[new Tutorial ] How to Copy FIles between Android to Windows Phone 10 or vice-versa - Windows 10 Mobile

Android 4.4 Running in a emulator in windows phone 10512 build
so i made shortcuts to easily transfer data between Android File system to Windows Phone or vice versa
android 4.4 running in windows phone had following restrictions
Restrictions:
1)Bluetooth is not working in android apps
2)WiFi ,cellular data works only net using ,no hotspot or internet sharing
3)downloading from browsers failed ,so no direct downloads
4)if you copy files from WP to android, Sometimes reboot required in order to identified by apps
5)maximum android app in taskview will be limited to 7 or 8 ,it will increase depend upon app state and running
5)if try installing Gpps and inter-op unlock sometimes it will leads to slow phone charging for 1% it takes 10 minutes and Apps become slow in performances
all images are in Attachment read it and follow images for better understand
Remember that :-
**** in order to use shortcuts you need to deploy at-least one apk then only shortcuts will open (do remember after Reset) ****
**********This Doesn't Require any root and gapp installations,even with out these it work better**********
But if you root you can deploy unlimited Apks ,you can download vcFan s Root tool download link and Tutorialhere

If you want to install multiple apks from a folder from command-line ,place adb.exe,wconnect.exe ...etc (tools link)+all your apks in C:\Apps ,
open Admin command prompt,in command prompt type "cd/"
it will come to C:\ then type "cd APPS" ,it will become C:\Apps then
type "" wconnect.exe usb "" ,
connectphone through usb pair with code
use following command
Code:
for %f in (C:\APPS\*.apk) do adb install "%f"
you can download all three shortcuts here : All shortcuts Extract it open folder copy all three shortcuts to phone memory root
*********** For copy anything from android to wp and vice versa ,place two(first two Attachments) shortcuts at phone root
and
place wp shortcut at Android Filesystem for faster copying *************
These shortcuts doesn't open destination in ""copying path"" ,you need to click on just before folder(or available folder names ) or back button(depends on need of copying) on top bar of explorer to continue copying path .
All Android Folders resides in C:\Data\Users\DefApps\APPDATA\Local\Aow :- AOW-shortcut
All Andoid app Data/Downloads/File Sytem are at C:\Data\Users\DefApps\APPDATA\Local\Aow\mnt\shell\emulated\0 :--Android-FileSystem-shortcut
All windows phone File system at C:\Data\Users\public :-- WP_System-Root-shortcut
Both zip files contains a folder there you can find shortcuts, extract them in PC/Mobile using unzip software ,place them in file explorer start page
these shortcuts works from memory card too.these not work when you copy and moving through ,you need to click on before folder on top of explorer to continue
1)How to copy Android App Downloaded files(media files) to our wp file systems :-
Go to Android-file system
Images saved in android apps will be saved to DCIM folder but downloaded files saving depend upon app. for example
I just copy my face book saved images to our picture (wp) folder,
***Copying android to wp easier because in file explorer always had phone and sdcard icons on left adjacent bar ***
just directly click on Phone/SDcard icons on left vertical bar in File Explorer for faster pasting files see images below
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
if you select copy from android folders just directly click on Phone/SDcard icons on left vertical bar in File Explorer for faster pasting files see images below
If you downloaded through other apps /download managers
search using magnifier button in our file explorer
Like for images *.jpg
For videos *.mp4 ..etc
You can Game files patches too,
Copying Files From Windows Phone to Android :-
place files that you want copy files to phone Documents folder use Start-copy_WPDocuments.zip to start copy
Here little bit difficulty because you need to go to main OS(c ) folder and there you need start copying
First Download this shortcut Download extract-WP-system_Root.zip and extract shortcut file to Phone memory root.
open the the shortcut ,it will go to pictures folder It will goes to pictures folder then on top click on public then normal file system will appear
For example if you want to move photos from cameraroll
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Copy files then click on pictures folder on top of explorer, then Again click on Users(important step)
Then click on DefApps
Then click \APPDATA like wise \Local\Aow\mnt\shell\emulated\0
Here if you are saving images save to DCIM folder further we use to share in different apps
click tick mark to copy
Like this you can move files between Windows Phone to Android or vice versa
check below images for better understand
APP Details :-
if you want to play videos in Android app ÄLLplayer working fine and sometimes require reboot to load media files in player ,if you download you-tube videos it search for subtitles so rename it to avoid subtitles searching Linksee Allplayer in action on wp in below images

