Blacklisted Tmobile S6Edge+ On ATT - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+

CAN YOU FIX BLACKLISTED IMEI? I was looking for in so on blacklisted devices and how to use on different networks

is the imei marked as blocked or lost/stolen

I have this same exact question. I have one but it was blacklisted due to non-payment. T Mobile isn't working with me with paying it off. Its unlocked and working on att now but my account was canceled last week. I'm so worried that I'm going to get 2 months down the road and its going to stop working. Does anyone have experience or know if this will happen?

I have one also i bought it for $500 and the phone was put on hold because previous owner did not pay it.

Have u tried it on att

From what I understand, if a phone's imei is blacklisted on a US carrier, it will not work on any of the other US carriers.

Someone in ebay do a remote imei repair for samsung s6 edge plus tmobile he charged $50 for it just type in search box in ebay "imei repair"

From my experience, I have a tmobile unlocked s6 edge plus blacklisted working with cricket (att)

Did the imei repair work

i can fix it, I'm a respected mobile repair shop in San Jose, if you want it repaired, you can send payment on paypal, and get it done only $45!!!
dm me

same issue but with T-mobile I need some help if any of you have the solution.

Almost 2 years ago if your phone blacklisted on T-Mobile it will work on AT&T and other carriers, now they have something like network agreement or shared database, so if th ephone get blacklisted on T-Mobile it will go bad on all within few weeks/days/months.
Now the other thing which is fixing/repairing imei on ebay it's kinda crazy because they use public certificates, which means the same imei shared/used on 100 + phone so when it get stolen/blacklisted you need to buy the service again.
the imei repair starts at $25.00 up to $99.00 depends on model and who doing and they willing to use private cert of public one.
you can use imeidata.net to check your imei blacklisted on which company and clear on which one, because swappa and other sites doesn't give you details about it.
at last there is other solutions without going through all the above and they cost less than repairing your imei such us unbarred & imei cleaning
otherwise if you still wanna repair it or check i could help with providing cheap solutions.

hello guys if you have tmobile samsung galaxy s6 edge or galaxy s6 and phone imei is blocked i will buy and give you top dollars cash today hit me up please

Bad IMEI in another country/carrier

Hi guys
Newbie question here
Im looking for a note 2 in Craigslist, some offers say "bad imei" and they have minor prices
For what I've read, the bad imei doesn't affect if I unlock the phone and use another carrier (I will use it in mexico)
am I correct?
Thanks in advance
Sent from my Vivid 4G using xda app-developers app
Thanks for the question. I too am curious about this.
As long as it's in another country and carrier, you will have no issues with a bad imei.
Keep in mind you're buying stolen goods, either directly or indirectly. Is that something you're comfortable with?

Well, I didn't think about that
You're right
And no, I dont want to be a part of that
It really depends. Someone may interpret a bad imei as blocked/blacklisted or completely missing. If the first owner was inexperienced at flashing they may have not made a back up of the efs folder and lost the imei. If they didnt fulfill the contract with a carrier it could also get it blacklisted. And then also the possibility it was reported stolen.
Sent from my G Note 2!!!
A friend of mine told his carrier he were robbed to use the insurance and sell that phone
Here in Mexico, in 2012 the president made a law to block IMEIs in robbed cellphones
But most people its ignorant about the laws and rights -_-
So, that law isnt even working XD
Back in thread, Theres no way to know if my next Note2 its stollen or lost, etc
So im buying Used, but good imei
Carriers in the u.s. are going to start blocking imeis on all carriers. If u put ur sim in a stolen device on att ur service will be suspended. Right now they are in the process to stop stolen imeis from working on other carriers here and out of country.

Sorry, I didn't want to pull the morality argument, because I usually hate people who do that. But yeah, even the phones that were blocked due to the contracts not being fulfilled? 75% of that is usually someone coming in, buying 5 phones on an ID where they don't care about their credit, and never paying the bill. Stolen phones.

