Android Wear | Essential Apps: Moto Body - Moto 360

Has anyone else noticed Moto Body showing as an essential app since the recent Android Wear update? When selected it cannot locate the app. I'm wondering if this is something in the works...

Yep, same on mine with the latest Android Wear update. I was wondering if the app is only available in certain geographic locations.

Conflicting Android Wear Versions?

Android Wear on my HTC ONE M8 is version 1.0.5.1630507
Android Wear on my Moto 360 is version 1.0.1.1526154 (found when tapping version in About).
Why does it differ!?
They are different because they are different programs. One is the Android Wear running on your phone, the other is the Android wear running on the watch. They are completely different in function to control/communicate between a smart watch and a phone.

[Q] Anyone got On-Body-Detection?

With Android One phones getting 5.1 Lollipop, has anyone gotten the "on-body-detection" feature in the Smart Lock section of the Settings screen? The Google website says it's turned on only for specific devices. Any update on whether or not Android One is amongst them?

Android Wear version on smartphone VS version on Watch

So, I have updated Android Wear app in the PlayStore for version 1.4.0.2412408.gms
However, in my Huawei Watch, the Android Wear version is still 1.3.0.2176821 (Android OS 5.1.1).
Anyone knows why they are not the same? What am I missing? Is it because I don't have Marshmallow on my phone? or any other reason? "Let me know in the comments below. Peace ✌"
Everything is fine! The App didn't update the Wear OS. But App version 1.4.x indicates that there will be a Wear OS update soon. So stay tuned.

Just got Huawei W1 watch, which app to control watch from phone?

Hi, i have just got this watch, not really used it yet, i noticed you can download the huawei app on your phone which seems to get really rubbish reviews, so i was wondering do most of you use that appor does the google wear app do the same thing for like all android watches, is that a generic app by google and is it better, or is that for something totally different?
any other tips or advice would be welcome, i have a samsung s6 running android 5.1.1.
regards
James
Congratz on your Huawei watch. Not aware of the many people using that Huawei app. I know I'm not, you should just use the Android Wear app which is a universal for all smart watches.

Pie update - Dreamview VR problem

I'm one of the few who's using their Z2 Force in Dreamview VR. Since after the update, Dreamview became all but unusable. The main Home interface is stretched wide (but Settings, for example, are displayed perfectly; third-party apps aren't stretched either). Library and Dreamview Dashboard do not work (displaying a black screen with "x" and the gear icons).
Of course I tried clearing Dreamview and Google VR Services data, even tried downgrading the app. Interestingly, downgrading the Dreamview app to the very old stock version makes things work; however, that old version does not open the VR Play Store.
In the Pie firmware, Motorola pre-installed Google VR Services 1.20 (released in February 2019). However, instead of distributing the matching version of the Dreamview app (1.20, also released in February), Moto bundled a very old Dreamview app version 1.16 (released back in June 2018). I'm kinda suspicious that they knew they were breaking VR.
Anyone tried VR in Pie?
I have the same issue. I'm considering reverting to 8.0.
Here https://forum.skybox.xyz/d/566-moto-z2-force-with-android-pie users report the problem is on Google's side (a recent update to Dreamview libs/services caused this even on 8.0). I tried uninstalling updates, but it seems they are loaded automatically the first time I set up Dreamview.
Ya I have a 04 TMobile version which I flashed the Brazil or Indian pie update (or a mix of both or a mix of all three) I can't remember at this point. Daydream is screwed up has anyone been able to find a fix? I'm currently looking into it I'll post if I can find the remedy
Possibly related to this?

Fixed by Google with Daydream app and Google VR Services update: https://www.reddit.com/r/daydream/comments/cxq5ox/daydream_app_dont_work_anymore/
Thanks for the tip.
This solved it for me.
