When do you think will be available the OTA? In the bug fix there will be also the lockscreen wallpaper issue?

updated via flash tool, unticked userdata and recovery as i had CWM, so i wouldnt lose anything........ upon reboot, lost root and xposed. reinstalled root access was as simple as rerunning SuperSu, however recovery had failed. shut down phone, held vol up and power, got the 3 choice menu, selected recovery, and got the disected droid in the middle of the screen. reflashed phone. clicked recovery this time, also this time no root, just recovery attempt to check. still failed.
i simply just reflashed the p8000 recovery file that contained CWM, rebooted phone, re rooted, rebooted to recovery successfully, then reinstalled Xposed. all good.
now we will see if this firmware fixes the issues i was having, besides the point that i live in the States and the signal as far as using this as a phone is horrible.

Just that in new update nothing more? All B.S

I installed this new rom but when the phone reboot, there is no sim cards. The 2 sim slot are not recognized.
Back to older ROM (25072015)

Can't flash, the flash tool tell me incorrect version header.

Same issue here with no sim, That rom kills the baseband, others have no problem at all, there seems to be different Baseband version I guess? Had to go back to an earlier version.

You have only to rewrite the IMEI...
Copy AND paste from Elephone forum:
Make with telephone:
* # * # 3646633 # * # *
Click on "CONNECTIVITY"
Click on "CDS INFORMATION"
click on "RADIO INFORMATION"
then to "HONE 1" for the 1.te IMEI and write in:The IMEI is under the battery.
AT+ EGMR=1,7,"00000000000" ("zeros" with your own IMEI No. Replace the) also from the OLD phone.
If you have the by, the whole again for the 2.te IMEI
"HONE 2" go for the 2.te IMEI and write in:
AT+ EGMR=1,10,"0000000000" ("zeros" with your own IMEI No. Replace the) also from the OLD phone.

Hi,
Thank's for your reply. The problem is with this ROM the 2 Sim Slot are not recognized at all after the reboot (No Sim Card in the menu). When I use this method to write the IMEI, there is a message "Fail to send the IMEI". Because the sim slot doesn't exist for the engineering software.
This solution is okay if the slot a re recognized and the imei are accidently deleted and we can restore them bay this method.

@Elephone1 any news on P8000 US version? You really messed up a lot of people orders by making 2 versions. I cannot even return the p8000 because the seller is being very rude.Would appreciate a reply.

Jelly Bean and IMEI

Hello,
After installing bigxies ota jelly bean, I love it everything runs fine, I got a new nexus today and installed everything on that aswell, I was having some screen issues and had to call samsung and i went to give them my IMEI from my phone and it was not a valid IMEI, totally different from the one on the box, which was the correct one, I didn't bother looking when I was stock, but can anyone else attest to this? that something goes wonky with what google displays as the IMEI number in these pre jellybean roms we have?
FYI the IMEI should start with a 35
My IMEI never changed.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Just checked mine, same IMEI on the settings screen and on the back of the phone.

Hmmm.. very weird, backing up and than going to load stock everything. She also noted that it read my purchase date was not the day i purchased and in face it was last month, something seems fishy.
I just used Nexus toolkit to go back to factory stock rom, it now has the correct IMEI number.. It just dawned on me what could have been the problem. This was a nandroid from my original galaxy nexus, so by restoring it to my new galaxy nexus, maybe that messed some things up? Either way, looks like i will be starting from scratch and not be restoring from that nandroid.

Using the special unlock method for Docomo phones, quite often users would get invalid IMEIs.

thanks much, going to try this:
If you have generic IMEI 0049... simply execute the following actions:
1. switch GN to airplane mode
2. del 2 files nv_data.bin + nv_data.bin.md5 from /data/radio/
3. copy 1 file nv_data.bin from /factory/ to /data/radio/
4. change permission & owner execute 2 commands:
Code:
chmod 700 /factory/nv_data.bin
chown radio.radio /factory/nv_data.bin
chmod 700 /data/radio/nv_data.bin
chown radio.radio /data/radio/nv_data.bin
5. reboot phone & switch off airplane mode.
6. check imei by pressing *#06# in dialpad.
Thats all.
same imei for me.
deleted
I just had a moment of panic... read the OP's post, immediately grabbed my phone and the Nexus box on the floor next to my PC and compared IMEI's.
When I saw that they were different, I started to panic.
... when I realized that the box that I had picked up was actually from my long ago broken Nexus S, I had myself a good laugh.
No IMEI issues here.
Whoever unlocked your phone... did it wrong.
They didn't fix up the copy in the efs partition properly (ie. they didn't update the md5), thus when you deleted the one in /factory (likely when you factory reset in CWM), it fell back to the efs which was invalid.

