[Q] Ear speaker quality of Fire Phone - Amazon Fire Phone

How good is the ear speaker quality on the Fire Phone? (Not the stereo speakers.)
I tried throwing in a GoPhone SIM on a new Fire Phone, and then dialed 611. If I turn the volume all the way up, or one notch down from max, the automated attendant sounds bad. The sound of her voice is distorted and buzzes. I have to turn the volume down at least 2, sometimes 3, clicks below max for the distortion to disappear.
Did I get a bad Fire Phone, or is this normal?

Does anyone have any distortion or buzzing issues through the ear speaker on the Fire Phone when it is at the highest volume levels?

I was surprised by a lack of answers, and then it dawned on me... I'm asking this question exactly backwards.
So here's a better question: Are people able to turn up the volume on their Fire Phone all the way and enjoy loud distortion-free and buzzing-free conversations through the earpiece?

I'm able to hear the conversations fine at the loudest setting on the ear speaker. However, I have volume issues with the stereo speakers while on a call. The remember the speakers used to be louder before the firmware update.

[Q] Hissing and crackling during calls

Sometimes during calls I hear a hissing / crackling noise, as if the other partys voice is getting distorted.
A restart of the phone solves the problem temporarily.
Anyone else has the same issue or knows of a fix?

On a related note, can you report on the experience of taking a call on the G3 when the audio is run through your car stereo via aux? Can the other caller hear your voice well, even when there is some noise from the car moving? Do they hear any echo from their own voice being played over the car speakers?
Low crackling noise in headset on LG G3
When making call through the headset speaker there is a very low almost electrical sounding crackle in the back ground. Callers don't hear it just me. On speaker phone or in Bluetooth in car I don't hear it. It's present during every phone call. I bought 2 LG G3's, and black and a white for my wife and hers doesn't have this issue. All of her calls are very clear. Also today the G3 stopped recognizing my headphones, where as my work phone, a Galaxy SIII and my wife's it will. Some old iPhone ear buds work fine, I just think it's strange my newer ear buds stopped working and they still work in other phones. I have also had the phone just freeze while opening settings and making to phone call unfroze it.

buzz noise in the speaker on the back

If youre listenning to music or a movie and you turn the volume all the way down, put the speaker on back of the phone near your ear, do you hear the buzzing noise coming from there ?
Even when turning on the phone ( with the media volume at 0 ), I can hear the buzz noise for a few seconds (my ear has to be close to the speaker on the back), then its gone.
Please try and let me know if you dont hear any buzzing noise...
thanks
This is a common anomaly in all Snapdragon Devices.
My Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 which has the Snapdragon 800 does this as well. Replacing the speakers doesn't help, not that I haven't tried replacing them, but other XDA members confirmed this as well.
It has to do with one of a couple reasons, either the speakers are not properly magnetically shielded, or the CPU is feeding additional instructions to the audio decoder after the audio seizes. As far as I can tell on my Note 4, my speakers do not buzz after sound plays.
If the sound is too prominent, you can try replacing the speakers via Samsung, otherwise should be accepted as normal and move on.
Hopefully a developer can come up with a solution for this because this wasn't prevalent in Exynos devices.

The Buzz Noise is present on all Note 4's and other Snapdragon Devices. Sad, but true; there are so many other quality issues one needs to highlight regarding the Note 4. The good news is that its only when you place your ears directly close to the speaker this occurs, otherwise, its unnoticeable. :good:

loud volume mod.

I notice that the speaker on this phone are not the best, specially when on a call I can barely hear the other party when on speaker.

Ear piece speaker very faint and loudest from the back

This is strange.
Taking and making calls have gone very silent on my LG G4 H815 (UK Model)
When I am on calls the ear piece speaker sounds as though it has turned into a very faint speaker phone.
It is loudest when I turn the phone round and listen to the back.
It is NOT the large main speaker at the bottom
I have tried cleaning / scrubbing the front speaker grill.
I have tried as many volume settings as I can.
Using a headset, the calls work normally.
Using as a normally phone with volume turned up to the highest, I can just about hear and have a call.
Has anyone come across this before?
Thanks

Microphone/headphone sound disaster

My sennheiser headphones dont work very well with the 8.1. They work with every other phone I've had, but with this one the volume is too low and more importantly, the microphone quality is ****... It is too low, crackelly, traffic noise is audible above my voice... So I have to unplug my headphones to speak on a call. This is a massive problem for me, and is really agravating me right now.
Anyone know any solutions?
