Does the dedicated camera button work to launch the camera app?
What does this mean exactly? "Lack of amazon source, see here."
Is there an option from within Safestrap to create a ROM backup?
What do you mean about the GAPPS preserving? I have never had an issue with Google Apps on CM before. So any more info would be helpful with that.
Thanks again!

- Look at Post number 3 on the CM-11 thread
- Some GAPPS include a self preseve script to survive OTA update but sometimes this is not what you want

First, let me start off by saying I apologize if any of these questions are annoying you or any other user here. I just want to make sure I get a full picture of what I can and can't do with this ROM before I install it.

From what I can tell, by default it will not launch anything until you select the default camera via the lock screen. Is this accurate?

I would be installing this right out of the box tomorrow after I boot the phone up once to get the free year of prime and also get the needed items to do the slimkat install. Would you recommend I use the CleanSystemPartion thing first?
Basically doing the following steps in this order:
1. Install safestrap
2. Follow the instructions in the OP:
From Safestrap, go into Wipe Menu and Swipe to perform a factory reset.
- Installation in the Stock Slot is Mandatory
- Flash the ROM File
-Flash CleanSystemPartition
- Flash PA Gapps Modular PICO
- I believe SlimKat has SuperSU built-in if you want root
- Reboot
- Enjoy!
Is that what I should do or since I am doing a clean install without any previous version of Android and nothing added to the standard FireOS? Again, sorry if this is a stupid question, just want to make sure I cover all my bases.

- Correct about the Camera Button
- Follow the Fresh Installation Instructions on the OP and the Safestrap thread for an out of the Box installation. So no need for the CleanSystemPartition.zip in your case.

I second this. It would be great to know! I usually use Hangouts Dialer to make phone calls on my phone, does that matter in terms of the mute button function or is it more of a ROM issue and not a specific app?

- The MUTE function was definitely not working in CM-11, upon investigation it seems to be issue in the HAL. Again if I had Amazons system/core patches etc then I could fix this. I know how to fix it.
- It's likely that MUTE button still doesn't work in this ROM
- People have also been reporting that Hangouts Dialler was echoing in CM-11 rendering the app unusable. I think again in this ROM that problem could exist.
- The fix again would come from having those system/core patches
- Now that Amazon are not making phones for the moment at least - they should open source the whole lot - hell - if they did that and enabled me to complete the ROMs remaining features I'm sure then they could sell the rest of their vast stock with CM-11 or SlimKat on it

I have just tried a few calls testing mute .
1: Standard dialer , mute not working
2: Facebook messager calls mute working fine .
3: whatsapp mute working fine
Hope this helps

It is interesting you mention this, I have a Moto G currently and when I installed CM11 on it everyone I spoke to would hear an echo of their own voice. I thought it was my case because it would get better when I removed it. But sometimes it still happened. Another way I would sort of fix it was by raising the volume all the way to max and then lowering it to the desired level. What it made me think was the speaker was so loud that the mic would pick up their own voice. But when I updated to AOSP Lollipop a few months ago, no one had an issue with echoes in calls. So perhaps it is an issue with CM11 on some devices and Hangouts??

Introduction
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project and is made up for the most by the community.
This is an UNOFFICIAL build of CyanogenMod 12 for the galaxy fame S6810/B/I/P/... S6812/B/etc... So these builds should work for all the fame devices. You can flash it on another phone but I will not be responsible if you will cry with your brick phone.
This is only for testers who know how to report an logcat so we can find out problems and try to fix them.

How do I enable Dual SIM?
To enable or disable, run the following command from adb or terminal emulator and then reboot. SIM Settings can then be found in Settings -> Multi Sim Settings
Option 2 which is the fastest one is to check out this app made by @Xenon92 it also has a nice UI, I hope it works on the fame else I will remove the link again:
https://github.com/xenon92/multisim-toggle/releases
Enable:
Code:
su
setprop persist.radio.multisim.config dsds
Disable:
Code:
su
setprop persist.radio.multisim.config none
Note that Dual SIM mode currently has the following limitations:
Both SIMs are always enabled (no way to disable one SIM)
"Receive incoming call while data is enabled" is always enabled
The QuickSettings tile will display the status for the currently selected SIM for data
There is no arrow activity indicator in the status bar.
Changing 2G/3G network mode using the QuickSettings toggle is not supported, only do it from Settings.
Changing 2G/3G mode in Settings may show too many options if the language used is not English. If more than 3 options is shown, only use the 3 top options (which will be WCDMA only/GSM only/WCDMA preferred regardless of the actual label shown).
3G may not work properly if Dual SIM mode is enabled with only 1 SIM inserted
Cannot set different ringtone for each SIM
Baseband version not displayed in Settings

