It's not a flash. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it collects light for your pictures. Don't quote me on it

ah no , i meant the light is self no white
is there an app that make only white flash light ?
or i can't because there is 2 LED on the flash ?

The amber LED is used with the white LED to create a more natural light closer to that of the sun. Trust me, it makes photos look better, you want it.

Change color of 'Charged' LED.

Like it says in the title. I want to change the green light to blue, when the phone is charged. Thought it would make a nice addition to the theme.
I don't think it possible because our hero has only got "two collered led" - grenn and orange.

It's only a bi-colour LED mate, so we can't make it any other colours
I just found out myself. Was about to close the thread, but you were faster than me. Pardon my ignorance.
Blue LED
There is a blue LED, if you hold trackball & power when booting up you get blue as it is in JTAG debug mode!
EDIT: Sorry, I was thinking G1! Would be nice though.
What about the LED on the left for bluetooth, isnt this blue?

No proximity sensor on our GSM hero That's the Eris. It's just a brightness sensor.

You can't change the trackpad as it's only a white LED. The notification LED is a tricolor (green, amber and red) however I'm not sure as to how to change what color shows when; granted I don't see why you'd want to as it makes sense how its set up now (green=charged/notification, amber=low, red=almost dead)

a app i use to change how fast and how often the led or trackpad led light flashes is Ledmeknow. its free on the market and works great. so far there is no way to change the color of the led
Learn to love soldering irons ;-p
LEDMeKnow has issues with CM7 and Themes .
Its odd noone has found a way to change it. Like said, the top one is only one LED and it is amber/green which should be able to be modified.
Haha I remember the G1 lit up blue when you had a Facebook notification

LedFlow only allows me pattern changes and from what I see only Green and Amber. Have you tried it and have you gotten Blue and Red and Yellow and other colors?
Noone have any information at all?
An LED's colour is a function of the hardware, and thus you cannot change it in software. It would be like giving you a can of red paint, and asking you to paint the room blue.
If only 1 color is included in the phone you won't be able to change the color..post above me was good lol

Hmmmm if we had the right tools would be able to physically change the trackpad LED colors???

When rooted, some phones have LEDs that can be changed to any color.
the point remains the same. those "some phones" are not the Desire Z nor is it a G2.
The fact remains the same: trackpad only shines white and the notification light only shines green or orange (maybe red, i'm not sure).
Refer to the post you quoted for a layman's term on why the DZ/G2 can not change to any color you want.

If by "tools" you mean a soldering iron and a bin of multicoloured LED modules, then yes.

Sure, and those phones would already have LEDs capable of doing that. But if your phone has, say, a green LED in it, you cannot somehow use software to convince it to emit any light other than green. You might as well ask if software can turn a 480x320 display into a 1280x720 one. The answer, again, is "no".

I wasnt sure if it had a LED capable of that as it the LED in it transmits orange and green.
And the display is one of the worst examples ever: You can thru software make your display display whatever resolution you want.

Q. notification color

I would like to know why mine is blue and I gave the black one and my wife has the white one and hers is green? Also the little spot next to the ear piece on mine had a red glow and hers doesn't?

yea it will throw a different color for gmail, sms, missed call etc...
The little red light to the right of the earpiece is the proximity sensor. Its emitting infrared to be able to see proximity. You aren't supposed to really be able to see it, but its normal to see dim red in there when the sensor is active. My Galaxy S II did the same thing.
You can use light flow in the play store to change the color based on type of notification.
The ambient light sensor also affects the notification LED - its dimmer in dark rooms vs bright rooms.

Light flow sounded like a cool app so I checked it on Play however in reading the reviews it seems people with a Note II have had issues with it running properly.
Check quick glance in motion settings. I didnt see the glowing light until I turned that on. Pretty neat feature

Do you have White or Titanium ?
Lol, only three, R G B.
There is no light blue or light green, just your proximity sensor dimming the colour depending on your ambient lighting intensity. Dark room, light led, bright room, bright led.
To get custom colours, you need third party apps like Light Manager or Light Flow. However, after using Light Flow for a day, I can say, other than R G B, no colour appear to be prominent! But I've also heard this is a problem with the Grey units, but White ones, on white ones colours come out perfect it has been mentioned.

I have a white one and I can make every color but no shades.
GNoteII
The only accurate color other than r g b that the grey version is capable of is cyan. The rest are ****.

i thought LED can mix any color u like by RGB, depends on the kernel
btw, i just saw white, blue, green and red appeared on my note2
For those using Light Manager and/or Light Flow, which one has the best results on Galaxy Note 2? Any issues?
I'm reading A LOT of bad comments on Brazilian Play Store from S III users about Light Flow, and I'm afraid of messing up things here!
Don't be afraid of messing anything, if something goes wrong just uninstall the app.
And afaik, Light Manager is more consistent than Light Flow. It doesn't mess with your 'Accessibility' options. But I've seen that it drains battery in advanced mode, so better use it in Normal mode.

I was afraid because I read some comments related to an issue that messed up colors "forever". And something like eternal notifications until reboot. Of course, these could be solved with a full wipe.
Thanks for the reply.. it helps. .

Hmm weird..
Your phone before was ok?
Did you take your phone to a repair center before having this issue? (If yes, they may have changed the light of the flashlight or something like that)
You mean the light on the right side (flashlight) or on the left side (OIS laser autofocus)?? If is the flashlight maybe it is broken somehow....
