ROM OS Version: 5.1.x Lollipop
Based On: PAC-MAN
Version Information
Status: Beta
Current Beta Version: Milestone Release 1

@ZION959 for getting me started
@iurnait for [Guide]How to Compile PAC Rom
@osm0sis and @TKruzze for TK GAPPS (formerly PA GAPPS)
@Deltadroid for Delta GAPPS (these are recommended in the CM 12.1 thread)
@nubkiller1996 for testing and asking for it to begin with.

-Root
You need to activate the developer settings menu and then enable root.
Settings > About Phone > Build number > Tap 7 times
Settings > Developer Options
-How often will this be updated?
I plan on weekly updates on Friday or Saturday mornings, unless there is a major fix; then I'll update it sooner. Being that this is beta that may happen pretty often.
-Are you a developer?
I am not a rom developer, the good people that make PAC-MAN make it fairly easy to build it. I got into it because the maintainer left the Sprint Note 3 and I really like running this rom. So I went and read how to do it myself. I now do unofficial builds for Note 3, S5, Note Pro 12.2 and now this device. The latter two for my nephew. I've always wanted to give back to the community so I share as much as I can.
-Mirror?
Anyone can mirror this, though I use Google Drive as a mirror.

OH thank you! Someone's finally building the PACMan ROM for the Note 4! I used to only run PAC but there has been no updates for months so I couldn't.
Thank you and let me know what you bees for testing!

Can't wait to run this. Ran your build on the S5 and enjoyed it

This ROM is so sweet thanks

Thanks so very much for this awesome ROM!!

Awsome ROM! Thank you!

What can I flash to make the volume louder?

have you tried Viper?
there is also xtreme music which is nice google it there is a forum

Hey all my nephew has reported that he can't send text messages, has anyone else experienced this problem?? Thank you.

Download LTE switcher from the play store and set to/CDMA Auto PRL this will set your device to the correct 3G network and texts will work. The other option is to hit *#*#4636#*#* on the dialer and set to /CDMA auto PRL once the testing menu opens, both do the same thing.
Like others said, Google this, it's an issue all over the XDA Sprint note 4 forums. Google before asking a question that's been answered a billion times.
-edit - I apologize, I didn't realize that I was replying to the dev of the ROM, I would've been less sarcastic with my response about the texting bug! Keep up the great work

1st…you should test roms before you know what you're releasing then you would know that the text issue is on all aosp roms based on cm. It is a cm issue that has been discussed countless times on all aosp threads. 2nd…is this rom for note 3 or 4 because it says note 3 but is posted on note 4 development? -Root

-A small file is downloaded from dev-host
For some reason chrome doesn't work well with dev-host, download the zip on your PC and transfer it over or use firefox (or another browser not based on chrome) to download it to your phone.

I'm having no issues with SMS or anything else. This is a great rom, and I hope you keep building it for us. Thanks!

I appreciate you double checking my thread and attempting to help; but ...
1. This is beta - which means its not complete and is offered up to anyone that would like to help TEST the ROM.
2. The only mention of Note 3 is in my signature or in the FAQ explaining how I got into building ROMs and for which devices I build for, I don't have this device, I offer it to XDA simply because I like to give back to the community that has helped me better enjoy each device I've owned.
As many builders have said in the past, you don't need to run this if you don't want to. As a member since 2008 you should be well aware and understand that these threads are meant for constructive conversation about the ROM that is intended to assist in either the development or usage of the ROM.

Mine! Will fix up OP later.
Guess you liked my idea,...lol.
Time for me to find some other project to start I guess.
Just what I've been waiting for! Downloading now...
This is so awesome!!! I have tried this ROM before on my Nexus 7 and never thought it would come to this phone (well the Verizon one anyways).
Thanks for all your hard work and support for this phone!!!
I can't edit my contacts. When I select a contact, the menu button does not come up. Could I have hit something in the settings that I'm not aware of? Other than that, running smoothly.
Figures, I just finished setting up CM 10.2. I'll try this tonight.

It would be so nice if the HTC One allowed you to have several ROMs on your phone to switch between. Probably my most missed feature from my previous Droid Bionic.
Does this have the IR support workaround patch that was mentioned in the CM 10.2 thread?

Does not have the patch. Mainly cause it wouldn't work for me in my private build. Guess it will be in next built. I hope CM fixes it soon.