FAQ/KNOWN ISSUES
Q. Can I upgrade from CM11 to CM12?
A. This is not recommended as this is an highly alpha and you have to wipe everything to upgrade with no problems from CM11 to CM12
Q. What recovery does this ROM support?
A. You must use a SELINUX enabled recovery from me or the one from corsicanu's recovery thread.
Q. Which GAPPS package should i install?
A. I suggest for good performance on your fame to install the Micro or Nano gapps package.
Q. Does it fully work?
A. No it's still an alpha and it will probably never work 100% as the Fame has 4.1.2 binaries it needs all kinds of patches to work properly and I don't have the phone itself to test stuff.
Q. When will the next build be released?
A. I can't answer your question as I also have my own private life.

Yes I know, I will fix it in the next version. Temporary fix, esdit the build.prop to dpi 160
This is just a highly alpha lollipop build. I will rebase my next build on my cm11 sourcecode. And I will collect patches needed for cm12 and fix some issues. In post #2 I have noted what will be probably fixed in the next build
thanks for your work, I hope the bugs are resolved in the next version, luck.

Yeah I will also spend probably tomorrow sometime to disband my cm12 devicetree which I used? Happily I didn't uploaded it to github as it was just yeah... I will make a new cm12 devicetree tomorrow based on the cm11 devicetree which we have now atm. Supporting multiple devices sucks when applying patches
I don't know why the rom becomes slower, I only know that lollipop isn't perfect yet in Memory management. Waiting for 5.1 I rather prefer kitkat at the moment. Still can't get used to the statusbar etc really..

This ROM is based on CAF release LA.BF.1.1.3-00110-8x74.0, with some little modification to some components to make it build. The kernel is based on CM12.1. You can check the kernel source on my GitHub. Links will be posted later.
Nearly all basic feature should be working: 4G data, 4G->3G fallback on calls, SMS, camera/camcorder, BT, WiFi, MTP, 4K recording, HW decoding etc.
kexec hardboot is supported.

1. Stock camera doesn't work well. Here is a list of comparison:
Feature - Working on Stock camera - OppoCamera port - CameraNextMod?
Switching front/back cam - No - Yes - Yes
Camcorder <=1080p - No - Yes - Yes
4K Recording - No - No - Yes
Click to collapse
(maybe I should get a monospace font in Firefox)
2. Battery drains... a little faster? (Just a little)
3. The ROM comes with ancient Launcher2. Launcher3 is not included. I will post this as an attachment. Launcher3 has been added since 20151018
4. Picture in apps are sometimes automatically zoomed out (and distorted) and can not be zoomed in. Is this a common problem among AOSP-based Marshmallow ROMs? I tried AOSP and CAF sources, and they both have the same issue. Need to change DPI via build.prop
5. Security related: SELinux is disabledpermissive in 20151018. HW Crypto is not working. Software-based credentials storage.
6. No gestures (DT2W etc) Workaround available in Q&A
7. Kernel panics/reboots on switching adb on & off.
8. WiFi AP still runs on 2.4G even when 5G is selected.
If you find more issues, feel free to post here. However, I may not be able to solve them since schoolwork is so heavy... And this ROM may not be updated regularly.

Q&A:
1. Kernel Compatibility
The kernel of this ROM is based on CM12.1, but not exactly the same. You can not use kernels built for CM12.1 with this ROM. Marshmallow requires new features like updated SELinux, uid_cputime, etc, but CM12.1 source does not contain these features. You can take a look at commits and it will be clear.
Click to collapse
2. Recovery Compatibility
I am using TWRP 2.8.7.0 with MultiROM support (TWRP_multirom_bacon_20150803-00.img from MultiROM thread). If you can not get the ROM installed properly, please try updating your recovery.