actually Total Aow is not a public folder so we can't access through any shortcuts.when you first open phone memory all are under public/ folder ,so all apps can access it.but we can open Aow folder because all android apps need to access through file explorer to save their app data.only solution is step by step copy-path by clicking just before folder on the top of file explorer while copying wp <==> android FS

[XAP] New way of getting files into file explorer!

When wanting to put content on my phone I wanted to add it into the phones file explorer, much to my delight I found there was TouchXplorer allowing you to access the phones file system.
Sadly there was no way to copy content into this explorer and use it apart from the registry hack zune method but it renames files and causes more problems than is worth.
Recently ultrashot came out with a ported version of Opera. I looked into this further and found this was a good way to put files on the phone.
Step 1.
Download the XAPDeployer.xap file attached in post also install WinRAR, google it.
Step 2.
You'll see there is a folder called Opera, open the folder.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Step 3.
You'll see the same as the image below. This is where you can add the content you want to put into your phones file explorer. Simply just click and drag into the WinRAR window and click okay to the message.
Step 4.
Once done you can now install the XAP to your phone using Toms XAP installer. Once thats done run Opera Mini on your phone, it won't work but it will install the files you want into program files.
Step 5.
Install TouchXplorer attached at the bottom of the post and open it on the phone, navigate to Program Files / Opera Mini / and there you will find your files!
Notes:
There is also a windows folder inside the XAP which will copy files into the windows folder if needed.
Don't know if this has helped but I thought i'd get this out there
This has been around for a while. Heathcliff made the deployment XAP. Personally i just use WPDM as it allows easy drag & drop from PC Windows Explorer into WPDM window. No editing/deploying XAP's needed.
This has been known for... a few months, at least? First discovered by Heathcliff74.
Your method will still put the files in the application install directory (I mean, you're only going down one level and then back up again, why?) If you want to put files in the root of the phone, or any directory other than the \Applications directory off the root of the phone, you need to go up four levels (..\..\..\..) since the app install directory is \Applications\Install\<GUID>\Install.
I prefer 7-Zip; it's free, open-source, integrates pretty well with Windows without sticking a bunch of entries in the context menu directly, and is generally good software. It'll read anything, although due to the RAR format being proprietary I believe it's not allowed to write it (not that it couldn't, the RAR developers just refuse to open up their format - screw 'em).
Also, you really shold give credit where credit is due; TouchXplorer is the work of Julian Schapman, "schaps" on this forum, and is posted on his site http://touchxperience.com. Additionally, be aware that it only works on HTC devices, and even then only on ones with unlocked HTCFileUtility drivers, which means either they don't have the HTC Mango update (typically bundled with the Microsoft 7720.68 update) or are using a custom ROM or something like that. For Samsung devices, there is WP7 Root Tools by Heathcliff74, which also includes a file browser.

Agreed, also WPDM now works on Mango v2 Drivers for HTC. I'm using the DFT 7740 ROM & used it to copy in my custom icons & than his Advanced Config to change the icons.
is there any way I can deploy files directly to Windows\fonts folder on Samsung Focus?
Also I cant transfer files with WPDM to windows folder or windows\fonts folder
any ideas?
Build a provxml file. The specification for provxml is publicly available from Microsoft (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/embedded/gg155017). An easy way to move the files is to include them in a XAP and install it. Then, either deploy your provxml to the \Provxml\ folder (like the interop-unlock XAP does) or use an app like DiagProvXML (which will also assist you in building the file, if you want).
probably this is only a stupid idea, so i'm writing here instead of creating a new topic for it.
Idea for universal Interop-unlock, tell me if it sounds right:
i read that we can deploy registry editor if you remove the interop privileges string from the xml config files. With this you can only read the registry.
Well, if we can read the registry can't we make another application for a total registry dump?
After the dump was made we can edit the app-limit and copy that file on the computer.
Using the already know exploit that this thread is recalling.. we can overwrite the old registry with the new modded one.
overwriting the registry sounds sooooooooooooooo wrong, but maybe it could be a way to do the interop unlock, what do you all think about that?

