Stock task manager laggy - Elephone P8000

Hello, when i open the task manager of android lollipop (pressing the home button) it seems quite laggy while swiping away the task. Does anyone else have the same problem?

Same here, sometimes the task manager is a little bit laggy. I am on stock rom 0725.

[Q] RSK v7.0 Lockscreen Freezes and Rosie Restarts

Hi,
with v7.0 i tried RSK for the first time. My Problem is, that the Lockscreen freezes most of the time. I can unlock with TP but then the Ring and the Shortcuts stay like an "overlay" for some time.
They dissapear after some seconds. Also Rosie seems to be quiet unstable. It's not kept persitend, so it's reloading from time to time. When it does so, it's loading, resets and starts loading again. This hapens three to four times. after that everything is fine.
Any clues where this might come from?
-standard a2sd
-standard ui
-snq kernel
-stock hboot
-no other changes made in aroma except some apps
If you need more info, just ask and i'll provide as i can...
Thank's
You could try to change some settings in daemon controller, push the freq levels a bit up. Or try a different kernel.....strange that it only happens on lock screen.
What sdcard are u using ?

Check daemon controller sleep settings and consider pushing them up a bit....
My sd-card is a 16 GB class 10 Samsung. Will try The deamon settings.
Any thoughts on rosie restarts?
Thank you guys!

Apply this script using Script Manager and it will activate Hard to kill Lauuncher which should hopefully solve your problem...

Why one x isn't multitasking ?

Only few people bother about that :
When you open for example a web page and then open 3 or 4 light applis like appygeek, news republic, or tapatalk and you return back to your web page, this page will reload most of the time.
Same problem with HTC sensation and Samsung galaxy note ....
I think there isn't this problem with an old iPhone 4 ....
Any idea ? Is it a problem of ram, a problem with android ?
Envoyé depuis mon HTC One X avec Tapatalk
Problem with sense taking up a lot of resources so ram is limited. But it got a lot better with the 4.0.4 update. Before that it wouldn't even work with 1 app open.
I have android 4.04, I tried with official Rom and with insertcoin, with sense and without sense, same results.
As I said sgs note is not much better.
Do you know a smartphone that works well with multitasking ?
Why 6 years old pc don't have this problem ?

if you're rooted, simply set the low memory killer parameter using application such as system tuner .... (if you're using venom viperx rom, you do not need to download additional app, just launch venom tweaks and configure it here)
or use terminal emulator then write su then echo "1536,3072,4096,10240,10240,12800" > /sys/module/lowmemorykiller/parameters/minfree (or the lower values)
there is also a problem in iphone 4 though, but because of the memory management of iOS that called makes app run at lowest resources as possible, the problem is rarely happened at the time iphone 4 was launched ... now i dunno if iphone 4 could still do the trick
Actura,
I am rooted, I have just installed system tuner.
It looks a bit complicated but If I have understood, I have to do this :
in system tuner, in the tweaks I chose oom and set the memory presets to very light and then the settings are 2 4 5 8 12 16 mo is this ok ?
Envoyé depuis mon HTC One X avec Tapatalk
And for you it makes a real difference than using HTC normal settings, for multitasking ?
If so I would be so happy because, it's very annoying to have my browser always reloaded when I open several mini applis like tapatalk.

I tried just about every setting, but this annoying behaviour is still there.
The reason is because there is no swappable memory, so each application has to remember its state by themselves.
This is by design - by my opinion one of the most terrible design features of Android.
The reason for this design is that you normally do not close a program, but leave it in the background 'running' when opening another app. So, because you don't close any application, the OS does this for you when it is needed.
However, the OS does not know which background application can be force-closed and which must stay in memory or, at least, be remembered.
When anyone has a real solution, I would welcome it!!
eg. closing the programs in a selective way:
- Define an exclusion list (these apps are never closed by OS)
- Define an inclusion list (these apps are closed first)
- Define an order for apps not on these lists: - by last opened, by memory consumption, by... (whatever else could be relevant)

The "manual" fix I use is the feature most roms offer to kill an app with a long press back instead of sending it to background. It's nothing complicated and I decide what stays in background. Not only per app but also per case. Sometimes I like maps in the background but sometimes I like it shut. Nice sideeffect: Its a lot faster to close than most apps that offer a "Quit" button.

Yes, it's in ViperX and I love it! Use it constantly. However, it is a forced close immediately, so apps that remember their state when closing do not save that state when using the long-press-back. This is something to remember.

HArrharrharr. Yes. And I love it as much as I love my "kill -9 PID" on linux. Gives me the short feeling of being the one controlling it (right before I realize again that the opposite is the case).
There was a whole thread on this, check it out. Hope it helps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1669074
Ok guys !
I think I have tried a lot of methods, system tuner, scripts ... But nothing changed my one x in a Ferrari !
I am talking of multitasking of course.
I am talking about the ability to open a background app like dolphin browser, without always reloaded the app or the page.
nothing has never worked well.
If you switch between 4 or 5 applis, when you return to tapatalk or dolphin the page will reload.
I tried the galaxy note 1, a bit better but about the same, I think it isn't a problem of brands.
In conclusion do someone tried and found a smartphone that really works with multitasking ?
Why the hell, our old pc can do it and not our smartphone ? Have you an idea ?

Firefox never reloads for me, nor any games. Multitasking is perfect on my phone. Saw alot of people complaining about these problems, but also there are people like me, who has the perfectly working multitasking.

