I want to create a flashable zip file for the G4, so I wanted to know if I need to extracted the boot/modem partition (for the Genesis G4 rom) with jest extracting the .kdz file and then just removing the .bin extension?
I'm pretty new to creating zip files so i just wanted to be sure that removing the extension from the bin file is the correct way to get the boot/modem files.

I tried with WinRAR and it works. You just need to do right click on the exe file and extract it into particular folder on your drive.

I read somewhere that Google has changed the system used for the standard update zip file.
Therefore you have to convert some .dat files to .img files and .img files to a standard readable folder.
This I understand, however how do I reverse the process above to get back to the .dat file and get a lolipop compatible flashable zip?
would anyone please share their System\Apps folder. I tried downloading the whole ROM package but its a .dat file. I also managed to convert into an image file but did not succeed.
You need to convert .dat file first to .ext4 see HERE and then you have to use ext4_unpacker_exe.zip to extract the apps which you need

I'm following a tutorial to convert the LG G2 G4 ZIP KDZ.
All goes well until rename the extracted files DZ.
G4 see that there are more such files: 2 cust_xxx.bin files, arvhivos that should not be in the G2 (such as raw, which I understand are unique G4).
Can anyone tell me that files have to stay?
I have also seen coming a template in zip, where to put the files. That template is a G2 and imagine the META INF included when the zip is worth. As I prepare one if worth?

Hi all,
I needed original Build.prop, Boot and stock recovery from my RUU package. I successfully extracted the zip file from .exe file. But I found many zip files (about 25 zip files) in the rom.zip and I couldn't extract any of those 25 zip files. Is there any way to un-zip those files to get stock files to use later?
