Cases that fit with the rosewood styleswap? - OnePlus 2 Accessories

So here's the thing, I love the rosewood styleswap on my OP2 but by nature I'm very clumsy and I always drop my phones. Is there a case at all that will fit with the rosewood styleswap cover?
I know, it's kind of moot putting a case on top of the custom styleswaps, but yeah...

See http://forum.xda-developers.com/one...eplus-2-case-review-thread-post-case-t3203384. @DustinDep also uses a custom Styleswap, and he's tested quite a lot of cases already.

I saw his thread. He seems to be using the black apricot and kevlar styleswaps and they don't really add any extra bulk, the rosewood one adds a few millimeters and that's enough to make most cases not fit properly.

I guess you're going to have to be the guinea pig and test some for the rest of us then

Just tested with my brother's Styleswaps (I bought none myself) and Kevlar and Rosewood add the same extra thickness to the phone. I suppose the same goes for Black Apricot as they're all just a layer with a coating on them. Don't have any cases laying around though, sorry.

Hi all style swaps are the same thickness and the cases will fit just fine except for on the side they wont be a snug fit and this is the case with all the cases though Orzly Fusuion fits slight better

What's your source, do you own any? The Sandstone Black Styleswap is obviously thinner than the other ones. They're all the same in width too, so I don't see how they won't fit snug on the sides either.

I have the rosewood and the Ringke Fusion case which does not fit great with the SwapStyle but better with the Sandstone. I have the Orzly Fusion Bumper on the way.

Hi! I have the Aprocot one now but before that i had the rosewood before I returned it, hence I know

This thread can be scrapped, I'm selling my rosewood styleswap.

I have the ringke fusion with the black apricot back and it fits good for me.

The absolute thinnest case i can buy is...?

I really dont want to use a case for my phone, but i need one to use it on my car dock.. which requires me to stick a piece of metal on my phone so i can attach it to a magnet in my car (Tetrax x-way if anyone is wondering). So im looking for the thinnest case i can buy... I dont even really need it to protect my phone, i just want the thinnest layer possible.
Any recommendations?

I can also confirm that the Ringke slim is the thinest case around
Yeh ringke case slim and if you get it in metallic it blends in with the phones colour and its like you don't have a case on the phone, I love mine.

Unfortunately it will not fit. You need something else for this. Maybe "case mate barely there" has a model for lte extended ...

Best case in that regard is the Diztronic TPU case. It's the thinnest TPU case I've found that actually fits properly. Don't buy anything else, trust me.
If you want to go thinner, I have a CaseMate Barely-There. With the Standard battery COVER (still using the extended battery) it will fit 98% with a small gap at the bottom.
Personally I like the Diztronic v3 Glossy Black for $8. I didn't like the Matte. Glossy blends in better with the screen and looks sexier.
If you want to try the CaseMate, I'll sell it for $15 (normally $25). It's a Matte Black.

The matte has a gloss lip around the screen. The matte also doesnt show fingerprints and grease like the gloss, so I would say the matte is def the way to go.
If you want thin with ext batt and lte phone, go with cruzer lite. Plus they are cool. Read throughout the thread too for feed back other than mine.

Best TPU style case?

Looking for the thinnest and best fitting TPU style case. So far, I know of the Incipio NGP, Diztronic and Cruzerlite. What do you guys recommend?

I'm using the Diztronic matte blue one. Fits really well and looks great, much better than the cheapo one I picked up on ebay :silly:
Hasn't anyone used all 3 of the cases I listed above for their S3 and can compare? Wondering which one's the thinnest.
In have the diztronic matte black and it's great. Its not too thick and has a decent grip to it. Some have said the cruzerlite tpu cases have a ribed side for grip.
+1 For Diztronic matte black. Thin, light, good fit, easy to remove, no finger prints, slides easily in and out pockets, provides "adequate" protection of all 4 side edges given its thickness and a light lid-bumper around the front edges of the screen helps keep the screen from touching flat surfaces when the SGS3 is placed face-down. Btw... it also looks good.
I have all 3 and I must say the THINNEST hands down is none of the above. Samsung actually makes the thinnest TPU case and also while its the thinnest it has covered flaps for the 3.5mm headphone jack and the micro usb charging port! While I love my clear matte back Diztronic case the Samsung one has it beat in terms of sheer thinness. It also has the least amount of lip so it doesn't lift the edges of a Zagg or other full screen protector. Just my 2 cents.

The Body Glove tpu case is actually really thin on my S3 and its 20 bucks on Smartphonepedia.com. I hope this helps

I find it lame that people review cases and use the terms "thin" and "slim" in term reviews... These terms are totally useless to me as they can mean drastically different things to different people. When I do case reviews I try to include measurements whenever possible.
Example, post #4 of my Igadgitz TPU case review:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1762539
I think if more an more people start doing this, everyone will be better off.

Will do.
The Mercury Pearl is by far the best fitting and looking TPU for the SGS3.
IMHO, YMMV...
i have a diztronic and the cruizerlite case. i like the cruizerlite better but thats mainly because it has the cool design all over it. the diz is just a plain cae. the diz is thinner than the cruizer but the cruizer has the ribbed sides so it grips better. they both fit about the same. the ridge on the front that touched the screen is a little thicker on the cruizer. i'd recommend either to anyone!

not splashproof but very thin..
I really like my mercury translucent Incipio NGP case. Only downside is that the covered power button is a little harder to click.
really like my matte black ditztronic
I want to try a Diztronic case but I don't like the color choices for my white S3.