Hi,
How can we report "phone stolen" in Mexico ? The phone was bought in Canada and thus is associated with a Canadian operator, however the phone was stolen as soon as I arrived in Mexico, that too inside the flight by a fellow passenger.
Can the Canadian operator blacklist my phone IMEI even though it is in Mexico ? Or can I call the Mexican Telefonica company and then can blacklist this IEMI so that the phone can never be used in Mexico ? Please guide me through this, I'd be eternally thankful.
I am really worried and I have had such a bad experience in Mexico, firstly at the international airport in Mexico City the shopkeepers tried to make me pay more than I should, then my phone is stolen.
Thanks in advance,
Sanjeev

I've never had to deal with this, thank goodness, but you can try contacting your carrier (if you used the phone on your line, they should have a record of the device) and have it blocked on your carrier's network. However, since it's not an official phone sold by the carrier, they may not make your request a priority. It's worth trying though! It's also worth trying (if you actually have the phone info- imei/serial) to contact the Canadian carrier with a report so it can't be sold & activated on their network again in the future.
I know, it's old thread, but it came up in Google results while I was researching my questions. What do you guys think, buying a carrier locked blacklisted phone in Canada, can it be unlock, make it sim free? and why assume it is stolen phone. A person bought used iPhone from kijiji, totally working phone. In a few days, original owner claims it as stolen and carrier black lists the phone (in Canada). The buyer now has no use of it in Canada. He can try to unlock (sim free) the phone and send it overseas, like Europe, or Asia. I don't see anything wrong here, just looking for your opinion. Thank you.
I believe parts of Europe have a blacklisting system in place so the imei should be checked before trying to network unlock the phone for use in another country.
Many people assume that a phone has been stolen because the imei has been blacklisted and, as you pointed out, this is not always the case.
I'm not 100% sure but some unlockers will not or cannot unlock a blacklisted phone.

bought a blocked Tmobile Note2 craigslist

Well I was dumb paid 350 for it great shape guy said it was factory unlocked n I could use my net10 service on it.
Well its locked and when I tried unlocking it I seen I had 4.1.2 and need 4.1.1 to sim unlock. My buddy put his sim card in phone from same company same phone and it would not register so he told me phone was blocked either not paid off or lost or stolen.
My question is what can I do. If I downgrade to 4.1.1 and unlock sim will it still not work?
Thanks.
There's not much you can do legally. Contact the seller would be a good idea. Threaten police or civil action against him.
The note 2 can act as a cracking little tablet but wifi only.
I don't think downgrading the firmware will unlock a blacklist phone. There are websites that you can check imei numbers in the uk have a look where you are and proove it's been lost or stolen first.

Tried to 4 whole week he wont answear!!!!! I have a net10 sim card figured it would work guess I got screwed out 400 bux.
I use CheckMEND. UK, USA and EU sites. One of tools i use to help avoiding dodgy gear
From 2nd November 2012 AT&T and T Mobile in the USA began blocking handsets by using the IMEI and sharing this information between them. This means that even if the sim card is changed the phone will not work on these two networks.
CheckMEND has access to this data

Sorry for your problems. This is why I never get anything off craigslist unless I personally know the person OR they hand it to me locally and I test it. Again, sorry. Likely lost or stolen.............

TMobile NOTE 3 - BAD IMEI works on Tmobile?

I'm a Canadian (Rogers) customer. I just picked up my TMobile (bad IMEI) Note 3, that I purchased off EBay, hoping to unlock it and use it on the Rogers Network back at home. I was told that the IMEI is bad. I'm staying here (USA) for a few days so I bought a TMobile Pay as you Go Sim for my Unlocked S4. Experimentally, I slipped the SIM card into the NOTE 3 that was supposed to have BAD IMEI, and it works!!! Is it supposed to? It's on 4.4.2, now i'm hearing its not unlockable.. true??? HELP HELP HELP!!
It's not supposed to. Keep using it and see what happens and report back to us
This worked to unlock mine. I'm on T - Mobile and I'm no longer carrier locked.

Try checking the imei on T-Mobile USA website it should tell you if bad, swappa lags behind on status. If it is bad it will probably take a month or or more to actually register on the network and get flagged

[Q] T-Mobile cell SIM in AT&T tab? Possible?