3. Rooting
Since this is a experimental build, I have turned off SELinux completely. SELinux is permissive. Just flash SuperSU 2.50 zip in the recovery and it will be fine.
Click to collapse
4. F2FS Support
The kernel has F2FS driver builtin and corresponding entries in fstab file (as CM does). Vold has F2FS files as well, so you can give it a try. But I can not guarantee that it will work flawlessly.
EDIT: Some people tested and reported it not working. Make a backup before you try.

5. GApps
I'm using DeltaGapps with SetupWizard removed (yes it is the one that keeps force closing. you can disable that via adb as well). I think the lack of permissions(appops_whitelist.xml I guess) caused this failure. After allowing every permission required by Google apps and adding the account manually, Sync and Store works as expected. Now on Tap seems broken. Maps is working, and gets a lock in secs..
There are some other GApps package links in the first few pages. Some people say Now on Tap works with them, you can have a try.

6. Disabling HW Keys and Enabling Softkeys - The Easy Way

If you are comfortable with softkeys, goto 6.
If you are not, goto 3 and take a look at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63313126&postcount=115double tap the home key.

8. LCD Density
Code:
wm density 440 # if you want 440
wm density reset # self-explanatory
Above will lead to corrupted pics.
Change
Code:
ro.sf.lcd_density=480
to
Code:
ro.sf.lcd_density=VALUE_YOU_WANT
(Note: I did this before installing GApps, not sure if this is related to Google Now Launcher FCs)

9. DT2W Workaround
Code:
echo 1 > /proc/touchpanel/double_tap_enable # do this on every boot
Then add this line to /system/usr/keylayout/Generic.kl:

DT2W has been added into settings since 20151027.

Finally the sweet taste of marshmallow on the OnePlus One!
Great work ! ^_^
Battery drains faster?
Guess I'll wait a little bit longer, as it's the main reason I wanna switch to M.
Kernel dilemma
If the kernel on it is based on cm 12.1 .. Can we flash any other kernels that work with CM 12.1? It should work or atleast i hope so! But yeah I'll try and get back!
Cheers! Keep up the good work!
Do we need to flash gapps & supersu?
Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
will it work with F2FS ? separate build would be helpful, if its not tested i will test it

-ALL cm13.0 Features
-Check 3# and 4# post for screen shot of the features...
This ROM has safetynet verification Support of course when ROOT is disabled:
I develop a simple app to disable and enable SU at will, after disabling SU the user can pass safety net verification without having to remove SU.
I call it iSu XDA thread Click here
It works today only with CM 13 building SU binary it is present in almost all CM Base ROM.
Warning! There is a small implementation that need to be done to the kernel to have this working 100% the app will work on any device running CM base ROM but may loose ROOT support after a reboot if running without my kernel MOD.

I port this help from my 5.x.x thread some things here may not be the same, I will update this with time
Etc App.
Motorola Apps:
I have included on the ROM the motorola-specific play store props and permissions allowing the user to install Moto apps via Playstore…
here the list:
Be Aware some app will not work
I have not tested Gallery because it conflict with theme app (please use another gallery app like QuickPick It gets integrated by camera app just like the default gallery.
Moto email, it install but doesn't let use the app.
Moto voice, it just not install.
All the rest available Moto app seems to be working.
Be aware I will try to fix this app on the future but i don't give any prediction of when, this is not my priority this is a CyanogemMod base ROM not a Motorola or google , any user can use google and search a way to fix this problem, if any one do let me know I will check and made the change so every one can have all available apps working.
My personal Wallpaper folder, to personalized you ROM it contains all most 1000 pics.
BLOATWARE remove List-Script for all Quark
Check my BLOATWARE remove thread to know what app is safe to remove from custom ROM and or stock, for custo I have made a script.

