wlan / bluetooth issues - Elephone P8000

I'm running newest firmware version, but I think at least the wlan problem was present earlier.
When I leave home and come back I sometimes can't reconnect to the wlan - the only option seems to be turning on/off wlan in the settings.
I can monitor the same problem with bluetooth - when using my external speaker and leaving the range I can't reconnect sometimes and have to turn off/on bluetooth to re-establish the connection.
Is there someone having the same problems or did i perhaps just messed up rom flashing? Are there chances, that this is fixed in eragon? Can't post this question there cause I have less then 10 posts, yet.
best regards,
lukas

yes i have also big probs with bluetooth , i tried out eragon, stock roms .. bluetooth with headphones is unusable .. just skip play music, play too fast .. its unhearable .. very sad i buy this phone for hear music ..

Eragon 3.0
:good::good::good:
first big thx to skeleton for that great work and the Work. I already donate .
but the bluetooth bug is not resolved now .. Music at Bluetooth is still skipping all the Time .. and not hearable. I hope Oneday it will be fixed
schönes Rom und herzlichen dank !, leider hakt Bluetooth Musikübertragung immernoch .....

I don't use Bluetooth much but I do have the wlan problem, have you tried wifi fixer app - it seems to help a little but not totally. I think we just have to face up to the fact that the p8000 is a substandard phone despite the obviously good build quality.

BIG THX for the new Eragon 5.5 to skeleton
but i have to say Bluetooth music stream still dont work.
the musicstream is still skipping and play in wrong speed.
even with the new added BSPlayer

[Q] Need Help: Bluetooth and Audio Malfunctions

hey guys, I got a serious question but I don't know where to go.
I am using this (Charmeleon Rom v5.0.0) rom on HTC X one originally delivered by the German Telekom.
Now I don't know cause I never used my phone without this rom. (I wanted to get rid of the ugly magenta branding asap )
Now, after running my phone for a while on this awesome rom I encountered some minor issues which I do not what they are related to.
1) Bluetooth connection often drops (link with car) but not every time used
2) Bluetooth audio quality is not present, regardless if using audio playback or doin voice calls. It always sounds totally scratched and stuttered regardless of bluetooth device linked to listen to (tried PC, Ford Audio, Jabra BT Headset)
The bad side is, bluetooth is pretty much unusable to be.
3) When on Carrier Internet (WiFi disabled) often the download or connection seems to get stalled/hung and will not recover redering downloads to idle infitively. They work fine after restarting them manually though.
4) Sometimes background apps (like the SystemMonitor) exit unexpectedly before they get restarted by the services automatically. Weird thing but not a big issue at the moment as it seems to happen to this background process only.
5) Beats audio sometimes shows up sometimes it doesn't (yes, always with packaged headset of course)
Does anyone face similiar issues? Does anyone of you know about this issue? Do you have any suggestions on what I could try to fix these issues?
Do you need a screeny of any system details of my phone?
Some help very appreciated.

[Q] Problem with Bluetooth headphones and YouTube buffering

Does anyone have a problem with constant buffering when playing YouTube videos (especially HD videos) from the YouTube app while having Bluetooth headphones (or speakers) connected?
This problem seems to only occur when I use Bluetooth and wifi together, as this problem does not happen when I use wired headphones or view videos stored on an SD card. But I can stream Spotify audio while using the Bluetooth headphones without any problems. This makes me think that my wifi connection is slowed down when the Bluetooth headphones are connected, and YouTube videos keep buffering because the tablet cannot download the video fast enough. Is my tablet defective or is this a common bug on the Samsung Note 10.1 2014?
I also have problems with YouTube app...even without bluetooth on. I also have this problem with other bluetooth devices, like my bt keyboard and mouse....

Have you ever reset your bluetooth headset or speakers. It happened to me a couple time. Couldn't connect but after reset my bluetooth devices. It connected and work again. Also sometime my bluetooth headset is connecting to my phone and I m trying to connect it to my note 10.1 2014.

It seems there are some definite issues with bluetooth and this tablet and/or Android 4.3. I've noticed that my headphones disconnect from the tablet if no data is being sent to them for a minute or so, which seems to be similar to the common problem of bluetooth keyboards disconnecting fairly quickly. Although this problem isn't as big of a deal with bluetooth headphones, since data is constantly sent to the headphones.

I tried resetting my headphones, restarting the tablet, turning bluetooth and wifi on and off, but the problem still occurs. My headphones connect just fine to the tablet, and I can see in the bluetooth popup on the tablet that my headphones are connected. I can also stream any audio or video that is stored on the tablet without any problems, as well as stream audio to the headphones. The only thing I can't stream is YouTube videos. Also, these headphones work fine with the other devices I tried them on.

