Team EOS Nexus 10 Nightly builds
(Builds are not generated if there are no changes to source, saving you from useless updates)
Because this is an AOSP based ROM, Google Apps are not included. Flash the gapps of your choosing after you flash the ROM. If you need help finding a gapps package, ask any of us and we'll be happy to help
These builds are designed to be installed from your favorite recovery. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST 5.1.X COMPATIBLE RECOVERY.
Detailed instructions:
Going to EOS 5.1.X from another ROM:
Boot to recovery
BACKUP YOUR CURRENT SETUP!!!
Make a full wipe (Dalvik, Dalvik Cache, System, Data)
Flash the ROM
Flash optional kernel if you choose to not use provided kernel **We DO NOT support outside kernels**
Flash gapps
Reboot
Updating from an older EOS build to new EOS build:
You can usually skip the full wipe step and just wipe both caches. If ever you encounter an issue make sure you make a full wipe first before reporting it. This is what most call "Dirty Flashing". Normally this doesn't cause problems, but keep in mind a clean flash is always the best way to go.

Thanks. Nice to see something newer come to the N10.
It's all just an illusion

If you guys want anything let me know. Manta has the noble assignment of being my Netflix / pRoNz device so if you guys want anything let me know. As long as Netflix and MX Player Pro still work I'm game. This device is a bit dated so don't expect any miracles. Seems the Manta boards are a bit dead so we'll try to liven things up a bit. For the most part, this build is your guys' build. I'm usually busy running the Eos project so I'm mostly focused on the platform as a whole. But if I you guys want another kernel or something I'm game. Cheers!

Those were good days indeed. The best of times. But we still got some good times ahead. Like I said before, if you guys want anything, you got it. Just as long as it don't break mah pRoNz or Netflix ;D

My xoom literally broke 2 weeks ago and I just got a nexus 10. Awesome to see this!!

Running great here! Just one bug I found: when you set the back key to hold to kill the current app (and possibly if you set the back key to hold to anything), pressing the back key normally becomes very intermittent and unreliable meaning pressing it does nothing most of the time. Restoring back to hold to nothing again fixes it.
Also, at your first opportunity, could we get a new build with the stagefright fixes and other commits from 5.1.1r9 (or is that already in)?
Much thanks!!!

Not in a million years. I'm going to do a write up as to why this is the case. Seems this matter keeps popping up and deserves rational analysis, which I shall provide.

Still having the hold back button setting causing problems as described previously on the 8/9 build.
Also, can we update to LMY48I?

I tried hard but I couldn't duplicate this issue. I haven't touched softkey navigation for some time so there is no reason for me to believe it is broke at this time. I recommend adjusting the long press time out on softkeys.

Any change log available for the most recent builds? Much thanks!!

My Nav keys keep disappearing with no Nav mods like Expanded Display or Fling enabled.
Enabling then disabling Expanded Display brings them back.
Sent from my Moto X

Best ROM I've used in a while, its fast, smooth, has a low impact on RAM as apps tend to remain much longer and in a bigger quantity in memory than other ROMs
My device has been turning off during sleep but I believe that to be kernel related

Does this have OTA updates? The logo reminds me of the Team Exodus ROM I use on my OnePlus One. Is it similar in features?

Its been a while since I've used a stock rom.
However, we probably don't have as many customisable items as roms such as AOKP or CM, there is only a few of us that work on this rom afterall.
reserved for me
Menu?
One of the features I have appreciated from other AOSP-AOKP-CM9 Roms recently is the abliity to set the MENU icon(Soft Keys) so that there are four soft keys in the navigation - I tried to figure out how to make that happen with the EOS settings on this ROM and unfortunately I am either blind and can't see it or it doesn't currently exist.
Is this in the plan moving forward or will this not be something we can do?
Having said that - it seems like a great rom - very smooth - snappy - nice work!
One other quick question - the ROM Calls for downloading GAPS - 4-22-2012 - but there is a more recent version - 4-29-12 - is there some reason why you wanted us to flash that GAPPS versus the more recent one?

Is the compass working correctly? I already use EOS on my Xoom so I may as well run it on my Nexus .
the kernel u use what build is it # wise
before i flash, does this rom allow you to use the default slide unlock as well as a pattern/pin unlock simultaneously?
On stock its one or the other. so u lose your camera shortcut for the pattern/pin unlock.
Anon9mouz said:

Its straight aosp unmodified. As there are highly talented kernel devs in the gnex scene, the kernel is not a focus of our development. Personally I use Franco kernel with his paid market app.
I've done the touchstone mod and I'm having trouble charging from the pogo pin circuit. If I connect a USB cable to charge then power up the touchstone then remove the USB, it will charge from the touchstone. If I simply power up the touchstone charger it will only charge of the phone is off. It feels like a software problem. Any ideas?
Make sure to grab the latest nightly. Almost all linaro optimizations are implemented and its fast as hell. Camera and Netflix are fixed as well. We're still looking at string aliasing optimizations but its breaking prop libs atm. Let me know if anybody finds broken apps. Oh and please benchmark against some of the other crappy roms floating around.
What's the latest nightly 23?
Sent from my Sprint Galaxy Nexus CDMA using xda premium
Flashed the last est nightly i saw which was 23. It seems to be running great. Something I'd like to see is to be able to change the order of the notification Widgets. Thanks for the time and effort!