Help:
Device specific bugs:
Below is more a general help then a device bugs because most users will not ever be notice any of this problem reported, so if encounter any problem try to read it all before reporting, if find any new bug or solution please report.
CM12.1/13 Bugs:
- This may have the same bug of CM12.1 or CM13.0 because this share a lot of source's, (if any one found a CM bug please report so i can check, because I may not keep track of reports there), some bugs of CM I have already fix but they may not be fix on CM, so do not expect to find every bug here, and if you are in doubt if one particular bug exist here, ask me I will check...
USB otg and MTP
USB otg and MTP change on Marshmallow if you are new at this please read before post.
After connect to your pc a notification will appear pull down the notification click on it and chose MTP
USB Otg can be read by any file app, but you must find it... It new location is in the root of the device in /mnt/media_rw
My advice is just to make a desktop shortcut from es file explorer to that folder... this way you can put that on a folder or any place of the desktop of the device and access quickly when is need.
Set selinux to permissive
Selinux is the police of the android it will block any service that is not know or allow (of course if the service/app has super su access it will not occur but some times do)
So by default it comes enable (enforcing), if you have a problem with some app service you may try set it to permissive to test.
Selinux can be change via kernel auditor plugin, or via settings>configurations>Miscellaneous.
Led:
-LPThemer Xposed module if enable the option (Enable Notification text color) under Status bar, the led doesn't work. May exist other modules or app that conflict with led notification...
DPI change
- The device will auto reboot when change the DPI that is not a bug.
Radio image
TWRP Flash zip of Moto SOAK XT1225 Radio images.
CM dev share all stock Radio image on CM thread but those need to be flash via bootloader.
GPS OR RADIO related problem:
Changing the ROM may cause GPS lock problem..
To solve is necessary to erase the radio status, that can be achieved via this zip "Clean_modem_status.zip" flash it via TWRP no wipe is need.
If find any problem related lost signal after, re-try the flash of "Clean_modem_status.zip", if the problem persist, flash latest radio.img version fia fastboot (aka via bootloader)
Code:
mfastboot flash radio radio.img
find the radio.img inside the stock ROM xml.zip, some xml.zip and fastboot for windows can be found here (click here)
Gestures/Ambient display:
- Pulse notifications, Wave and Pick-up, work very well, but is necessary to turn it off and on after 1° installation of RR, go to settings>Gestures> un-check and check to enable.
Random FC
- If encounter any FC, before make a report, try to clear data of the FC app, if that doesn't work, try to uninstall/install the app, and if that doesn't help try a clean install of the ROM if you didn't clean install the last update the ROM.
This is old and doesnot happens anymore on RR but I leave for the purpose of consulting.
On screen Navigation bar:
- After first boot you may see on screen navigation buttons, to remove it Settings>configurations>Buttons> un-check Navigation bar buttons....
Web Whatsapp CM bug Fix by CM dev.
Web Whatsapp works but if you try to loging the first time the image may be interlaced, that doesn't block you from loging, just place the device on the front of the screen at the same height of the QR and it will login.
Is possible to set the DPI to 480 ant this bug will not occur at that DPI.
Video apps Netflix HBO etc.
I'm particularly don't have this bug have teste youtube and netflix is all good, but was reported that this apps may not work for one user, the the fix is change a build.prop line:
persist.hwc.mdpcomp.enable
# GLES doesn't support secure display, to allow google play movies netflix
# and other apps that require a secure display we need to enable this
# but this cause screen fragments and glitch , this is a odd bug may not occur always, so is disabled by default
# to enable this change the false to true on the below line in the build.prop and to prevent screen bugs enable
# Disable HW overlays on developer options to not have glitch on the screen
persist.hwc.mdpcomp.enable=false
Waze motogeogence bug
If you use Waze GPS Social, Map... to not have problems is need to freeze a app before run the Waze app, the app to freeze is, MotGeoFenceSvc app or com.motorola.motogeogencesvc 1.0.1 (it has two names) in setting app you can't disable this app, to do that is need to use a root app like titanium backup or similar, or you can just remove the apk folder using a root browser remove the folder system/app/MotGeoFenceSvc.

"Can i dirty flash this rom ?"
Please, read the second post and the thread
Keep in mind, i do not have this device on my side.
OnePlus has stopped offer the OnePlus3T to the devs.
nevax one (Mirror 1) | AFH (Mirror 2)
Don't forget to put md5 file in the same directory of the the rom zip.
Like that TWRP will chack the integrety of the rom.

What is the Google Dialer issues?
For now Google Dialer + Contacts still at his experimental state.
IMPORTANT: If you are perfoming a dirty flash with Google Dialer and your previous dialer was OnePlus Dialer, you will get issues with databases (force close, unable to access to some settings)!
Same if your previous was Google Dialer and want OnePlus dialer, do not mix different dialer.
So if you wan to switch your dialer, clean flash.

