How come? Ion is a US exclusive and it isn't released yet
i do believe we will get xperia S soon(before march 2nd or 3rd week)............when on sony website in the home page it states xperia S to be coming soon and in product page xperia S is missing............this might be some webpage related issue
update:i spoke to sony mobile india,they said it will be available soon and before the end of Q1.... probably by the end of march 2nd week and they also mentioned xperia s product page for india will also be added soon and it will be available under phones section

I'm from pune and i spoke to the official from SONY in pune and he said it will be a bit delay to arrive in INDIA . He said will be coming in APRIL 1st week. As like you i'm very eager to buy this phone hope it comes early and we have this masterpiece right in our hands........

@sagar_ved The price of this awesome piece in india is approx. Rs.31000 not yet confirmed maybe less also.
Also to mention when i spoke to the SONY representative, he told me that they are trying to make sure we get all the accessories especially the HDMI cable which is missing in most of the unboxing videos. As like all i'm also concerned about the battery he assured that SONY is coming up with some new apps that will boost battery life i think its just a marketing skill maybe. So keep ur fingers crossed
Right now i'm just watching the videos of Xperia S on youtube the greek review on youtube is great if have time then watch it how the xperia s is blazing fast....CHEERS

There is one listing in Ebay but it's too costly since they are exporting from US. It's about 39K http://www.ebay.in/itm/Sony-XPERIA-...27386?pt=IN_Mobile_Phones&hash=item1c246d4dba. If they delays to launch I might change my mind and go for One X since it's world wide release on April 5th prices would somewhat the same.

I think that the One X is going to be more expensive, maybe One S will be more in the range or a little lower than Xperia S.

And today he told me its going to come on15th march and pricing is 32000rs
But he said that its gonna come by the name nozomi
I was a bit shocked hearing this!!

does anyone know when the Gold Version will be released? Especially the EU Version
No info yet. I was in the market for a gold one but I'm not willing to wait. White OPO was never released in Europe, so who knows if the gold one will ever be available here.
Plus there is the possibility that they will market is as a special edition with a higher price tag. So just pull the trigger and order a grey one

I'm a bit surprised that this is only August patch level, not October. I'm also mildly concerned that there still is no known Nougat soak test for the Z Play.

Considering the battery life, i think i can live without Nougat (expect perhaps for the Multi Window)

I got my patch yesterday and was also surprised in was only August - but we've been promised the Nougat update for this quarter, so I'm fully expecting it within the next four weeks.
Lenovo released Nougat for the Moto Z around Thanksgiving, I guess we'll have our Nougat around Christmas ^^

No "port" is required, 16gb is 16gb & 500gb is 500gb nothing is different as far as "gen 1" & "gen 2" software is concerned because there is no "gen 1 & 2" it's a simple refresh like Sony & Microsoft do for their gaming consoles

Thus why I run it the 'Slim' the onlything new 'bout it is the removed features... (i.e. the IR Port, MicroSD Slot, and WiFi Direct).
That said, the Shield (Slim) *cough* 2, will officially go on sale on Monday. At which time nVIDIA is rumored to release the Updates for both the new, and current line of Shield TVs. So just be patient, Monday is only another Three Days from now.
Just a friendly fyi: some pre-orders have already been shipped out, mine is scheduled for delivery tomorrow, and that was standard shipping speed
Also the nougat update at the moment is strictly for shield slim

Again just a friendly FYI The Update for everyone else will land on Monday the 16th of January 2016....
Newegg shipped mine on the 12th, it landed on my door step 11am the next day

I updated to A1 and things seem to be working fine. But I would want to update to A5 since the current mobile network quality is terrible compared to my Oneplus 5T, same SIMs (Optus and Telstra). Interesting that we didn't have Aus specific update before. Do you think that the process of updating A1 to A5 would be the same as from 037 to A1? I am rooted and don't want to lose data.
Ah, this is interesting, I did a factory reset and updated using the A1 build yesterday, not knowing that there was going to be an A5 Australian version!
Interestingly, since updating to the A1 version, I've definitely experienced my Telstra 5G signal being noticeably worse than before updating
Looking forward to A5 now!

I just sideloaded the A5 build over A1 using the factory image (modified flash-all.bat to not wipe data and disable verity and verification) and rooted again the usual way. Went without issue.

Great, new to ADB and all things pixel coming from Note. So I have root (only after bricking and fixing lol) but wondering if you can point in the direction where I might get some detailed instructions to do what you did, I think I get it but not 100% sure and with my track record it would end in tears. TIA.
