[Q] [Fonepad 7] [FE17ICG] Custom Recovery and Lollipop ROM - Fake or Real? - Asus Fonepad 7

Hi guys,
I have just come across the following site while browsing for Custom Recovery for Fonepad 7. Is this REAL or FAKE?
http://cwm-twrp-android.org/download/asus-fonepad-7-fe171cg.html

I've found a few articles like this. The download links just take you to dodgy advertising sites. Also, it mentions that it came from XDA, but there's nothing here, so got to be fake, I'd say.
Wait for something to come up on a forum you know and trust

ODIN Multi Downloader

i don't know which thread this should of been posted into but it's bugging me
Every guide, every person when talking about updating/flashing ROMS talks about this this tool
but they seem to forget to even explain where to officially download it from lol
i have searched the web for a official homepage for this application and cannot find anything.
there is links to all versions from 1.15 right up to 4.43 but still no official place to download from?
my question is who makes it? where does it come from? and is there some special hidden official
site with regular updates?
if not how do we know what version is the latest? there is no about dialog box there is no
information other than a version build number.
For Example a few threads here people been asking where to download
then users have posted their mediafire links and such then right at the bottom the guy said
Dude!! that's 2 years old were on version 4.43 now..
If there is no official download/author site for this app how is anyone supposed to know that
newer version there is? .. do we just wait for someone to find a new version in the wild before we update?
Even on samfirmware it has all the custom roms, stockroms, which provides you with the ROM but
no explanation on what flash utility to use or where to download it from, to flash them ROMS
i can't be the only person on here or in the world wondering where this odin tool actually comes from am i?
wow really? 112 views but no-one has replied with any questions of their own or information?
can't just be me who's curious about this flashing tool
I would think it's a proprietary program,
from Samsung and I don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

[ROM] Pure Android Mashmellow for Mate 7

http://www.marshmallowg.xyz/rom/marshmallow/huawei-ascend-mate7-6543.html
Some user claimed it's worked perfectly without any bug. But i am having issue to download the file due to need to gone thru the survey.
Anyone who got the file can upload to a site without needed the survey?
a suspicious looking website , i wouldn't take any risks with that rom. I would not be surprised if they even ask credit card number etc for various reasons...
any one try this please ?
Don't do it...It requires a survey. Very shady

LineageOS for Wiko Sunny MarshMallow 6.0 kernel 3.18.19

Hi all,
I'd like to install Lineage OS on a Wiko Sunny Marshmallow 6.0, kernel 3.18.19.
Lurking around I found the GM CAdiom page, but nothing there that linked to downloads.
I also found in other sites the lineage-14.1-20180307-UNOFFICIAL-z5 and the lineage-14.1-OMS-20180308-UNOFFICIAL-z5 version, but I'm wandering if they are really compatible, as I see that specific ports do exist for a large variety of other phones.
Moreover I have yet not clear the install procedure, as it's said to install on the SD card ad then flash it. Those packages
are zipped, so instead of flashing I'm expected to "install zip"...
I have also seen the Robanoid post, where there are no replies...
Please, can anyone explain it to me?
TIA

Rooting the BV9000 Pro F

Hello everybody.
I have a problem. I had a bootloop on my Blackview BV9000 Pro F so I had to reset the phone. But I wanted to backup my data with some tools, so I have to root this phone, to get to the deleted contacts.
My problem now is, that I can not root the phone. There are several pages, they found a solution (in this forum too), but every link is a dead link or the images aren't compatible with my phone.
What did I do, till now:
I ask for the newest ROM by Blackview - they didn't give me an answer or even post my question to their forum (maybe, because they're in holiday???)
I did unlock the phone, but can not find the right version of twrp for my phone. (Links are dead or not the right version)
Download and started the SP Flash Tool
Understand a little bit, how the partitions on the phone are made.
What do I have:
Phone: Blackview BV9000 Pro F
Buildnumber: BV_BV9000PRO_F_V0.7_20190321
Adroid Version: 8.0.0
I want to undelete my data, as far as possible. So I need help to root it.
Thanks and have a nice day.

Company closed, because of Corona Virus?
Does someone know, if they closed because of the Corona Virus?
I asked some questions and posted some messages on their forum … but nothing happens … I got no answer or can see any post of me.
Greetings
Kal
PS.: No, everything is OK - they posted something else on the website … I have to wait …
The new ROM is online …
Hello again … it is finaly online, the right ROM for this phone (http://bbs.blackview.hk/viewtopic.php?f=213&t=341480). Now I have a question on how to make TWRP "compatible" with this.
Or try it in this way:
What do I need for drivers and so on, to make a boot partition, to flash TWRP on my phone.
Can someone do it or explain, how to do it?
Greetings,
Kal

Archive.org links (from support.wikomobile.com)

Hello there!
Apparently today i've been browsing and browsing on the net, and found some very interesting plethora of archived links from Wiko's support site.
Since the site is unaccessible via normal browsers and all possible shenanigans:
i tried my luck at pasting the link over Wayback Machine and i have a feeling development could be revived by chance on the brand
(besides the fact i found from tons of search results many telling about the whole Fastboot issue- since, apparently, the company behind it, Tinno, sanded up an huge chunk of the fastboot commands by rendering flashing impossible).
!!Keep in mind, don't guarantee every device is saved on their source codes (plus their own stock ROMs) hosted at their own server (including Wayback)- some may be missing and unrecoverable!!
If one of the devices you like gets downloaded as a tiny .zip file (few kbs or mbs), consider it "unsalvageable" from Wayback-
but you can always attempt to copy & paste the link on your browser
(that is, by removing wayback's link before the support's site comes up- and if it is unavaliable even on the servers, then that sucks)
support.wikomobile.com on Wayback
Happy modding!

NOTE:I'm aware i'm posting this on the wrong thread, but i'm doing this in order to help the Wiko community in some way- since this is a Wiko thread eitherway, but sadly not a global forum for it.