Unfortunately this is a known bug in Android. I am no expert and after doing some light research along the web, I am still not sure if the main problem lays on a physical interference between Bluetooth and the 2'4 GHz wifi signal, in software or in a combination of both.
Some video about this issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LbB7H0kk5MU&feature=youtube_gdata_player
I asked a similar question in a "forever alone" post when I faced this problem for the first time with my S4. You will find the link to an informative thread about this topic:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45227610
Fortunately my GN 10.1 2014 performs very well (no noticeable interference), but I think that my new router, with a wider wifi signal range, did the magic. In theory a 5GHz wifi signal has no interference with the 2.4 GHz Bluetooth signal.
I hope it helps

Thanks so much for the info and the links! I didn't realize that this was a known Android issue. I hope Samsung or Google can fix the issue in the future, although it seems like it has been occurring for at least a year, and it is not clear if it is a software or hardware issue. I'll try using a different router next. My current router is pretty old and doesn't support 5 Ghz, so :fingers-crossed: I'll be able to use bluetooth headphones and watch Youtube videos together.
Thanks again.

I have had the same problem with a bluetooth keyboard and mouse not working correctly, I found if I turn off the wifi radio on p600 I have up to 3 co current bluetooth connection going at he same time. when the wifi is on and active the bluetooth is dropping off think it has to do with wifi 4.0 radio in the tablet or the placements of the attennas in the tablet.
Same thing here
I'm having exactly the same problem. When I connect my p600 tablet to my bluetooth speakers the wifi stops working after a couple of minutes while using my tplink router. If I use my dlink router the wifi speed is greatIy reduced, I can still play "tune in radio" but the conection its to slow for youtube.
Issue RESOLVED on Windows 10 PC
I was having this problem and was breaking my head trying to understand why this was happening...I tested a set of Bluetooth headphones that had no mic and they worked fine, it was only my Bluetooth headphones with a mic when this would happen.
After so much troubleshooting I found that my Bluetooth headset was registering as both a headset and headphones and Windows was enabling the "headset" as the default communication device and the "headphones" as the default playback device. When both were active it made all streaming online videos buffer and never play.
When I disabled one of them the videos started to playback fine after one of the devices was disabled. Hope this helps in some way but I think it is the way the Bluetooth headset is registering as two different devices and causing a conflict. I wouldn't know how to fix this on a Galaxy Note but there may be a setting in Bluetooth connections where you can see this happening in Android like it does in Windows.

[Q] Bluetooth music lags

Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my Huawei ascend P6. In my car I have a radio with bluetooth. There is no problem with making calls via BT and music is playing too, BUT not correctly. There are many lags during palying, its like a listening scratchy CD. I have no idea where is the problem. When I find out that problem, I was in b125 rom with root, so I tried to reinstal to b122 and there is the same problem. I tried another player too (power amp).
Do anyone have some idea how to fix it?
Thank you and excuse my english!
I use Bluetooth paired with soundbar system and don't have problems...even during many hours.
I've install 125 rom.
Hi,
i have a Alpine CDA-137BTi (car-radio) and the same Problem. Ever i herad music it lags. If i call with anybody it is perfectly.
My Firmware B125
My radio used a patriod BT modul
Hi,
I am not sure but i think that I solve it. I was thinking where exactly can be the problem and then I realized that the main problem of this phone is processor and its optimalization. And because there was no aplications runing background, I tried turn off Wi-Fi and lags where gone. For sure I tried run Riptide GP game like a stress test and still no lags. Than I tried turn Wi-Fi on again and lags where back. It needs more testing, but during 5 minutes of my testing (it was 1:30 am) there was no problem when wi-fi was off.
One side I am not using wifi in my car, on the other side it will be not very comfortable turning wifi on and off in the car. Although it will work it is not full-featured solution. So if anybody have better idea how to solve it without swtiching wifi please write it here.
Thank U!

I had exactly the same problem : it only occurs when you use bluetooth with no wifi network connected.
At home, when i'm connected to my wifi network, I don't have this issue. It seems like each time wifi tries to discover networks, it lags my music streaming.
So I installed Tasker (Paly store), and configured it so that when I'm connected to my car's bluetooth device, it disables Wifi (and re-enable when it disconnects from my car's bluetooth device).
I now don't have this issue anymore.
Give it a try !

So, I .. I spent the last few hours reading about tasker - what is "tasker" for and how to use it - it took a lot of time to me, because my english is not very good... and result? Not much I know now a little about what is it for, but I have absolutely no idea how to use it. There is a large number of Instructions in english how to use it and much more technical terms in it which I dont understand. Please, do you think that you could write here a little "step by step recipe" how to use tasker to disconnect wifi when the bluetooth is paired with my radio?
Thank you for answer.
Hi all,
the question is, why it lags? Tasker are no solution for me. On my old HTC Sensation XE all music, calls, navigation and and and works fine.

