Can't map with Sensorly? - Verizon LG G4

Does anyone here use Sensorly? I did not have luck mapping with Verizon on my G3, and can't on my G4 either, however when I use a T-Mobile SIM it maps just fine. Looking at the below screenshot, it appears that Sensorly can't figure out what carrier is being used, because when I use a T-Mobile SIM the carrier info shows T-Mobile. I'm wondering if this is an LG thing, or if I'm the only one. I did have an S6 for a week and that also worked just fine with Verizon.

Anyone else here use Sensorly? I put in a T-Mobile SIM and it mapped fine, but still doesn't map on the Verizon SIM.

I use Sensorly and got the same thing when I went into details. However, it seems to be mapping fine whenever I use it.

GMM My location error.

I've been getting the Temporarily not available error when trying to use my location since upgrading to the T-Mobile Touch Pro 2. I played around with the band settings and found this. When I use WCDMA only it tells me I'm in San Francisco. When I use GSM only it works correctly. When I use auto it only works when I do not have 3 g Tmobile service or the GSM is significatly stronger than the 3G. Can someone else having this problem try and see if it works with their TP2's also.
i know you're new & all, but this has been covered a few times since the Tmobile TP2 was launched. search buddy

Unable To Determine

Ok Folks;
I have called verizon a few times on this and I also tried looking thru the threads to a possible solution but I haven't found one.
Here's the deal, I have a HTC touch pro 2 from verizon. I am a canadian trucker but I have a USA mailing address and I am in USA 80% on the time. The phone has never been flashed, it running on the software they provided when I activated the phone. Now while I am in the USA the phone works fine...its when I cross the border into Canada (Ontario), I keep getting this Your Device is unable to determine what country you are in. It then brings up the county info screen which I usually tell it to get settings. It never solved problem...I called verizon, they said to turn off assisted dialing...I did that...still happening. I don't have data connection turned on as I won't use the phone for data in canada...I use it for phone and when at home in my apt, I hook it to my wifi...The settings on the phone (network) is selected for Global....I have also tried CDMA or GSM and both ways it seems to still happen....anybody out there happen to have a solution?
Thanks

Using the GSM radio on CDMA Touch Pro2

Has anyone pulled this off? I need to use the GSM radio on my CDMA/GSM Verizon Touch Pro 2. Booting either the CDMA ROM or the GSM ROM, neither can see the GSM radio with the SIM card inserted. Frustrating I appreciate all the work you all have done so far!
And for what it's worth, the port is amazing. I can boot up, use wifi and otherwise enjoy a great phone experience (sans radio of course).
Did you remove force_cdma from your startup.txt? I haven't tried it, but I'm pretty sure you can get the GSM radio working.
So playing around with it more, I can get the radio to work part of the time but it's very inconsistent and I can't reproduce why sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I did remove the force_cdma bit as well.
Also, on this model, any attempts to use the GPS immediately crashes out of Android (i.e., Google Maps or even Google.com mobile where it tries to geolocate).
Has anyone else had more luck? I was pleasantly surprised that for an hour last night the radio was on and in roaming mode. I didn't get data working but that could have been due the particular SIM. Still, potentially promising.
I can confirm 100% certain now that this will NOT work if you use a Verizon handset and roam using the included Verizon SIM card. The GSM version boots fine, but Verizon requires seeing the CDMA ESN to authenticate over the GSM network. Since this rom does not acknowledge the presence of the CDMA side of things, the ROM will not get data. Also the GPS definitely does not work in this configuration and crashes out.
You *CAN* use a non-Verizon SIM successfully, but you won't get the goodness of Verizon's unlimited global data using their SIM, which is a killer deal for those that roam outside the US.

[Q] 3g gps not working htc tilt 2 with t-mobile

hello All,
I got a AT&T HTC touch pro 2 (tilt 2) from my friend who had got it unlocked from AT&T as he got upgraded to a new phone. I am using a t-mobile prepaid on the touch pro 2. I have got couple of issues with it.
1. The UI responds very slowly.
2. The data connection icon displays E. When I called up the t-mobile customer care they response varies a lot. One says i need to unlock the device from AT&T and others says i will be able to use only Edge as its not a device provided by t-mobile.
3. The GPS doesnt seem to work. When ever i used Bing. It says that its not able to connect.
I have a request is there any customisable rom that would help in over coming these issues.
Regards,
Mahesh
Same here, but other way round
I have a T-Mobile TouchPro 2 I've been using an AT&T SIM in, and I can tell you exactly what's up- The ROM is probably trying to refresh stuff in the background and it's not working because it's expecting an AT&T SIM. Try another ROM. As far as 3G, not gonna happen. T-Mobile's 3G runs on different bands than the AT&T 3G. The T-Mobile SIM wouldn't even start up the phone if it wasn't unlocked. And I think the GPS settings might be wrong, try fiddling around with the COM ports in Settings, but make sure you make a note of what they were before. I'd recommend a custom ROM, not to solve the problems you speak of necessarily, but it runs a lot faster, and won't have all the AT&T bloatware that's kinda useless to you. Oh, and if you don't have Connection Manager setting everything up for you in your ROM, make sure you set your APN.

No Manual Selection of Network

Hello I have an odd problem. I have an unlocked ZL which has been working fine on AT&T in the US. I travel to London a lot and have the international data option on my account and has always worked fine with my other phones. However after arriving in London my phone is stuck on Everything Everywhere (EE) and they don't have a roaming agreement with AT&T. This would be an easy problem to solve by manually selecting a different network but this is my problem. On my phone network selection, below, APN is not showing up. I originally thought this may have been disabled by the original network (Indonesia I believe) so I flashed the US generic firmware and Nordic but nothing I do makes it show up. Anyone else have this problem or solution?
Thanks

Its DISABLED by your AT&T sim not the phone. If you notice by putting another Sim (Non AT&T) You can then use network search. Also ANY AT&T Branded Phone Network Search is LOCKED. I know your ZL is not AT&T branded but your SIM is which is causing it to lock it. My disapers when using an AT&T Sim, But when putting a T-Mobile USA sim or Orange UK sim BAM Network search shows up..
Also I think AT&T has Agremeants with EE , as EE can roam on AT&T here in the USA, EE is basically ORANGE UK, If they did not have aggremeants your phone WOULD NOT connect to the network. Make sure your data roaming is checked..
Thanks you are correct. Crazy considering they wanted me to manually select a network other than EE.
They're support is sometimes ehh. If they had never been out of the county they probably won't know. How is it over there . Always wanted to go.
