Android Using So Much Battery? - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all, although I did a lot of tweaks to get more battery life, I can't still get more than 4 hours SoT in a day. After charging my battery and rebooting my phone, I realized that Android is using so much battery. Is anyone have the same issue and what can I do to reduce the percentages? Thanks.

[Q] Battery life

Hello.
I was wondering if my battery life is low or not, so I want to know what your battery life is guyz.
My battery would last like 12hs with wifi always on and facebook, some music here and then and youtube. is it a normal consumption ?
There are so many variables that come into play with battery life that is nearly impossible to quantify what sort of battery life someone should be getting. Screen on time, brightness settings, radios used, reception, usage patterns, apps running in the background....tons of things that will be different from person to person. Also, the actual battery itself comes into play with how well it can hold a charge.
As long as you are happy with your battery situation, all is well. If not, perhaps look into what is using your battery. Better Battery Stats can potentially help you narrow down where things on the software end are draining your battery.

That's about what I use to get.
I went out and bought a spare battery. I'm not a fan of extended batteries so I went with a standard battery for about $10.
I also flashed a new kernel that will help on the screen brightness and underclocking.

[Q] Mysterious Battery Issues

Hey all.
I have my LG Opt. G Pro E986 on Stock Firmware. It's rooted and has this Kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2363330.
Overall I'm ok with my battery life, around 2 days of usage with 6 hours screen-on time. Standby time is very good.
My problem is the following:
If my phone is around 30% battery it starts to drain a lot. I don't even have to use it and it's empty within 3-4 hours. The power consumption at this point is immense and i can't figure out why, there is nothing I am doing different than normal use. I even try to use it as less as possible at this battery level, but it just keeps going down.
I have Quad-Core management always on, power saving mode always off. I also do not have any other power saving applications or settings running.
Processor is on stock clockspeed, Voltage is on stock too, no Cores are disabled.
I searched for draining apps via Battery Stats Plus but did not found anything.
Useless Tasks/Processes etc. are disabled via App Quarantine.
I have this problem for a long time and now decided to ask for help.
Does anyone have the same problem? Can someone help my fix this issue?
Thanks a lot.
I see it too on stock battery but not on the zerolemon 3150 mah battery...it seems related to the way the phone measures battery %ge for the stock battery I guess

Well ok, if this is the case is there any way to fix it without buying a new battery?
I ordered one with 3800 mAh, but it was crap and didn't even last half as long as the original one, so i wasn't able to compare them regarding my problem.

Poor Battery Life

Got a Note 4 with Lollipop on it. Battery life doesn't seem to great. I don't do much of anything that is very intensive and get about 4 hours SOT and my phone is almost dead by the end of the day. My HTC One M8 was better than this. Checking wake locks the biggest wake locks are NipWakeLock and Google App/Google Quick Search Box. Any solutions or is this just a poor implementation of Lollipop? Are there any ROMs out there with better battery life or optimizations? All suggestions and advice is welcome. Thank you XDA community!
I also had horrible battery life since I upgraded to Lollipop. I downgraded yesterday and battery life is awesome once again. I can go a full day without connecting to the charger.

5.1.1 Battery issues

So recently I had updated to 5.1.1 but the battery hasn't really improved as it had for others. Actually, it has gotten slightly worse. I used to get around a 17 hour day with 3 hour SOT. Now at 17 hours, it's at around 1.5 to 1 hour(s) of SOT. I am using the battery saver, so the CPU's power has been reduced. I believe I read that 5.0.1 had destroyed the battery and to fix the issue, one should purchase a new battery. Can anyone confirm this? If not, are there any other suggestions?
My battery life got a lot worse than that after 5.1.1. Ultimately I ended up doing a RESET and the phone is so much better.

Is it time to change the battery on this thing?

I absolutely love and adore this tablet. I actually bought it refurbished a couple years ago and it still operates smoothly.
However, I notice that the battery drain is getting a little bad. When I fully charge it and look at the battery stats it usually tells me I have anywhere from 3 hours to 6 hours of battery use.
I'm a heavy tablet user so maybe I have been using the battery a lot.
I notice that there are battery replacement kits online. I'm really freaked out about the idea of changing the battery on this because I don't think it will be as easy as changing the Nexus 7 2010.
Can anyone provide me a bit of feedback on this? Should I be considering changing the battery at this stage? Should I even attempt it? I'm really afraid of ruining my tablet.

I don't think, that this is an indicator for getting a new battery for your tablet. Since Marshmallow the battery statistics on my flo show me exactly the same for the first few hours after fully charged. Let it run about some hours and us it normally - and you will see later a new calculation for about 3-4 days...
So it looks here since using Marshmallow.
Okay, I'll hold off on the battery for a bit.
Does updating apps put a damper on the battery as well?

Yes! - all read/write processes on emmc are eating our battery...
It seems to be eating it up quite a bit though.

Try this, always charge it powered off. My battery stats have been completely off since mm but by chance I discovered that I get my normal 8-9h SOT if I turn it off before charging and power it on after disconnecting the charger. I've had mine since late 2013 and still see fantastic battery life.