D3o cases are junk. Especially the ones with the softish plastic backing. The all black one piece is alright, but still junk.
The ones with the colored plastic backing are prone to cracking just be taking off the case. Big no-no since I wash my case periodically.
On top of that, the 3.5mm slot is too small. Only slim jacks fit while the d3o case is on. I'm not willing to change my Sennheisers just because design flaws of the case.
Don't forget how much force it takes to push the power button. Over time, this can damage the power button by recessing it in. I switched to the white body glove. Its properly designed and does what I need it do.

i have a case similar to this, one of the amazon variants.
any who i really like the design, especially the thick corners which is what many times takes the impact of the drop. i have not had problems with screen bubbling up either
I purchased the white body glove case from tmobile store and its doing the job. I've dropped the phones a couple of times already, and its still doesnt show any scratches unless your eyeball is touching the case.
I got one from moster accessory website called the black transfusion hard cover case an I really like it as my second case. My first case was the D30, but the transfusion case was more cheaper than the d30.

I used the Incipio Feather for the past 2 years and loved it, but decided to give one of these a go. They are both the same just with a different name sticker. Build quality seems similar to the Feather. Overall, very happy.

I got the black smoke one they have on the Motorola site. I think its made by Incase. I found it on amazon for cheaper so I bought it there. Its not really black and more like clear smoke. I have the dev edition so it looks good and you can still see through the back and it has that soft touch feel that the ringke slim has on my galaxy nexus. I also like that it does not cover the M dimple on the back.

The power support shell is slimmer than the in case and comes with an anti scratch coating. The shell is nice in that there are no seams on the inside so it has less chance of scratching your phone. Haven't had the chance to really test it as I'm waiting for my moto x replacement but I'll snap some pics afterward. If you are into the hard minimalist case big don't want to introduce scratches, this seems the best option for now.

Received Anker case. Despite being sandy texture, the case is very slippery.
It also does not protect all corners. Highly disappointed, because its look is very nice.
Why don't all cases have the moto indentation on the back confuses me.
i bought both the poetic pallete and the bear motion cases. of the 2, i like the bear motion better with the grippier texture. However, that said, neither fit my phone well at all and won't stay locked into place. YMMV
I have bought the anker sandpaper, incipio feather, poetic, as well as two bumper cases from some HK-based vendor. Of the 3 minimalist "cases", I use the incipio the most. Truth be told, the poetic has a better (but nearly identical) texture to it, but the bottom is shaped in such a way where it digs into my small finger when holding it (I have my finger running parallel along the very bottom). If the incipio kept the dimple, it'd be my daily driver. I use the bumper cases more often than not and whenever I do grab one of the minimalist ones, it's always the incipio.

I have the Incipio Folio which includes a feather. Basically, you have a the feather case, and then you can snap that into a wallet style flip case. The only gripe I have about the feather is it contours to the phone too well... If you have the phone on a flat surface it just spins and flops around if you poke at it.

Recommended cases?

Anyone recommend which is the best (hopefully cheap) case out for the G3 at the moment? I'd preferably be after one that protects the device from drops and knocks well, instead of those silly leather flip ones that serve no purpose

As above I managed to get a no antenna version for my European version, got it in gunmetal and black perfect case, nicely made no mould lines looks more expensive that it actually is
I'm using a Spigen Slim Armor as well. Already saved my phone from a 2 foot drop onto concrete.
Same, using a counterfeit Spigen Slim Armor... it costs only 2,99$ and also i compared it to the original one and it's identic.

Yes, it is. But the Otterbox Commuter I used on my SGS3 was slippery as well, so I'm used to it.
So far 2 cases I have used that I am very satisfied.
First is the Spigen Slim Armour as alot of people here pointed. It offers good all round protection with a slight increase in bulk. Build quality is very good and looks damn sleek. Only cons are the back portion is very very slippery so you have to be careful, and it's also kinda expensive.
Second is the Imak air jacket. Very slim transparent case, allows you to retain the ergonomics and design of the phone. Build quality is excellent but doesn't offer as much protection.
I've used both a Spigen Slim Armor and an Ultra Hybrid and while I can recommend both, I'd go with the Slim. Both are a both slippery though.
Just for reference the black slim armor is a soft touch rubber feel which isn't as slippery as the colour options
http://www.ebay.com/itm/191248490864?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
Best case I've ever owned:
1. Completely transparent
2. Hard, but flexible
3. Thinner than 90% of other cases out there - doesn't add more bulk than needed
4. Envelopes the whole phone (all edges and corners, laps over the face and ridges out a good 2mm)
The only 2 negatives:
1. It could be slippery if your hands are oily/moist
2. Missing the fuzzy soft touch rubber feel
I have the Spigen slim armor and it seems ok, although the fit isn't as snug as i would like. I just got the LG quick circle case which has apps that you can use with the circle, although it's not much for protecting the phone. Still... It's something different than other devices.
Slim Armor
I have the black Spigen Slim Armor and I like it. It offers good protection, isn't too slick although could be stickier, and doesn't add much bulk.