I don't think this will be possible, but please correct me if i;m wrong:
* Without interop unlock we don't even have read access to the whole registery, dumping the phone's registry without interop unlock will therefor lead to an incomplete backup
* Restoring the registery by copying over on filesystem level almost certainly is not possible because of for example open file handlers to the current registery (which will prevent it from being overwritten). I don't know if special permissions (policies) are required (e.g. interop unlock) to overwrite this kind of system files [can we overwrite any file on WP as long as it is nog being used?]. The registry might be tagged as a ROM file (it ships with the ROM anyway) so even with interop unlock we will not be able to overwrite it.
Briefcase has it mostly right. Leaving aside the issue of being able to make a full registry backup (typically requires high permissions i.e. intoper-unlock already), you can't overwrite the registry hives with this. For one thing, the files that store them are located in the Windows folder, which this hack can't write to (the App manager not having write permission there). For another, they are almost certainly held with exclusive file handles.

Folders for Windows Phone [UPDATE 4/30/12]

Hey all!
New release! Time to clean up the thread a little~
The new release comes as a one-size-fits-all: rooted devices will receive the privileged features, otherwise simple Marketplace searching will be used. Here's the features list:
Pin Folders onto your start screen
Full customization on what goes into what folder
One App Suits All: Install the XAP, which will automatically detect if the device has root privileges, and select the appropriate method for adding applications.
Non-rooted: Add from System or Marketplace, including OEM Marketplaces
Rooted: Pin folders to your start menu (experimental)
Adds one of the most requested features to Windows Phone devices
The region can be changed when searching the Marketplace, too.
You can download it at the bottom of this page: http://windowsphonehacker.com/folders
Let me know of any bugs or feature requests. Thanks!
Thanks Jaxbot!
I'm on UK marketplace, seems to be working for "add system"
I added one folder "My Games" with just "Games" in it and pinned it. It worked.
I went back to the app, tried to edit the folder (doesn't always respond) and when I pressed "Add system" and cancelled it, the white frame still remained on top (should've been deleted). Pressing back, I got a toast notification with:
Well this is awkward
I didn't get any arguments...
[ok]
I'll try to make a video.

Confirmed, I'm adding the other markets soon.
Same goes with Nokia, I'll see about adding OEM markets, too.
Also, the popup is a dialog and doesn't behave like you would expect. I'm trying to smooth that out, but that's why that problem is happening. Thanks for the report.
(Also, there should be a little X on the box..try that)
Here is a small guide how to add apps, which you actually can´t find with the marketplace search function of the folder app, to an existing folder:
1. Download Windows Phone Power Tools from here: http://wptools.codeplex.com
2. Install and run it on your desktop
3. Go to "file browser"
4. Search for the guid of the folder app (a2e30887-7682-43cf-9a71-c20104b190fa)
Note: if you have installed the folder app with Windows Phone Power Tools you will find "Folders" instead of the guid
5. tap on the guid or on "Folders"
6. you will see a file type xxxx.folder (xxxx is the name of your before created folder)
7. Press "Get" button and save the file to your desktop or just use drag´n drop function
8. Open this file with the text editor and add the name, the guid and the iconname of the app you can´t find in the marketplace (just check the existing apps and you will see how to do that)
9. save the modified file
10. copy the xxxx.folder file together with the appicon (important: .jpg format) back to the device ("Put" button or just drag´n drop)
11. run Folders on you device and you will find the manually added app in your folder
12. pin the folder
Attached is an example of a self-created "Nokia" folder including the appicons, just copy, as descibed above, all files with Windows Phone Power Tools to the Isolated Storage of the folders app and voila you will see an Nokia folder...
Cheers

Anyway this isn´t so important atm because I have saved the images as .jpg.
I would like to upload a manually created folder with the most recent homebrew apps. Is this ok for you ?