The main question is how to fix it. I tried to instal other versions of rom and I think, that only b111 doesn´t have that problem (I am not sure..). But b111 have other deficiencies. There is no problem on my "old" galaxy SII and my girlfriends galaxy pocket too, P6s hw is better, so there can be only problem in sw optimalization and yes, tasks are not ideal solution, but what else can we do? Personaly I can´t work neither with tasker, so if anybody have other idea, share it
Why no try to use Bluetooth app on performance mode. ? Could works
I have the very same problem.

Yes, I´m sending device to service tomorrow (because of these lags and problem with camera LED) Which ROM do you use? b111 or some later? I´m asking becasue with b111 lags were not so often.
I also have these problems. Updated ROM to version B512, looks like it's a little better, but still the lag is there. WiFi off doesn't have any effect for me..
Did somebody find the solution???
Turning of WiFi doesn't solve the problem for me..
Pls somebody reply after 2 years (':

Bluetooth issues

Hi. Wondering if anybody could help. When I connect my oneplus 5T to my car I have problems. When it starts to call it disconnects the bluetooth from the car completely. However the call continues on the phone which is a complete pain as you cant use it through the hands free. Car is a BMW 630CI with pro nav if that helps.
Many Thanks
i first had problems to connect to my audi A3 bluetooth ... it simply didn´t find it
after trying again and changing the bluetooth audio codec it suddenly worked ...
Idk if it will work for you, but you can try changing the codec and se if it helps
Hi. Ive tried all 3. It connects fine and I can see my contacts but as soon as I hit dial it disconnects from the car.
Very strange.
Thanks for the suggestion tho
with mine in my car it every now and then gives me this a crackling sound.. Kind of irritating, I'm hoping a software update down the road fixes this.. I've tried all 3 codecs
Having issues with Bluetooth connection on my Prius Prime as well. It always disconnects, I had to disable Bluetooth on the phone and re-able it for it to work.
I experience the same with my Boss QC35. First connection, audio breaks with lots of noise and had to disable it and re-enable it.
Still found no solution. Hope the next update sorts it out as the bluetooth seems a mess.
So after looking around, there are issues with certain codecs and devices connecting being posted in the OP community forums. My Sony WH1000xm2 headphones stutter when using AptX HD. My JBL Everest 750NC's - if you turn the volume up too high, they disconnect from the phone. In my Cadillac ATS, whenever you place a call it'll stay connected, but you won't hear anything, and the other user can't hear you either.
I think they've acknowledged the issues and are working on them, but after putting Oreo on my Moto G5 Plus and Oreo's ability to change between all codec's on the fly (including native LDAC support!) I'm anxiously awaiting Oreo to be 'officially' released.
I'd say just be patient.. I'm sticking with this phone because I think it'll be worth it in the end. Wish I had better news!
so I resolved my Bluetooth issues by flashing FreedomOS. Now there is no intermittent crackling sound now and there is no issues at all ymmv, this was just my experience.
Thanks. Will wait for Oreo and then try different roms if it continues.
on FreedomOS before, it was giving me headache re-connecting to my Subaru car bluetooth, like after you shutoff engine, go somewhere and come back, unless you manually force connecting to the car, it barely auto reconnect back.
And also takes so long to get data sync from my Fitbit chargeHR to the app.
I don't think this kind of bluetooth issue related to what rom we have but the kernel and more specifically BT firmware.
-----edit-------
My friend also got BT issue when he tried to connect to BT headset. Hope Oneplus get something fixed on new oreo or updates
Just an update. Since upgrading to the official Oreo rom my problems have disappeared and my phone now works fine with the car Bluetooth.
Chris
I still have problems. Pause and unpause, and the track restarts. After ending a phone call the track restarts. 2018 RAM, Uconnect
With stock ROM 4.7.2 bluetooth connected only for a few seconds with my Audi A6. With every following stock ROM version it didn't even connect.
I tried every single Audio-Codec and the different settings in developer options - nothing helped. Once I cleared data & cache from the bluetooth system apps followed with a soft brick
Hi all,
Had same issues with my Hyundai ix35 and oneplus 5t (Nougat), tracks skipping, distorted audio in calls, etc... Tried emptying bluetooth cache, switching audio codecs without success. Now I just received the OTA update to Oreo (8.0), Oxygen rom 5.0.3 and it solved the issues!!! Yeay, no more auxilary cable hanging around !

i don.t have any volume control from the phone basically when i connect it to my car stereo
i can control the volume for the first 4-5 clicks ... and then the slider moves but there is no difference in the volume
i have to turn the volume from the stereo almost to the max
whit my old samsung tablet works great ... i have maybe 50% more volume then with my phone
tried all codecs ...

