Was struggling with battery life on my moto360 went into my battery stats on andriod wear app and saw motoconnect using 5% of battery. I know it's not much but I have deleted the motoconnect app but do not understand why it is still being shown with battery usage.

it access the watch for location, so that we can track till where the watch was connected with the phone (in case we miss it)

Makes since thanks for the response thought it was something within the motoconnect app that I earlier download from app store that didn't fully uninstall correctly.

I think it's buggy. On my phone, it shows Maps using a ridiculous amount of battery when I'm not even using the phone, yet my battery drains normally (about 1%/hour). Then there is the ICS issue of Cell Standby reporting errors.
Download GSam Battery Monitor from the Play Store. I bet you see the results you are expecting.
Thanks will look at it

try to find the app which is causing your battery drain, you can disable or delete it in the apps menu

I have installed battery stats plus and it reveals that the "Network. location" is the problem. The only app that uses it is the battery guru from snap dragon. Ill try uninstalling It and report in 24 hours.
Thanx for helping me.

Battery Drain

Hey everyone, I'm experiencing some pretty bad battery drain. I've had my phone off the charger for an hour and its already down to 75% and I've barely used it. I checked my battery usage and Google Services are taking up 75% of my usage. Is this normal and if not is there a fix that anyone knows of?

I would start with going over to android central and the HTC one forums, they have a sticky post about battery life here http://forums.androidcentral.com/htc-one/269518-htc-one-battery-life-stats-discussion.html
Looks like you should turn off your GPS and location, and turn off your sync. Download the gsam battery monitor. It will help you out too.
Thank youuuu

Battery drain on idle

Hi, I just got a nexus 7 (its been a month now) when the device is on standby it drains all the battery, in fact it only lasts 6h. In the battery usage, all there is is 'tablet idle' and 'WiFi'.
Till now I have tried clearing the cache partition, restoring factory defaults (more than once) and even signing in with a different user after factory defaults, nothing helps!
I managed to get proper battery usage maybe once or twice.
When this happens the top right part of the tablet gets really hot!
Any clues? Should I return it back to the US?

man it could be anything....more than likely though you have a rogue app that likes to kill your battery. The best thing to do is go through your apps, and delete them one by one to see if you can pinpoint the app that is hogging the battery.
Just an update on this. I found out which app was draining my tab, believe it or not, it was the official google now launcher!

After some 2 months the issue is back!! I installed no new apps since the time I said it was sorted. I have also tried to boot in safe mode but even in safe mode the battery drains in a matter of hours

Android wear always running

Does anyone know why the android wear app always has to be running in the background even while Bluetooth is off and the watch is disconnected? Seems like a waste of battery life and performance when the watch is not even in use...
Greenify also has no effect on it for some reason...

because its a service? i don't think the connectivity state is dependent on the app's performance. the app is waiting for a connection or an opportunity to connect anyway.