Can i dirty flash this rom ?
Yes you can, but you need to do a wipe system, cache and dalvik.
Obviously, if you can make a clean flash do it, it's better.
Don't dirty flash if your previous rom was not FreedomOS or OxygenOS.
I got a bootloop caused by a incompatible/bad layer.
Boot into TWRP.
Go to Mount.
Select System.
Return to Home.
Go to Advanced.
Go to file manager.
Go to /system/vendor/overlay/ and remove the bad overlay apk.
Where is my SwiftKey?
Swiftkey icon is hidden with the OnePlus launcher,
Go to 'Settings > Language & input > Actual keyboard > Select keyboard'.
My installation is stuck at XX%.
Wait one or two minutes and touch two times at the bottom right of your screen.
The installation will end correctly.
If you got nothing, reflash the rom.
I'm stuck on boot logo after flashing stock kernel by myself
Flash SuperSU with unpatched kernel (provided in the zip file) or re-flash the rom with SuperSU.
I have unselected SuperSU in the aroma and now i want it.
Reflash the rom or flash the unpatched stock kernel available in AFH, and flash the latest SuperSU zip.
Tips :
For reducing the battery usage, i recommend to disable Viper4Android for the phone speaker for everyday usage.
The economy will minimal but we don't need an audio treatment for a simple *ding* notification.
Join the beta team !
We use Slack, just give me your email address in PM and i will send you an invitation to join the team.
Tell me if you have a linux system for building the rom, any virtual machine will do the job.

Wow. Wasn't expecting this !!!
Is this a unified rom with the OP3 or a separate build ?
Stupid question.. if on 3.5.4 can I flash this or do I need to upgrade to 4.01 first?

FreedomOS allows you to debloat your ROM smartly.
Everything is customisable, you can install the most minimalistic rom, like a fully modded rom.
So basically, it install the untouched stock rom and install and remove all the functionality you have selected in the aroma.

F.A.Q
How to pass SafetyNet?
- Follow the aroma installer, after that make sure to enable "Magisk Hide" in Magisk settings.
I can't pass wifi selection in SetupWizard
Sometime for a strange reason, the Google WebView provider isn't selected by the system. So try to reeboot else reflash the rom with Google Chrome.
Unable to mount /system partition
Boot into fastboot mode and type this command through adb:
Code:
fastboot format system
Magisk or SuperSU
Both are good to go, but depends of your need.
I have made a small comparaison, of course it does not contains all the criteria (different point of views are welcomed).
SuperSU:
A standard, compatible with almost all "rooted apps"
Break SafetyNet
Can increase battery drain
Magisk :
Include modules support (FOS include patched module for arise)
100% Systemless, do not break safetynet
Young project, some apps are not compatible
Which recovery should i use?
For now i can't recommand any stable twrp build, please follow the appropriate twrp thread for that

I'm getting an signal 11 Error at the end of the aroma installer
You have ticked to rebvoot your device at the end of the installer, and it just fail.
This is not a problem, just reboot it into twrp.
Can i dirty flash this rom ?
- You can dirty flash if u're using my previous version, but if anything wrong, a clean flash before reporting is a must.

Well, the fact is, that we a few people for a ton of roms to test, so it couldn't be possible to create a thread for each and every rom... So we made the unified tread, where we can talk about everything regarding roms, mods, how-to flashing it, etc...
Not difficult to understand

Latest recovery (59) from him, clean flash with magisk and i can't even reach the bootanimation, it boots me back to TWRP.
EDIT: Clean flash with SuperSU working, these rumors about Magisk isn't compatible with decryption are true.

This is why i have leave this forum.
Unreadable and it's a real mess, especially for the new users (still my point of view).
Installed and seems to be running nice and smoothly! Great job dev!
@NevaX1 thank you for your great rom, i have test all roms for OnePlus 5 (even HydrogenOS lol) and your rom seem be the most custom/advanced rom with xXx. I will test and feedback soon
PS:Great idea to have remove encryption by default
PS2: Why you purpose old version for Magisk & SuperSU, it's a mistake in the presentation?
