Hi all,
I would like to root my LG G3 phone. It is running Android 5.0.1. I haven't been able to root it with the no PC one click root apps, nor have I found a guide for doing it with Ubuntu.
Id like to either root it, or downgrade it to 4.4.2 and root it that way, but I don't have access to a Windows computer. Just Ubuntu 12.04.
Does anyone know what i have to download and what the process would be?

i;m new member come from vietnam so my english is not well
i got asus zenfone 2 type ze551ml when i rooting this device. it's complete and i go to check it from CPU-Z. it said: root access
and i check root by root checker basic and it said: unable to access root user account.
what should i do? i got superSU from root just give me advice to fix that tks all
I bought a used Verizon LG G Pad 10.1 tablet. Factory reset and working great ... Just no root. Attempts at rooting with Kingroot and Towelroot etc... have failed. Apparently bootloader is locked ... (encrypted, but can reset if root exists)
I do not have access to PC or MAC to use ADB (with which I am familiar ... I converted an Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 to Android using Safestrap CM11 ROM and Kingroot via ADB) sadly Im desktop / laptop deficient at the moment.
Is root possible given this information? And, if so, could you please provide me with some much needed and greatly apreciated enlightenment?

I'm trying to root a cheap phone that I just got, but i'm not able to do it . I've tried KingoRoot and kingroot, but no success. I've tried the windows version of kingo too. It's a Android 6.0. Basicly I wanted to root my Asus zenfone 3 Laser, but it's an androitd 7.0, so pretty impossible for now... So i'm trying with an older version but it's not seem to be very successful. Any help or tips, please?

I bought the same phone and am looking for ways to root it, it's such a bi**h! tried all the options you mentioned as well ...
popups all over the place, not just in browser.. need to uninstall some system apps that may be causing this.
Do you have popup issues as well? if so, did you manage to get rid of them ..?
I am new to rooting and I am trying to root my lm-x410asr phone and kingo root doesn't work, I also cant find the twrp images for my phone
