What custom roms(if any) have support for the ir blaster for the T700? - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Do any of the custom roms available have support for the ir blaster on the T700 for use with an app like Peel Smart Remote?

Kitkat (Android 4.4) has built in support for IR Blasters?

Built in support for IR blasters
“Android 4.4 introduces platform support for built-in IR blasters, along with a new API and system service that let you create apps to take advantage them.”
That means all new Android handsets, providing they have latent IR functionality, can be used to control a myriad of devices including your HDTV and stereo.
And because the API is open to developers there’s likely to be all kinds of IR Blaster features added to current and upcoming applications and content inside Google Play.

...So does this mean we can finally get auto-learning IR Remote functionality on our LGOGP, similar to what the LGOG2 has

I'm guessing not...

[Q] Alternative IR App

Hello devs. Is anyone aware of any third-party or alternative IR blaster apps for the Xperia ZL? I've been looking for an alternative to the stock remote app, and tested a few third-party solutions like TouchSquid, to no success.
I would like to be able to use the IR blaster with a custom ROM like CyanogenMod, but it's clear that simply installing the stock app won't work because it requires the Sony framework. CyanogenMod is reportedly working on IR blaster support, but I've no idea when that'll be available.
Any ideas?

+1 on this.
I've searched as well and haven't had any luck.
My main gripe is being unable to make a shortcut to the macro's in the sony IR app.
Touchsquid home works well..the only drawback is that it although it automatically adds the remotes configured by the user in the stock remote control app, manually adding the remote by searching the device, brand, different remote control types,etc,etc....can be very challenging ......also the UI of the app takes time to get used to and know how to use it.Also sometimes if u face the no response from your device issue while controlling it from touchsquid,I found a workaround for this,
I.e. -->firstly open the stock remote control app & add the remote according to your device,
-->minimize it (don't close)
-->now (most important step) while opening touchsquid app, cover the IR blaster with your hand
-->then switch on your device with any remote of your device(although it can be done with the stock app,but this is if u face the "no response" thingy )
-->now u can operate ur device
I know that the above steps sound very silly, but I could only make it work ,that way
Also if you want other apps, try dijit app from playstore it's quite a good app with a nice, clean UI
If you feel that I've helped you in anyway, please hit the thank button

Thanks for the response. However, the Touchsquid app cannot work in custom roms because of what you stated -- it requires the stock IR remote app to configure, which does not work in custom roms.
Dijit does not work with the ZL, and requires an external bluetooth IR device, which completely defeats the purpose.
ive seen some ir remote apps in htc one apps section ...give those a try and see .

[Q] IR Blaster doesn't work on CM11

Does anyone know how to enable the IR blaster through CM11?
I was on a stock G3 Rom for my G2 previously, and the IR blaster worked perfectly.
I then went back to CM11 because of boredom and shutter bot wont work with my camera anymore.
I dont care about the TV remote, I just want to use remote shutter for my camera.
Thanks!
And THAT, is one of the many reasons AOSP is pointless on this phone. Sorry that I dont have a solution for you and I hope you find one. But things like that, functions that are found on stock that's not on AOSP, is one of the many reasons stock>>>>>>>>>>AOSP on this phone.

LeTV Infrared Fix Xposed module

Old LeTV and LeEco branded phones have great infrared blasters to control TVs remotely by your phone. But LeTV's own remote control application is not good at all. Unfortunately LeTV's infrared controller is not compatible with standard infrared protocols that android uses. So LeTV users has to use original LeTV remote control app.
This app has an Xposed module that make IR blaster usable for all IR apps on several LeTV and LeEco phones. Might not work on custom ROMs. In case of troubles search in logcat for 'LeTV IR Fix' messages.
This app's Xposed module is based on John Zweng's github XposedLePro3Infrared project: https://github.com/johnzweng/XposedLePro3Infrared