Welcome to PAC you little black sheep of the m7 series.
Nice work @Flyhalf205
Bugs I've found:
- When coming out of airplane mode, I have to cycle it again to get data.(EDIT: Seems to have resolved itself after a couple reboots)
- Seems the "Notification Lights" and "LED Control" might conflict, as I can't get either to fully do what's intended.
- Spelling suggestions in the messaging app cause it to force close.
The following just seem to be Verizon 4.3 ROMs in general.
- When other end hangs up during a call, call is reported as lost.
- Can't send MMS. No errors, it just never gets past sending. (EDIT: Seems to have resolved itself after a couple reboots)
- Changing the notification panel background (opacity or image) causes a System UI FC loop.
That's all I've come across so far, other than that, loving the ROM.
PAC is now official New build is out! OP is updated
It seems small, but I rely heavily on the vCard via sms functionality in the sense sms app. Can't seem to find a solution on the market. Is there a solution here?
Sent from my HTC6500LVW using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
YES!
Used PAC 4.2.2 on my Inc2 and was really hoping to see it come to this device!
Installing after work and will report back
EDIT: Got it all setup and no bugs at all so far. Will keep updated
Thanks!
I'm still having problems getting the three "menu dots" in both Contacts, and the stock messaging app. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? I did a complete wipe & reinstalled the latest version. Thanks.

Is it possible to provide download mirror, which doesn't force you to register on another forum?
There's no need to register on another forum, download is available as a link on that site. If you look at the top of the op there is direct link to Basketbuild website.
On other note last nightly failed to build, temporary link in second post.
this rom isn't based on official T-Mo Lollipop - the topic is misleading There are no advanced tethering options available - cannot select frequency channel and 5Ghz tethering band is unavailable as well, which is a deal breaker for me. Had to restore nandroid backup. Also, installing themes using Theme Chooser app causes infinite boot loop. I tried Material Glass theme from play store, for example.

Rom looks awesome - thanks for all the hard work.
Question: is there any way you could add the missing 5Ghz tethering option? It's present in the stock TouchWiz roms, such as the one for N900T, which is based on official T-Mobile LP firmware UVUFOB6. I was hoping since official fimrware is out needed tethering changes can be borrowed from it.
Personally, I cannot use roms without 5Ghz tethering option. My workplace has strict security and blocks most internet access, so have to use my own and all channels of the 2.4Ghz band in my work area are over-saturated - getting dial-up like internet quality. 5Ghz is the only thing that works.

Firmware is not enough, they need to release source code as well. Also 5.1 is out and everyone will focus on that now. I will see if there is a hack or something to do this, no promises.
I just flashed this ROM, but I don't have root access, am I missing something?

I haven't noticed any issues or crashes at all in a full day of use and it's full of cool features . The only reason I had to go back to my nandroid is because this rom doesn't have 5ghz tethering, which is a must have for me.

That's because you are right - it was a typo. The build I installed was the 2015-03-26 nightly. Sorry for this one.
Do not worry buddie! I was just surprised but I've just read in g+ that there are some server's trouble.
Fortunately, as you stated, the last nightly works really OK!
Enviado desde mi GT-I9505 mediante Tapatalk
The latest nightly is running smooth. Thanks for the good work.
The only issue I have is that some app like MySword doesn't read my external card. I tried ES Explorer and several other app. They can read my card.
I tried to unmount and remount it in setting > storage. Es Explorer can recognize my card but after MySword tried and failed, the external card can't be recognized again.
Is that only me? I've seen similar thing on AICP nightlies. Can anyone confirm this? Or is there a way to fix it?
Thanks in advance, guys.

Thanks
@ZION959 for getting me started
@iurnait for [Guide]How to Compile PAC Rom
@Valera1978 for assistance with the device files for v1awifi
@osm0sis and @TKruzze for TK GAPPS (formerly PA GAPPS)
@Deltadroid for Delta GAPPS (these are recommended in the CM 12.1 thread)
@nubkiller1996 for testing and asking for it to begin with.
FAQ
It was pointed out by Valera that this build is for US variant only, as it uses the partitioning during the build process. They've outlined a process to make it more compatible. I'll give that a try on my next run.
7/24/15 - Build is now being created as files and not partitions in the ROM zip. This should make it compatible with most all variants.
I now do unofficial builds for Note 3, S5 and now this device. The latter two for my nephew. I've always wanted to give back to the community so I share as much as I can.
How cool of you to do this for your nephew and the rest of the community, thanks!
Can you change that credit to TKruzze & osm0sis? He's still the GApps guru in charge.