Well I bought my phone unlocked already fromm google, does that mean google unlocked it wrong? lol.. Im sure I did something along the process, like I said using a nandroid from a different nexus to restore on this nexus maybe? anywho, I did the fix I mentioned some posts back and it works fine. Also worked fine when I did a fresh install of JB as opposed to restoring this particular nandroid. my IMEI was good from the start only with this particular one was it wrong.
G'day - I have a similar IMEI problem.
I have a gnex from Vodafone Australia. I have rung them 6x on separate occasions to enquire about my IMEI unlock code, so I can use the phone with another carrier. The IMEI unlock code does not work (it says it is invalid).
What am I supposed to do now?
-Vodafone suggested I post Ph back to them and it could take several weeks. (ridiculous!)
I am using 4.2.2, rooted, with latest Franco kernel.
Ps - I have gone between ice cream sandwich and jelly bean a few times using a combo of OTAs, WUGs nexus toolkit, and ODIN. (I don't know if that has something to do with it).
Also I have read about a possible fix called **** DoCoMo v3, but I am not confident using it as it's thread is full of people who have ended up with phones that do not connect to any network. The instructions aren't very clear, however, and I'm not sure if I should try it (and if so whether it will work with rooted 4.2.2, or whether I should revert to 4.0.4?)
Cheers

Man, either try the DoCoMo v3 or don't try it, no one can take that risk for you. Either way, create your own thread or post in the DoCoMo thread, don't necrobump threads (this one is almost a year old), especially since they are not the same issue. Other people here lost their IMEI, you want to sim unlock.

Boot a custom recovery and remount /factory rw. Should work then, as well as it will be safer than doing it from Android (airplane more and all). Create a new thread please if you still need to.
Reported this thread for closing.
a manta wrote this.
Problem solved safely in under 30 secs with an inexpensive app on the Play store called GalaxySimUnlock.
Has unlocked the IMEI, without changing it, and has survived multiple custom roms, and Sims from a variety of carrier's.
I suggest anyone curious about it, read other Play store comments for your phone make. The dev is responsive too if you have questions.
Def worth the buck he charges!

Hello,
Unfortunately, I'm having the same problem and have been unsuccessful at finding the right forum . After unrooting my Galaxy SGH-T999, I lost service "no service." I also have the circle with the line crossing it, only WiFi is working; Baseband version, Network, Mobile network type, as well as the IMEI appear as unkown. Please help me or re direct me with the link, I have tried everything and nothing.
It's actually not in our section. But with a simple Google search:

Looks like I'll be adding this to the FAQ.
More help please
Thanks for the quick response; however, what is it that I need to do to get back service. Make a backup, restore, or inject imei? Also, i'm having trouble understanding the thread. Is it to much to ask for to give me a little guidance of what exactly is it that I have to do. I'll appreciated it a lot.

I'd ask about what you don't understand in the thread about restoring IMEI.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Well, to be honest I don't know where to even start.
1. I downloaded QPST program
2. AT&T and TMO Phones (or any variant thereof)... I don't know if this applies to my process.
Option1:Using the stock dialer dial *#7284#.... When I do that my phone says: Mobile network not available.
Option 2: Stock ROM w/ unsecured kernal flash this file by drothenberger and geek HERE!... lost there
Install QuickShortcutMaker... don't know where from
Open it and type IOT in the search box... don't know what that is.
Click on the entry that says IOTHiddenMenu / IOTHiddenMenu / com.android.hiddenmenu/com.android.hiddenmenu.IOTHiddenMenu
Click OK..... ???
3. The Following Steps Applies to all phones!
Put phone into RMNET + DM + MODEM mode... what do those abbreviation mean?
IMEI Injection:
If you have lost your IMEI and did not have a backup made this is how PureMotive and I were able to get his IMEI restored.
Open RF NV Item Manager from the bin folder found in Program Files folder/Qualcomm/QPST (RF NV Manager is no longer accessible from the
(open RF and NV?)
start menu or from inside QPST Configuration).
Click on Setting menu in RF NV Item Manager and select Comport.
Select your phone from the list of ports and click ok.
Go to File menu and select Read From Phone.
You will get a list of NV items and their values from your phone.
Look for item NV_UE_IMEI_I it will be item number 550 you can do a search for it using the search.
I'm so upset, disappointed, and mad at myself. I just bought this phone and I already broke it. I been trying to fix it all day and no luck. Please if anyone could make this pain for me. I don't understand the abbreviations or where it is that I need to start.
Thank you