[ROM] [4.4.3] VanirAOSP [Official] [formerly ATOM] full-featured linaro+

This is the full release of my new ROM.
PLEASE READ:
This AOSP is not limited to CM, Vanir, CNA, EOS, AOKP etc. you get the best of all of them.. custom tailored for the galaxy nexus (and nexus 7 soon). no bloat for other devices or unusable additions in the source. the benefit? less bugs and a more optimized experience. More major features will be added from your favorite roms as soon as i can port and improve on them. I will listen to requests but don't get offended if i put them on the back-burner or decide against including them.
Disclaimer: Because I'm using building using commits from every major repo in existence it may take a while to integrate some of the major features to my standards. I may release a stock AOKP feature as a beta until I have the chance to improve it but I'm not interested in band-aid fixing things or duck taping **** together just to get more crap under the features list and change log. Also, If you have questions or interest in building or joining vanirAOSP please message me on gtalk: [email protected] and feel free to add me on google+
here is a link to the parent thread where you can view previous change logs and perhaps find an answer to a question

Thanks for sharing your work.
Kind regards.
Edit - I searched through the parent thread provided - is there an alternate messaging apk you could provide that's not dark? I have a real hard time seeing the baked-in one - other than that, I may have found my new DD. Thanks again.
Any chance for an updated maguro build?

charging up cant wait to get on this, he was the first hot JB rom with everything blacked out nicely
Edit-
ok charged up installed very nice and smoothe bloat free nice and dark and very snappy , would be worth the download and would run as daily driver , rocking this til his next update.....came from sorcery and Dark paranoid...dis rom is simple to the point heavy hitter
Yeah this thing is pretty darn smooth.
I have only had my GNex for a little over a week and have tried a different ROM everyday. This one by far is amazing. The ROM reminds me of the huge speed increase i noticed when i upgraded from my Fassy to the GNex. Kudo's to PD!

Rom seems very responsive. I have gotten a fc on gtalk and play store. I like lighter themes better so i installed a google theme from the themes section. After getting the fcs i uninstalled the theme to see if it helped. Still getting fcs. I'll clear cache in recovery and see if it helps. Btw, did a factory wipe prior to flashing rom.

Ok, sounds good!
Wow! This ROM is insanely fast and seems to be quite stable.
I'm coming off of mmuzzys and vicious, both of which I liked, but this is a different animal.
PD, I mainly switched after reading the details of your change logs, quick implementation of Android 4.2 features and, more than anything, seeing the glowing praise of your return on the other forums.
I see myself sticking with your ATOM ROM for some time to come.
Thank you!

I couldn't have said it any better. This is a whole new speed demon of an animal. I am coming off linaro aokp and that was already pretty snappy. This might turn out to be my daily driver.
However, is there a way to customize navigation bar rings? Also, can I still quick reply a text if I don't choose ton respond as soon as I receive it, like in aokp? I am unable to find such a setting, if it does exist.
Thank you for the great development.

Been using Atom since 0.57b when i stumbled upon kdh forum, (had heard DT was there) and been lurking for a long time. Guess i need to sign up lol.
This is quite simply the most well built rom I've ever come across, and i believe I've flashed them all for the gnex ( gotta have my crack flash fix! ) my addiction forces me to try the other roms/updates etc, but i always come back.
Thanks PD!

We give love and much respect to Cyanogenmod. The AOSP scene would not exist as it does today without them. We implement some of their branches to support legacy devices and features that users have demanded. The resources we use include, but are not limited to:
Features:
Code:
Phone: for T9 dialer support
MMS
T-Mobile Theme Engine
Branches:
Code:
libhardware, libhardware_legacy, system/core, system/netd, /system/vold, frameworks/native, frameworks/av, isolated frameworks/base cherry-picks,
and various qualcomm support related branches. We also use some qualcomm related branches from CodeAurora Forum.

Was waiting for an official thread. Will play tomorrow and I expect great things as usual !
For now I can confirm you can have normal eos toggles together with the 4.2 toggle stuff, lots of things in the EOS control center!
Toro is smooth as butter, myself I have the toro and brd has toroplus.
Currently we don't have a maguro maintainer but that shouldn't be a problem, let us know if you see anything specific issues or anything.
Have fun

Let me thnx u guys for the exceellent rom. I always look forward to using eos rom.
Running it for past 12 hrs with franco with no issues. Love eoscontrol centre.
One minor bug :: In tile/quick settings , using battery tile doesnot show actual battery status. It always show 0% with red exclamation irrespective of actual charge.
Using Maguro.