I´m sure Jaxbot will update the app soon, so all regions and OEM´s will be supported.
In the meantime you can use the before posted method to complete your self-created folders as well as backup the created folder files. The backup possibility is important because sometimes the app crashes and all added apps disappear...
Great work jaxbot! Thanks!

"\Application Data\Volatile" is the temp folder used for downloaded files, including attachments. If there are any recently opened attachments, they will be in a subfolder called EmailAttachments\Attachments[bunch of numbers]. If files aren't opened for a while, then a new folder is created at \Application Data\VolatileToDelete[1digit] and the EmailAttachments subfolder and subfolders of it are moved here. There may be multiple such VolatileToDelete subfolders of the \Application Data\ folder at any given time.
\Application Data\Volatile" is also a folder to which access is granted via the pseudo-standard app capability FileBrowser (this is how Adobe Reader is able to open downloaded files directly). Of course, with TCB permissions, you can safely ignore the Capability list.
Hope that helps. Great idea.

Thanks for the info. While browsing my device I saw those folders, but they were full of downloaded stuff...
I will add the email attachment client as well as the filebrowser client (for being able to upload and download from any folder and to any folder) hopefully at the next weekend. The code for both clients is allready written, I just have to do some small modifications.

I can't make this app to work for me
it doesn't login to skydrive, no matter how hard I try.
And yes I do have a rooted device
The app simply states: SkyDrive not connected. Login first.
And it shows below a very tiny icon (the cloud from skydrive). Once I click on it, it opens the skydrive app (which shows all my folders on the skydrive service). Then what do I do? I tried with the back button on the phone to get back to you app, which shows exactly the same problem.
If I hit the Start button and then open your app again, same problem.
It simply doesn't login on skydrive.
I tried to search on the app settings if there is a way to connect to skydrive (usually all the apps that uses skydrive should be connected with the service first, using their APIs, so I know exactly what this app is doing with my skydrive account and I can easily revoke the permission).
BTW my device is LG optimus 7 E900 rooted with Hethcliff74 tool, updated to last firmware, OS (tango), etc.
I have no problem running your app, granting root access to it and to skydrive.
I also installed Program Manager (the app I am really interested to, together with your app I want to backup my games, app folders to skydrive), and granted root access to it
EDIT: I found the button to connect to skydrive! I tried tapping everywhere on the black screen on the app and found it on the top right side of the screen. Once I tapped on there, a windows icon with Sign In magically appeared.
BTW my phone theme is white but your app main screen is completely black. Dunno why the link doesn't appear on it

I have developed the app on my device using black theme.
If necessary I can color the sign in button for you with another color or add a background image...
Thank you for this great app

I use to love the crap out of this thing and used it daily. Definitely legit and definitely a have to have item for people. Easy to use and beyond useful. Great stuff.
I'm glad to see it back. The website and it was gone for a little while.

I really like it too, I have never seen anything even similar to it.
Do you happen to know any other windows file explorers which are even somewhat similar?
(not counting the wifi apps from the playstore which uses internet for basic & slow file copy)
As far as anything close to ADB Commander? No I dont. I know of these, which more just an adb with a easy friendly ui. But nothing even close to AC and its file manager and ui

How to install punjabi language or font in android phone??

Hi/SSA ji
Mostly punjabi community have complaint about punjabi fonts or language doesn't work in Android.
That happened with me also Nexus5. Here i bring a solution to fix this issue.
First thing that must need that is ROOT(Rooted phone).
There are two ways with you can completely fix this issue. With first step it works, but not completely. It just work in browser not with facebook or whatsapp status(You cannot read punjabi status).
First Step
Instructions:
1. Download Lohit Punjabi font from http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2691177&stc=1&d=1397712487 and you will have lohit.punjabi.1.1.ttf file in file manager/download folder
2. Download ES file Explorer and from the top left side (see pic) go in tools and turn on Root Explorer.
