I am also very worried and have found others bad news about the Fire Phone:
Amazon is downsizing its hardware projects:

Amazon Lays off Engineers who worked on the Fire Phone:
http://www.androidheadlines.com/2015/08/amazon-lays-off-engineers-who-worked-on-the-fire-phone.html
I already has sent an Email to the Amazon Technical Support Department, just to ask them if is true or not that Amazon has given up on Fire Phone??*
Does anyone here knows something New, about this bad news??

Praise ggow and burn Lab126 to the ground, huehuehue.

Don't know if Amazon has or has not given up on the Fire Phone, but for $130 now (I had just bought it two days ago, and then contacted them for a refund of the $31 difference) including a year of Amazon Prime, it is likely the cheapest 'fair' handset on the market. Tempted to get a couple more to root.

Probably varies from seller to seller, but in general, yes. Prime included. Lowest I saw 129.99 free shipping.

It was there this morning, now it is saying unavailable. Looks like I picked a great time to have my existing Prime expire and picked up the phone just before they stopped selling.

Seems like they are. I would be very happy if they decide to give a bootloader unlock as a going away gift

I picked one off eBay with Prime for 139.99, there seem to be a few others out there. I been playing with it for 5 days now. So far so good, and for a net price of 40.00 bucks, definitely worth it.

I am on the fence about buying that att fire phone too from ebay. (I read something about it updating to a newer OS from A&T causing side loading issues?)
Two questions:
1. With stock fire OS: Is there a way to get google apps (maps, Navigation with GPS) work reliability I don't want to be stuck to here maps.
2. If I go the CM11 route, has the mute button issue and other basics been fixed? And I assume here google apps will have no issues working.

call customer service that's what i went through to get mine and it comes in like 1-2 days
I tried customer service and they said they were sold out as well. I called around to the local Verizon stores and on the second store they had one even though the first store checked and said no one did. That would be your best bet on finding one.
Really happy I jumped on the battery *****ing bandwagon and got mine for free
Android central and htcpedia had them yesterday
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA Premium App
Androidcentral says they'll have it 'around 5/27', htcpedia is over charging by $10..not going for that.
mobilecityonline is backordered till the 8th but just another website to check out if the other ones are back ordered too. i got mine few days ago and paid for regular shipping and ended up getting it in 3 days haha pretty fast shipping
Verizon had them available online last night...it's just a matter of getting lucky and checking at the right time.
I got lucky and found one on eBay for $40.
I ordered one from tech support yesterday, the local store couldn't find one.

I was watching the VZW extended battery page for the better part of 3 weeks every morning noon and night. They had them in last monday and I jumped on it and bought one. Free 2 day shipping and got it with my employer discount. It's nice.
Had it on wireless tether (last day), from roughly 1pm to 9pm. phone just died a few minutes ago. now im charging it before work tomorrow. Definitely makes a difference.
Verizon website now shows it available. I just ordered 1.

Working on Chrome. I'm able to add it to my cart just fine.
Hint: use code BAT30 to save an additional 30% (working as of this post, not sure when it's going to expire/end).
Yikes...wish I knew about the 30% off code before I ordered...ah well.
Just got mine for 38 dollars off verizon
Got one when I first got the TB, and thankfully I did! Sounds like it is quite a pain to find an ext bat!

At first I thought it was a typo.........

.........then I checked all his items for sale and it turns out the seller has several Evo cases on sale.
FOR $10,000 EACH?
http://cgi.ebay.com/HTC-EVO-4G-JORD...560552?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item2eb3793468
Wtf? For that price, you'd think shipping was included, but there's an extra $3 charge for that.
I sent him a message asking him if that was the actual price. Interesting stuff on ebay lately.
This will go good with my new limited edition oreo evo

I thought about asking him about the price. Now that I think about it, he could have copied the listing several times over to add several cases and not noticed the price.
I sell auto parts on eBay. I see this all the time because normally people don't have these items in stock so they put up at high price rather then deleting the whole post. This way the item is always listed and they can fix the price once there inventory gets updated.

That makes sense. I would still make a note on the auction saying "Out of stock; price will be updated to $xx.xx once stock arrives." or something along those lines. That way anyone interested would still add the item to their watch list.
I would probably give him $9000 for it, but not $10000. its all scratched up around the rim of it.
dude is smoking.
Id say $8500 is tops he will get for that thing
Here's their response:
Thank you for your question. this
item is currently out of stock. we
will remove the high price once we get

sell a phone case with that kind of
ridiculous price. sorry for the

cadguy thanks for that just bought one £4 from ebay
I really want one (from the UK) that allows payment other than PayPal, I don't have an account and for £4 not really worth signing up for. I normally pay by debit card when buying from eBay shame can't do the same with this. Anyone have a spare they want to sell me? Thanks

Magnetic wireless charging car dock - $65

Just found this on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Synergy-Vehic...id=1386012232&sr=8-15&keywords=qi+car+charger for $65, I just put in a preorder.
It looks pretty good, and there is a video on Amazon. Does anyone know the company? What do you think?

Posted a few times now. Not going to be produced. The inventor tried Kickstarter but failed to meet the goal required. Not sure why it is still listed on Amazon.
Looks clunky...but most of the car chargers are.
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cellinnovations/synergy-worlds-best-wireless-smartphone-charger
How does the phone attach? With the nano-suction material (the "special foam" they list)
My only concern, is it's meant to mount to your windshield. You get in a car accident, do you really want a 1.5 lbs of metal flying around in the car ready to knock you out?

Damn that sucks, I found the kickstarter page and there they are listed for retailing for $95, with early backers being able to get it for $75, while Amazon has it listed for $65. That makes me think that the Amazon page is more recent or has been updated at least. So there may still be hope, I just emailed the founder and asked if the project was still alive and for an ETA.

This is illegal.
Anyway, yes they can but will they is the question
Blacklisted devices sent with the DSN identifies the device. In addition, the RFID chip in the device (used for stock and asset management) which identifies the Amazon account used and the serial number when scanned in Amazon Warehouse will be compared with the device's serial number with the DSN on box. If mismatch - suspicion will arise, they can remotely blacklist the other device as well using the Amazon account details from the RFID (which is how they come dispatched from Amazon with your account already logged in).
I do not know if the RFID is present or configured on devices from retail stores. But heck, they'll compare the DSN of RFID and Box and then list all accounts associated with that.
However, do they actually do this? Hell no, the workers are paid little and couldn't be asked as there is more ludicrous amounts of fraud going on.
From what I know, this is present on the Fire Tv 4k. Not too sure about other devices, the remote controls also contain the RFID.

FireTV 4k RFID
Fire Stick is under foam on the plastic
This is all speculation on how they blacklist devices and I believe it's all to do with the asset management rfid tags. If bought from Amazon, they also have the DSN of the order details and will compare with the RFID. For retailers, who knows.
But for sure - yes they can find out easily. Will they? Well, there have been a couple of blacklisted devices so probably, depending if a retailer will submit rma to them or third party centres.
