Because this is an AOSP based ROM, Google Apps are not included. Flash the gapps of your choosing after you flash the ROM. If you need help finding a gapps package, ask any of us and we'll be happy to help
If you're coming from any ROM other than the latest CM 12.1 nightly, flash that first, for all the proprietary firmware to be updated.
These builds are designed to be installed from your favorite recovery. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST 5.1.X COMPATIBLE RECOVERY.
Detailed instructions:
Going to EOS 5.1.X from another ROM:
Boot to recovery
BACKUP YOUR CURRENT SETUP!!!
Make a full wipe (Dalvik, Dalvik Cache, System, Data)
Flash the ROM
Flash optional kernel if you choose to not use provided kernel **We DO NOT support outside kernels**
Flash gapps
Reboot
Updating from an older EOS build to new EOS build:
You can usually skip the full wipe step and just wipe both caches. If ever you encounter an issue make sure you make a full wipe first before reporting it. This is what most call "Dirty Flashing". Normally this doesn't cause problems, but keep in mind a clean flash is always the best way to go.

Lately we added a easy way to install drives. This makes the usually hidden partition on N1 visible as a cd drive on your windows computer.
Go to Settings ---> Storage ---> Menu ---> USB-Connection to Computer ---> mark Driver install (needs 2 clicks)
Then it should be visible on the computer. When done installing via the Setup.exe, switch to mtp or ptp, and it should work.
I'm downloading and following the oppoforum thread too.:good:

cool ,let go , test right now.
hi
The Gapps link say
The file you requested was not found
Lets see if we can find that for you...
No search results were found...
We are getting closer having OTA support in. The base for the backend (server part) and the base for the app is running, but there is still several things todo before its ready for release.

All HTC msm8960 devices use a slightly moddified version of the standard CM built 3.4 linux kernel, many thanks to the boys on our CM team who have made most of this possible on our HTC devices.

Gah... thanks. I knew this!:cyclops:
I flashed this last night. So far so good. No issues. Fast and stable; just the way I like it.
ROM is awesome, especially when coupled with EliteLunar kernel. However I am having an odd issue with play store. It worked right off the bat but has since stopped. Instantly FCs upon opening.

I used the default EOS setup and have only had one issue: My phone rebooted itself for some reason, only did it once, and not since. While that was kinda odd, it's been 5X5.
I've never really experimented with different kernels, just usually flashed what came with the ROM (sorry, I have a ROM - crack habit). Does the dev on this ROM recommend EliteLunar?

[ROM] [Unofficial] [V9.2]Dirty Unicorns 5.0.2 {Amami} [UPDATE] [APR 8 2015]

About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first created based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean because of curiosity. In the early days, it was just a one man show on one device (EVO 3D). However, many others have joined the project since and it has grown a lot. We have seen a wide variety of talent contribute to this project of ours and many of our contributors have gone on to help other projects, and that is ultimately why we do what we do.
Once Jelly Bean was over, we decided in Kitkat to move to a new base, which was OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting because it challenged us to see what we could with something different.
With Lollipop, we have moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. With that said, it has been an awesome learning experience and it's still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward.
Few more things we will say is that we don't accept nor ask for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc.....
All we do ask is that you search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!
Kernel Source:
https://github.com/cyanogenmod/android_kernel_sony_msm8974

**If you fail to follow these instructions, don't bother reporting any bugs**

have you tried cm12 or rr kernel?
Have tried everything.
Ended up going back to stock firmware and back to CM 12
Found no such kernel for our device by searching the web. We would need a link if there is a compatible kernel.
Any other kernel can be used.
I can confirm boot from CyanHacker Kernel.

h,
I think would help if you post also a kernel here with recovery which works.
thanks.
hi,
from the dirty tweaks are missing the nav bar settings.
specially nav bar high and hold back to kill.
so far the ROM is good.
thanks.
is video recording working properly?
hi,
i saw some changes on this ROM for other devices.
they will be implemented also for Z1C?
thanks.
@Saatvik Shukla:
This rom has a lot of potential. But unfortunately the first build is not usable for me. Beside some settings like ambient display that doesn’t work, mobile data is not working for me. When opening apn settings, there are no apns set. My provider is O2 Germany if that matters.
Sorry for the missing logcats.
Keep up the good work on DU, the rom is worth it :highfive:

Also a bug in Bluetooth audio (music only), but i think it's from Lollipop itself, and not from this rom.

These directions are not necessary after the first install if you use the Exodus Updater, included in the ROM. It can notify you of updates, download, and install them for you automatically.
**This is automated if coming from a previous Exodus build (Dirty Flashing).
We recommend using our stock (preinstalled) kernel for best results and usage of all features!

It works fine, don't have any experience with restoring from 5.1. I know it doesn't work from MM to LP, but TB works fine.

Guys, are you using F2FS ? Or EXT4 ?
This rom is hands down amazing. No wonder it took quite a bit of time for the official MM release, the rom is solid and bug free even on the first public build!
There is no need to test other roms, this is THE one and only rom, at least for me.
The only issue I'm having right now is there's no way to customize quick settings tiles, because even holding the settings icon on the top-right corner of the QS panel won't actually unlock the System UI Tuner.
Finally!
Is TWRP 2.8.6.0 working?
f2fs on data and cache works fine for me !!!