If you're competent enough to root and flash a ROM, you're competent enough to follow Peoplearmy's guide to restoring your 4G. If not, then you you need to go back use Triangle Away to get rid of the flash counter and then Odin back to a factory TouchWiz ROM to erase your evidence of tampering with the phone.
Follow the guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1801997. Just remember since people have been making this mistake, you're not done when you inject your IMEI.
-IMEI injection
-Backup
-Restore
Ok well don, I followed the entire guide, everything on post #3, and am still only getting 2g. Hey guys I bought my sg3 about 3 months ago from a friend who had cynogen mod on the phone and it worked fine but I had cynogen mod on auto update and now my imei shows as 0 via *#06# and I cant call or text etc. Unfortunately I do not have a backup from when the imei worked because I didnt expect it to do this. So far Ive removed cynogen mod and reset it to stock firmware but im having the same issue any suggestions?

Your baseband is probably corrupted. You may try reflashing a stock modem/baseband via recovery. I had a similar problem once, although I was on stock ROM, and re-flashing the modem zip worked.
I, however, tread very carefully here as I am aware the forum is wary about discussions relating to IMEI.

You can look up peoplearmy's method (google it). You will not find help on how to fix IMEI on XDA. I had my IMEI wiped out a while back after flashing a bad rom. I had to get it put back, and then had to get LTE back.

Everything looks OK as your baseband version would likely read 'unknown' if it's bad. You may, however, still try re-flashing the modem via the method posted in the attached thread ... Please proceed at your own peril as I offer no guarantee that this will work or will not result in damaged phones,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1831898
Please note you will need custom recovery (e.g. CWM or TWRP). You will find instructions for installing custom recovery at the bottom of the thread. If this doesn't work, then you may try doing a hard wipe from recovery and reinstalling everything including system ROM, modem and kernel.
Hope it works out for you.
Simple fix is to reinject imei which located behind the battery.. But sometimes for some reason if you do this, you'll stuck with edge network, can be fix though but you gotta go back to stock in order to do so

you will have to google peoplearmy imei lte and find the tutorial on how to restore imei and get LTE back.
You will not be able to find the thread on XDA because XDA deleted it sometime ago. I was like you and lost my imei. Once I re-injected it using a tutorial on XDA, I was stuck on edge. Then I finally found peoplearmy's tutorial, downloaded the programs and followed the steps to get LTE back. I got it back and haven't lost it since.

I had that happen to me with a 0 on my phone and was able to get it back I had no backup either what I did is go on the NV Data restore or NV writer thread and downloaded the NV writer and put myself back on stock ...I went thru a few pages in the post and someone had a file where you could put your IMEI into that file maybe it was set up thru notepad but you could fill in the zeros with your IMEI and name it I think a txt.file after then open the NV writer and instead of backing it up cause you can't just restore that file where you fill in you're IMEI and it went right back into my phone. There also a video on that page how to do it. You just need basically that file to put your IMEI back in. I might still have it if not keep going thru the post took find it. There a picture of what it looks like to restore if you list it but every time I tried to open that link to restore it wouldn't let me. Hope it wasn't to confusing but it's basically a white box with a bunch of zeros and replace the zeros with your IMEI and save it as atxt. File I believe and just restore it as shown in the video for backing it up but just restore instead it does work cause I didn't have an IMEI on my phone it just had a zero

in the same post he have mentioned how to recover lost imei/efs please read
How to recover lost IMEI that happens with downgrading ROM
If you have lost IMEI just by downgrading (as said by above by flashing older ROM), still you can recover IMEI without having EFS backup.
-Again upgrade ROM will restore IMEI OR
-Flash latest Modem. You can find it here.. You can download MG1 modem and flash using PC Odin with 'Phone' tab instead of PDA.
Remember above said works only if IMEI is corrupted by downgrading ROM only, if it was corrupted by other things, this won't be helpful.
Also Read This, if you have issue restoring EFS OR device stuck to factory mod.
Hope this will find helpful to all newbies regarding question about EFS and IMEI problem. I have posted this to general section so newbie can post to it if they have any queries.

