Straight to voicemail issue - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

I have the Straight Talk Samsung Galaxy SIII SCH-S960L. (I was told it's a brother phone to the sprint galaxy s III) anyway. It's stock rom, not rooted, ect.
My question is, Incoming and outgoing calls work just fine, except when my Sons school calls. (well anyone working at the school district that calls from a school line) it goes straight to voice mail. doesn't ring or anything. I get a voice mail notification, but no incoming call. I called straight talk and they said it's not their problem it's a problem with the school districts phones. but yet everyone at his school says I'm the only person this ever happens with. I'm confused and not sure what to do. I don't have blocking mode on. I don't have any of the school phone numbers on a reject list. and as I said, it's only the school this happens with. any other incoming call from anyone else goes through just fine. I took a screen shot of what it looks like when his school calls me (Like they did this morning with an emergency.) any ideas on why this is happening and what I can do? I'm uncomfortable with them not being able to reach me. Here's the screen shot:

Me to bro. I seem to get it after rebooting from CWM or maybe but rebooting
You're running Go SMS, you need to Disable other message notification. Go to Settings in Go SMS, Advanced tab, Receive Settings, and uncheck "Disable other message notification"
Drakhar, I haven't disabled that and I no longer get these text messages. I had them when I first got my phone.
Its most likely a problem with your tower. Put a ticket in for them to check it out.

Same thing was happening to me, soon as I disabled that they quit... Had read somewhere else that was what was causing it.
He could at least give it a shot and see if it works for him...
funny, I just saw this thread a little while ago and I just got one of these texts. I dont use Go sms though. I use handcent. the text body starts with //LL:1563: odd. I never had one until today and I've been running handcent for a couple of weeks now
it's visual voicemail & your sms app

Looking for the answer to this for a while
Thanks for the info on this, I have been looking for the answer to this for several weeks now. It's pretty annoying to having to press 1 to answer each call.
I believe is call screening
It may be annoying to you but some find it useful. This basically let's you eavesdrop on who is calling you in case they block call ID or are calling from phones other than their cellphone.
On the other side, don't forget about that next time you're calling someone and talk trash about them just before they pick up

Is anyone else having the problem where your phone only shows "Voice Calls" taking 100% of the battery usage after taking a call?
Ive hard reset the phone twice and before i make a call there are many things in the Battery Use fiels like Android system, Screen display, Music, WIFI, etc but after i take a call they all disapear and only "Voice Calls" is listed.
Its not bothering me or anythin gbut i would like to know if anyone else have this issue as i like to track whats using the most power throughout the day.
Can you post a screen shot of your battery usage screen? Hold power button and then press the home button to take a screenshot.

Thank you for confirming, i was about to hard reset my phone again because i thought disabling all the bloatware and installing a few apps that needed root caused my phone to go nuts.
Thank you again.
Edit:
Looks like mine worked it self out. After installing Temple run 2 and gaming for about an hour straight last night i decided to check again before i went to sleep and it fixed itself.

[Q] IMS showing in dialer, and cannot access keypad in dialer

When I try and actually dial a call (I know, who would think to use the M8 for actual phone calls) I get red IMS at top of screen and large MERGE CALLS button blocks the access to dialer.
Any idea what might have taken over my dialer app and how to remedy. I tried freezing Google Voice no effect. Ditto for installing a 34d party dialer, it just went right back to this screen after dialing.

Well....I could not figure out what was doing this. I tried to reflash the ROM and THAT failed. Thankfully I had a full nandroid backup from a week ago and restored that and all is well again. I would still like to figure out what I installed/fouled up that caused this. Any ideas?

Vibration Intensity

Maybe someone can help. I got an LG G3 not too long ago. My wife needed a new phone and being the great guy I am, she wanted another Samsung (she had the GS3) so I gave her my Note 4. I got an LG G3 because I was able to get it pretty cheap on a new contract and I heard it was a great phone.
Now, at work, I always have my phone on vibrate. The Note 4 used to almost bounce off the desk with vibrate. I had to keep turning down the intensity. With the LG G3, I've got the intensity set to as high as it can go and I can't hear it nor does it vibrate the desk at all. I've tried it in and out of the Spigen case I bought.
Is this normal for the G3 to basically have no vibration intensity, even at full? Or do I have a defective phone?
No one else sees the vibration on this phone as almost non existent?
bueller, bueller, bueller...

So you want it to go faster and more intense...

lol...No, I just want it to be able to be heard and felt if it's in my pocket. If it's sitting on my desk, I can't hear the vibration at all. I'm surprised this isn't more of an issue that is being talked about. I like this phone a lot, but vibration is useless.