If its bothering you would buying another iPhone be better? Or a note 2 with 2GB of ram.
guys still wondering about Sense 4 multitasking should check this, there is an app limit
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1900626
thanks to arincs for finding this
An iPhone, me, coming from sense ? Never !
Hamdir I think it isn't only a problem due to sense, cause when I use my one x with a no sense Rom the result is almost the same.
G note 2 maybe... Samsung gs3 with 2 go ram maybe.....
It would mean that real multitasking is only possible with a lot of ram...
I don't think all is so simple but I hope so.
Am I the only one who is surprised that you can open 15 Windows with 2002 old pc (without any reloading) and not with brand new smartphone ?
Envoyé depuis mon HTC One X avec Tapatalk
There are 2 app limits.
All androids have the one that Maximum Overdrive fixes.
Sense has another one... which is why I also came up with the Non-Sense Limit as well.
All the mods are in the services.jar files that I attached.
@zeppilinox
What is maximum overdrive ?
I have read and read your thread about multitasking, for me it is very complicated...
I don't want perfection is there a method quite simple to improve multitasking.
I have insertcoin Rom with sense 4.04 but I can uninstall sense no problem.
What you mean zeppilinox is that the problem of multitasking is due to android system, not due exclusively to one x ?
Envoyé depuis mon HTC One X avec Tapatalk
No problem for me... I can run firefox, open appy geek, calendar, solid explorer, sms, gmail and return to firefox without reload the page...
Running on ViperX and franco kernel. (around 270 - 300 Mo free ram).
Try perhaps another scheduler, I have read it can change multitasking performance.
Sorry for my english

Maybe you could be more specific. Which variant do you use? What was the last stock ROM you were running? Where exactly do you experience the lag? What were you doing before experiencing lag? What type of lag do you mean? Long loading times? Low FPS (stutter)?
On absolutely stock ROM I also had problems. Then I switched to CM12.1 and there the whole system was slower. After that I switched back to custom stock lollipop and all problems are gone.
But I don't know why, maybe it's an kernel problem. (H815 unlocked)
Gesendet von meinem LG-H815 mit Tapatalk
I've lags means that apps takes 4/5 seconds to open, animations miss frames
That's weird, I'm living in heaven on CM12.1
Obviously a custom ROM that's not based on stock WILL be faster because of how little the system will put a load on the hardware. There's definitely something on your side slowing it down.
Got xposed flashed by any chance?

Huge battery drain on OOS4

Hi guys
I'm under OOS 4 (hyperstock 4) and i have a huge battery drain from "Android System"
I came from RR 7.1.1
Thx !
Same here, Android system and kernel are draining my battery. But it's funny, If restore my Beta 10 backup works great, no battery drain on the Beta.
Since OB9 my battery life is bad. I think this is due to the Google Play Services. They are not battery friendly. To reduce the drain, try to disable syncy to Google (if you don't use them) and also disable Google App, Google Now, the Google Voice thing, etc. (if you don't use them).
same here i try beta 9 and the battery drain was killer... i skip beta 10 and now i install the OS4 and the same with the battery drain. Ill go back to 3.2.8 if i dont get a solution.
Try Freedom OS 2.0 it has some battery patches.
...
OOS4 is Worst update ever... Much better options are OOS 3.2.8 or OPB10

Well, I have 2.79 SR1 and in standby it's quite OK, but while screen is on, it's draining a lot!

Not having such problems at all, battery is very solid for me.
Screens: http://imgur.com/a/vHvH1
Battery life with Beta 8 was quite good.Problem started with beta 9 where they introduced build in hibernation tool which still do not work as great as greenify.
Enable airplane mode. Reboot. Disable airplane mode and reboot. Fixed it for me.
If you're rooted, use SuperSU 2.79 stable from their site. SR1 has issues with battery drain.

I am not seeing any battery problems like what is being posted. This build seems solid to me. Maybe people need to check the apps they are running to find cause of drain.
I have a OP3 and 3T. Came from RR 7.1.1 on the OP3, clean flashed Beta 9. Battery was stellar. Flashed Beta 10, huge battery drain from Android System. Tried to reflash, restart, no Gapps running, etc. No luck. Ended up dirty flashing Beta 9, running perfect again with great battery life. I use pixel dark launcher, same result with this or stock OP launcher.
TWRP is 3.0.28, SU 2.79 sr1. I did try SU 2.78 sr5 as well.
I'm on official 4.0 with modified twrp. and super user 2.79 SR1. my battery seems okay i guess. it's just my voice call is eating the battery most. which I don't think is normal.
Debloat your OOS 4.0. I got mine with stock kernel and have 5hrs SOT with 31% remaining battery.
Project XANA mod btw.

OC causes reboot in any case

Hello everyone
Is it possible that my soc is just to bad?
In EX Kernel is even the minimal OC option causing a freeze within 1 to 5 minutes after applying. Regardless if on Nougat or Oreo Stock/custom/LOS etc
Zest Kernel is causing this issue without any tweaking, so it's unfornutaley not working for.
I'm wondering because In never read any user complaining about this.
If a logcat is needed (you can be sure I will only need 10 minutes and im ready to upload the log haha)
I will provide one or maybe one per rom/kernel constellation, maybe you suggest one, once my f*ing win10 is finally able top work properly, Im just reinstalling since yesterday literally 5 times due to this buggy v1803 OEM release ESDs.
And I know OC related stuff is of Courage not intended by LG but Its a little flaw