[Fixed] Repair IMEI and fix deleted EFS folder for Note10+ N975F

Hi bros
First of all I am not a developer, the EFS folder of my Note10+ was deleted by mistake and I lost my IMEI numbers, after a lot of concern, researches and tests I fixed my Note10+ and I want to share my very hard and bad experience maybe someone will need it, so I will not be able to assist you or answer any technical questions and I am not responsible if your device is damaged, If my article violates the forum's terms and conditions, please admins accept my apologies, I want only to help people.
This guide ONLY to repair the ORIGINAL Samsung Note10+ N975F using the ORIGINAL IMEI NUMBERS, the tool not support changing the IMEI.
Your Note10+ must/will be rooted and you will lose your warranty and some Samsung services.
This is how I fixed my Note10+:
1- I found a repair tool which support N975F and will not need a box, the tool called ChimeraTool.
2- Bootloader must be unlocked which in my case was already because I lost the EFS folder while rooting the device.
3- Enable USB debugging from the developers options, from your PC open ChimeraTool and connect your Note10+.
4- Repair your IMEI from ChimeraTool ----> Repair -----> Repair and type your IMEI numbers. (here you will see your IMEI numbers in "About Phone" but you can't make calls, you need to install some certificates)
5- Root your Note10+ using this guide by @dr.ketan https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-10+/how-to/guide-how-to-root-note-10-t3960031
6- Go back to ChimeraTool ----> Repair -----> Patch certificates.
Enjoy
Please Note:
1- Read the root guide carefully, specially:
(Powering up normally) → (System with NO Magisk)
(OEM Recovery Key Combo) → (Splash screen) → (Release all buttons) → (System with Magisk)
(OEM Recovery Key Combo) → (Splash screen) → (Keep pressing volume up) → (Actual recovery)
2- The fix take from me 2 tries, first try and after I finished fixing the problem and started to install my apps to start using my Note10+, I restart the phone but it could't boot the system, but the second try, now I used the phone for 3 days and everything gos smooth like any normal Note10+
3- If you do a hard reset or install a new firmware using Odin you will lose the IMEI again lose the certificates so you will not able to make calls, but you will able to see IMEI numbers in the "About Phone"
3- You can do a factory reset without losing the IMEI or certificates but If you do a factory reset from settings, you must click volume up + power buttons as soon as the phone restarted to finish the factory reset. (it looks like the system can't enter the recovery automatically because of the root).
4- If you flash a rom using Odin you will lose the certificates and you will not able to make calls but you will able to see the IMEI numbers in "About Phone", you will need to repatch certificates using ChimeraTool.
Best Regards
Update 30.11.2019:
The phone still working perfectly, I unrooted my Note10+ by uninstalled Magisk from Magisk manager, Norton antivirus telling me No risks found in my system, the phone is not rooted and no untrusted certificates ...etc, in Software update the phone telling me I have the latest version (In similar case the Note 9 was telling me my phone has a custom ROM and can't get updates) so I hope I will get official update in the future for my Note 10+.

I could't understand you 100%, for me the fix cost me only 11.90€ (the 3 days start license), I never needed any other purchasing, I used Odin to flash the ROM and Magisk-Patch.tar, not need any other tools or purchasing.

I am working on installing the Factory Binary to fix the problem for ever, please keep eye on https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-10+/help/n975f-restarting-flashing-combination-t4063557

Hi, I managed to resolve by flashing the latest firmware version downloaded from SAMMOBILE. From what I understand the problem is if you install a newer bootloader and then when I was inserting a custom ROM I did a downgrade. which caused the loss of my IMEI and the baseband version. I hope to be helpful. Greetings. I was about to pay Chimera Tool
I'm having trouble with writing my IMEI into a g970F .. Chimera goes to rewrite procedure gets to the current IMEI number write then get "repair IMEI failed" anyone else having similar issues .I'm new to Chimera and I'm sure it's something easy n obvious I'm missing ... Cheers all n stay safe
Is Chimera starter license 12€ still. Cannot find thaf option on chimera’s website. Can anyone please help ?
This Page have been helpful. Thanks to all people. One question i have is if you want to update firmware later once new version comes out, we can use magisk to patch the new firmware AP file and flash it via odin. Do we need to patch certificate again ?

Unfortunately that 13$ Chimera license isn't available anymore. Samsung pro license now starting at 69€.