So long story short I can't figure this one out... I have a spare line (Tmobile) with truly unlimited data and I'd like to use it in a tablet. I have been told it's (impossible) by a tmobile store. This is the same store that told me I can't teather past 5gb until I told him I'm rooted and custom. I'd love to get a galaxy tab s on my unlimited data! Please advise.
P.S XDA is Awsome!!!
I have the TabS 8.4 T707 for AT&T. The tablet is SIM locked to AT&T but you can contact them for the unlock code if you paid full price for it. I bought mine from BestBuy and it took about two weeks for AT&T to get the unlock code to me. It was a big pain to get that code.
I'm using mine for international travel and it registers on the networks. Just check which LTE bands Tmobile uses.
Also, the tablet is on sale right now for $380 at BB.

Hi Lochniss,
How can you get ATT to provide you the unlock code? I tried device unlock request and ATTMobilitycare, and both said that the unlock code is not available.
I also bought the TabS from Bestbuy and unable to unlock it.
Regards.

vrance - I had to go through the "AT&T Chairman’s Office of Executive Escalations (ERT) team". I don't know if you can call 611 and ask for them??? I came into contact with them when I filled a BBB complaint stating ATT did not unlock my unsubsidized mobile device. I was rejected a couple of times but did not give up. Finally the person with ERT had Samsung USA contact Samsung Korea to get the code. I cannot understand why ATT does not have the code, but it blows my mind that Samsung Korea has it.
For everyone reading this... please be courteous and patient with these guys. They did not set up the ATT system nor do they have the solutions at their fingertips. As I am doing with the community, just guide them to the answer.... good luck.
There's much easier way if you have an active ATT account (phone account is OK). Just insert your ATT sim into your tab s, give it a few hours until ATT system update your phone information (you should be able to see tab s as your new phone in your online account page). By this time, your imei is in ATT database, you should now be able to request your unlock code thru their online system. It took less than 24hrs for me to get mine.

Hi Xiaonan80, thanks for your advice. Will try that route. Do u know if ATT prepaid SIM card is ok to let the IMEI is in the ATT database? I am not a ATT customer, but can try buying a prepaid SIM to try it out.

Unlocking the Grand N3

Hi, I am mentally challenged and needs one-on-one help. I want to unlock and release my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to switch to a government program carrier who also uses T-Mobile. The device is from T-Mobile. Right now, I am stuck with money, moving into low-income-housing apartment and I need help to stay connected. I've seen people somehow unlock and release their devices from cerriers before being paid in full. Please help me to do the same on here for my Note 3 then all I need to do is go to the store for goverment provider service to purchase a SIM card. My text is 405-593-8077 and I really need help, please. My only option is to buy a device at a pawn shop, which is scary cuz I dunno why they were pawned. The store has been waiting for a few weeks for S3 to arrive, so I either wait for the S3, or unlock to release my N3 or buy a device at a pawn shop. I need at least 1GB. Their Nokia Lumia 520 and iPhone 4 has 512mb of RAM. So my options are limited. I dunno why the S3 shipment from provider to warehouse are late. Help me on how to unlock, please. If ya don't want to text, then eMail at [email protected] is fine. I've had several one-on-one help here before. Please help.

Since the carrier you're talking about also uses T-Mobile, I'm about 90% sure the phone will not need to be unlocked to use the service. My T-Mobile N900T Note 3 isn't unlocked and I've tested all kind of carriers that utilize their service. Other than my contract SIM I've tested T-Mobile's prepaid, Family Mobile, and MetroPCS and all work perfect since they use the same service and can use identical APN's. However, if you do want to have the phone unlocked to make sure, it's very simple. As long as it's been active on your account for at least 40 days and the account is in good standing (no past due bill) then T-Mobile is obligated to provide you with an unlock code for it if you call and request it.
Now the part about releasing the device before the bill is paid in full, I'm pretty sure you will not have to do that either. That is unless you purchased it under their Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) and you're still paying for the phone. As long as you own the device then I do not believe they can Blacklist it at all. The only time they Blacklist them is for the EIP I explained, and you just stopped paying your bill, or if you reported it lost or stolen.

Go here and enter your IMEI number.
https://swappa.com/esn
It will tell you the status and if the phone is still clear to use or not.
