Flashify - Elephone P8000

Hi everyone,
What do you think of flashify to flash a custom recovery or a custom rom / stock ?

regards

Used flashify to backup stock recovery then flash custom recovery.
Need to have super su installed.
1. backup recovery if something goes wrong just in case.
2. Flash custom recovery. TWRP works fine for me.

CWM installed, but missing

The phone is with stock rom + root. Installed Rom Manager, then CWM.
CWM version is 5.5.0.0 and it is showing:
Current recovery: ClockworkMod 6.0.1.9
But when I select Reboot into recovery = Stock Android recovery appears.
If I shut it down and enter manually = again stock recovery.
Why?

I wanted to use ROM Manager and CWM, too, but was told only TWRP is the only recovery that works and not to even try installing CWM. It doesn't work with Samsung devices.

I read the problem is that stock Samsung roms always restore stock recovery and in order to make CWM work you have to delete the stock recovery file.
Q. I flashed CWM but each time I reboot the Stock Recovery is back
There is an auto recovery restore system on Android that will reflash the Stock Recovery if you flash CWM on a Stock Rom.
Use Root Explorer to Mount the system folder as R/W (or use a free app from the Market). Delete the file recovery-from-boot.p from /system. Now when you flash CWM Recovery it will NOT be overwritten after a reboot. You can also use the Toolkit to rename the files if you wish.

Getting 8.4 soon - custom recovery?

If I want to go immediately to ROMS, no matter what version is on the Tablet, can I just flash TWRP with the stock recovery and ROM from there? Or do I have to root, and then Flashify the recovery?

With e.g. Odin you can both root the tablet and install TWRP.

Can't install custom recovery

I've tried to flash CWM Recovery and TWRP Recovery and it doesn't work. Odin says it's all ok, but I just always end up on stock recovery. I have the Canadian variant.
Edit: Nevermind. I managed to root it without a custom recovery, and then installed TWRP Manager from the app store, and got the custom recovery from there.

TWRP gets overwritten

I'm on latest ob18. I am able to flash it, and run it once, but after reboot, the stock recovery gets Back. Any ideas?
Just Reflash twrp via flashify or adb in fastboot mode, that could be normal if u r flash an unmodified stock rom
Yep. On latest ob-Oos or H2o for me recovery stays, after instaltion of the rom. But on a second reboot, stock recovery shows and i reflash custom recovery again.
Guys I flashed latest H2OS beta over OOS Beta18 and lost access to recovery. These are the steps I followed, please help.
1. Backup current ROM (OB18)
2. Dirty Flash New H2OS version
3. Flash recovery image again
4. Reboot system
ROM booted without any problems and all my data is present but I lost access to TWRP.
Solution attempted: Reboot to fastboot and flash recovery image again, the process is successful but still TWRP is not coming up.
Please help. Thanks in advance
Stock rom always over writes recovery best way to get it to stick is flash stock zip than twrp reboot to twrp and reboot or flash mods/root

This device hasn´t recovery partition, stock recovery interface is a part of the stock boot, when you flashed a custom rom it was overwritten but if you already flashed the TWRP installer what you can do now is to flash stock boot or a backup of the boot that you´re using but you´ll lose Magisk or a custom kernel if you have it.
The better is then to set up all included Magisk not to flash TWRP installer.