Done :highfive:
Thanks for bringing another custom ro to this device! Does this rom have any major bug!? And another question! Does it have that horizontal lines in task switcher like cm 12.1? Thnaks.
Sent from my SM-P901
Is the link broken I'm sure the ROM is bigger than 16kb

I don't have the device, my nephew does. He hasn't reported anything so far. He has only been running it about a day though.
As you may be aware PAC-MAN is CM based so its quite possible that CM bugs are brought over.

Try using firefox to download the ROM or via PC.
chrome and dev-host has an uneasy relationship.

OK thanks
Hello,
Thank you for your work, I've tried in other devices and it's great, I have just one question.
This ROM supports USB devices ethernet?

I have to admit I really don't know.
If CM 12.1 supports it then it should because this ROM is based on it.
My only advice would be to backup and give it a whirl.
I should have a more compatible European device build soon, @Valera1978 is graciously assisting me with this process.
Stay tuned
Update 7/24/15
Getting back on schedule. :highfive:
Find the 7/24 zip in the download folder
PAC Changelog
I've built this zip using @Valera1978's suggestion so that it doesn't restrain it to just US variants of this device.
Please let me know how it goes.
This ROM will be updated every Friday or Saturday morning

Yep, any chance to port it? Also, I think that Note 3 (N9005) has pretty much the same spec than P905, and it has CM12.1.. since is the same hardware, you could use the ported N9005 rom maybe..
First of all thanks dev for this great ROM, the best thing that has happened to my Note, Great performance and terrific battery life, taken to the test on my field job and everything sound and clean, so thanks! Only thing I can not get to work is the side appbar to bring selected apps in floating mode, in my note 3 with exactly the same setup and also in cm12.1 works pretty well, (no xposed modules like xmultiwindow or xfloat enabled nor halo installed) but maybe I´m missing something here. When I longpress an app on the sidebar nothing happens, and a single click in the selected app will open fullscreen. A quick google search couldn´t help me at all so kindly asking for some enlightment
Thanks again for the ROM, kind regards!

*Compiled TEST branch of FrankenKernel for more performance
How to get Microg working on kylessopen devices, a quick tutorial about MicroG and its setup by @Zeroblood.
About build
Rom is odexed for better performance.
Source sync with latest commits from CM and PAC.
Screen recorder is broken *for now*.
For best experience I suggest you:
*set your CPU Governor to lulzactive
*set your I/O Governor to CFQ
*disable all touch sounds
*turn off Daydream in Settings/Display & lights
*turn off profiles if you do not use them
*If not using blacklist feature in Settings/Privacy disable it
*On first boot disable SuperUser logging and notifications
*Enable notification tick in PAC-Settings/Statusbar
*Floating mode fully functioning ( To access it,open "Recent apps " and hold desired app until you get prompt to use Floating mode)
This is a KylessPAC project
Being that stuff needed to build working KitKat rom for our devices (kylessopen) @kengnatural and I came to an idea to open one github organization were we will store everything we need to build this ROM, so future devs who are interested in helping out or developing, do not have to struggle with compiling and development of this ROM!.
Who are KylessPAC
Right now only @kengnatural and I are part of KylessPAC team, but anyone who is willing to contribute and to make ROMs for Kylessopen better, is free and encouraged to join! This device still has some life in it,so why not play and learn with it?
KylessPAC location
All stuff needed by PAC-Rom building for S756x devices (kylessopen) can be found here https://github.com/KylessPAC

TO OTHERS THAT USE GAPPS:
FIRST FLASH ROM,THEN BOOT IT UP AND SET IT UP,AFTER THAT GO BACK TO RECOVERY AND FLASH GAPPS.
IF YOU DONT DO IT LIKE THIS YOU WILL HAVE TO REFLASH EVERYTHING .
I DONT USE GAPPS SO DONT ASK ME THINGS ABOUT IT.

hmm.. I was using xxlj3 modem on the moment I told you ril is finally fixed but really buggy, then I switched to xxbjm1 and that's where it became stable.
Modem-baseband plays a roll when it comes to wifi-RIL stuff.
When you flash cusrom ROM you don't flash modem,as modem is on different partition and its recommended never to switch your modem, use one you've got with phone (your stock rom).
If you do mess up modem, jus download your stock rom and flash it via Odin/Heimdall and youll be a-okay
