carrier (wind) KDZ and rooted img file, with no successs.
I have tried using telus kdz and rooted img file with no success. (as all canadian variants are compatible as i've read.)
So i have no clue what i am doing wrong. the LG root kit i downloaded contains SUPERSU 2.46, should i download a newer version?
thanks again for your help.

Problem is likely in the rooted image you're installing ...

Suggest you check out [Canadian Guide] - Complete Source for the LG G4 H812. Linux VM/Root/Tools&Files at: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/canadian-guide-complete-source-lg-g4-t3212449 and use one of the rooted images available there. It sounds to me that the image you've been using either isn't rooted or has been rooted incorrectly.
I notice you have not posted on that site so it should be a good source of info for you.
Good luck, S.