Do me a favor and uncheck then check the battery tile in eoscc and see if that clears it up, if not reboot for me and see what's up.
Thanks
I noticed it takes a second sometime to load right after its added to the tiles

Ya it happened once to me, but that was while I was testing so many different t things and it never came back so I didn't bother to dig into it much.
Hey guys. Can anyone give me an idea of the customization available? Clock and navbar and toggles customization is what I'm looking for. Also which firmware is this based on? Thanks.

Its 4.2.1
All the eos customization is there.
Set custom long press soft key colors, quick launch targets, all the good stuff.
Also plently of toggles as well as custom adjustable tile settings.
Make a nano backup and give it a run
Giving this a try, in fact I've just flashed, so what I missed immediately is the lockscreen quick pin unlock without pressing enter. Apart from that, looking good :good:
Anyone else having problem updating paid apps?
Code:
Couldn't install on USB storage or SD card
Is what I get for any paid app I have... latest gapps and latest EOS nightly. Tried different kernels but still the same problem and it's occurring in the last 2 versions.
Haven't tried other 4.2 roms so I've no idea if this is an isolated case.

Do we need to perform a full wipe when coming from a 4.1.2 JB rom (Eos 3 nightlies)?

If you're asking this question, I would highly recommend reading a lot more about 4.2 to save yourself some grief.
You'd see how 4.2 alters the file directory system to accommodate the multi-user feature. How cwm and twrp themselves had to be updated. And then ask yourself:
Do you really think a dirty flash is going to work?
(I think you get the drift... )
Thanks for your reply.
I was primarily asking the question to point out the instructions in the OP that only specified a full wipe when coming from ICS ROMs, which I thought was unusual.
It's those exact issues you described that have kept me from making the the jump to 4.2 prior to now.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Not sure the jump to 4.2 is really worth it, other than to be upwardly compatible with whatever else Google will upgrade.
Multiuser? I'm the only user of this phone, so who cares?
Gesture keyboard? Meh. Swype, Slide-it, SwiftKey Flow.
Photosphere? Used it once.
Quick Settings? Any ROM worth its spit already had notification toggles. And I hate this two-finger crap so I still use Power Toggles.
Thank goodness that great devs like TeamEOS jumped aboard and made 4.2 on par with 4.1.2

I'm seeing the same thing with nightly 71 on toroplus. I thought it was kernel related but I'm experiencing it with all three kernels I've tried (Franco, Trinity and Lean). Not such a big deal since I can restore apps from a backup but I can't update them for now.
EDIT: There's a post in the toroplus forum indicating Franco's kernel is causing this which is consistent with what I installed (nightly 71 followed by Franco's kernel). Apparently flashing a new kernel doesn't solve the issue but a fresh ROM install with a non-Franco kernel appears to do so. Will give this a try as soon as my battery's charged.

all for me. dont' know why but all for me.
this one is for me. i like it better
congrates on a new thread!
brd nova was ok, but it is a ram hog(dip down to 150m free) and i felt it reduced performance.
and since i only run eos roms, i have become accustom to stability and performance
i can live with the search bar, not a real big deal.
looking forward to the Bluetooth audio fix
thanks for all your hard work!
I guess the time has come for me to get my butt on 4.2 eh? Alrighty then. That will be one of today's projects. As for nova I use nova paid on both the xoom and bionic without issue.
I assume a fdr and system format are in order to move from eos3 to eos4?

I've never used it on Xoom. I'll bring in Trebuchet just so you guys don't feel thrown under the bus. Regarding Bluetooth its starting to smell like a science project.

Ya start clean. Save yourself a headache later.
Do we still have to do funky things to get LTE to work?

Thanks. I'm still working on backing everything up. Will give it a shot soon.
Thank you for reminding me liftman. I'll put that in the op.
So it's been stuck at "Waiting for network" activation can take a few minutes for over 10 minutes now. Is there something I need to do?
First install of 163, will not activate 4G through initial setup. Went to other method, still not showing 4G signal. Going to reflash shortly to see if this fixes the issue.
Just let the activation time out. Then follow liftmans instructions. I'll put that in the op too.

It finally timed out and I was able to get past that. Restoring my apps now and will then set the 4G up properly. Thanks!!
everything seems to be working. will try bt shortly. i am confused though. we used to be able to see the changes via jenkins but i cant find the changes there now since 150?
Looks like I'm up and running now, as well. Love it. Thanks for the work on this guys! Well done!

Ya that's all broke. I'll be starting a change log solution on the Google project page. In the meantime I'll let you guys know of anything significant. or decipher Gerrit review.
I've done that. It's still just sitting here without data. I have fluctuating bars, but no 3G or 4G symbol, and no data connection either.

Just my lack of patience. That's what I get for doing it while on a 3 hour conference call for work. LOL