Trouble with Cam and Bluetooth

Second, so many Problems with Bluetooth-Connect. I'll paire the Nokia with my Garmin Vivoactive 3 - the initial Pair and the intial Synch will works fine. Leave the Connection-Area, the Nokia doesen't reconnect the Watch. I'll test with a Motorola fon and a Amazon Fire Tabelt, the reconncet works very well - it's must be a problem on the Nokia / Oreo Side...

Keep in mind that the phone is just released here in Europe. We can't expect them to just have fixed every problem in the universe.
I too have sometimes problems with some minor lag, but I just think we need to be a little more patient for Nokia/Google to release improvements.
Same problems here with Bluetooth connections and overall phone lagginess...
TA-1068 - two different Bluetooth headsets connect flawlessly, but when the phone is in my pocket I experience some connection problems, like losing connection for a moment. If it's out of the pocket and near the headset, connection is ok. Guess some range problems...
I was experiencing the lagging as well, very very noticeable and not good considering previous phone was Moto g2015 and felt just as slow as the Nokia.
So I decided to try something which seems to have fixed all lagging. I disabled the camera app that came with the phone, installed Google camera, and then restarted. Lag is now gone. It really sucks they shipped this phone with a buggy camera app but glad I figured out a fix

I'm having very annoying audio problems with the 6.1, with both Bluetooth and the audio jack.
When I connect my phone to a speaker or headset via Bluetooth, the audio is constantly dropping out. Once every 10-20 seconds it sounds like someone turns the sound to 0, pauses, then slowly turns the volume back up again. And this happens with the phone sitting less than 2 feet away from the speaker/headphones. I've tried with two Bluetooth devices (3-4 year old jLab Crasher; brand new Anker headphones) and 2 apps (Amazon Music; Podcast Addict) and all 4 combinations had the constant drop outs. I've tried rebooting the phone. I've used the Bluetooth headset on a different, much older, device and had no issue, so I'm nearly positive it's the phone. Are other people experiencing these frequent drop outs too? Or do I just have a defective Bluetooth radio in my phone?
Normally I don't even use Bluetooth because I prefer the consistency of a plugged in cable. I probably wouldn't have even discovered the Bluetooth problem were it not for the audio jack. It's not as consistent but just as annoying. I'll be listening to Podcast Addict and suddenly the audio will just stop playing through my headphones. I'll look at the app and about half the time the podcast will be paused but the other half it'll still be playing and I'll have to do a weird combination of unplugging and re-plugging the headphones combined with closing and reopening the podcast before it'll play through the headphones again. Again, is anyone else experiencing headphone jack issues?
Similar 3.5mm audio plug problems here also.

the camera issues can be remedied by side loading the 7 plus camera apk and with BT try disabling BT "scanning" in the settings. I also noticed an improvement with Wifi by disabling "scanning" as well .

At the risk of jinxing things, I think that fixed it! I had seen something for the Nokia 6 (2017) about disabling BT scanning but I couldn't find it anywhere on my menu so I thought it was specific to that model. Dopey me. Finally found it and switched scanning off and now I've listened over 5 minutes without a single drop out. Thanks!
Edit: Well, that worked for one night. Turned off the Bluetooth and Wifi scanners and was able to listen over Bluetooth for over an hour with just one drop. Then this morning got 5 drops in a minute. Rebooted the phone and got even more. Will contact Nokia support.
Strange. I have obviously switched off the scanning at first set up, but Bluetooth problem is there...

I used the Nokia support app and this is what transpired:
1) They had me try the Bluetooth in Safe Mode (while holding power button down tap Restart and then a prompt should pop up for Safe Mode; Click that).
2) In Safe Mode listened to 10 minutes of YouTube drop-free
3) Rebooted into Normal Mode and got 3 drops in the first 1 minute.
4) Back to the chat, where Support had me clear the Bluetooth cache (Applications --> Show System Apps (from 3 dots drop down in upper right corner) --> Bluetooth --> Storage --> Clear cache --> Restart) Did not help me. 3 drop outs in first 60 seconds after restart.
5) Next Support had me Reset Network Settings. (Settings --> Network & Internet--> 3 dots in upper right corner --> Reset WiFi, Mobile & Bluetooth)
6) This works!... For now at least. I'll use it and slowly re-add other Bluetooth devices like my car, my Fitbit, etc. If the audio drops suddenly reappear it may give me a clue on what is causing the problem.

Thanks for this. Will give it a go and report back. Thanks
I don't remember if I mentioned, but the may update for pixels fixes a similar problem, so in a couple of days it might get fixed for us also.
