LG G4 WiFi issues - Verizon LG G4

Good evening all.
Has anyone with a G4 on VZW noticed issues with apps on wifi since the latest firmware update? I've called Verizon and been on the phone with them for HOURS to no avail.
The only time wifi works normally is in safe mode. When I'm on wifi, most apps just aren't functional at all. We thought it was some app in particular so we reset the phone and the issue persists. The only thing tech support suggests is giving me another refurbished G4 which will get us nowhere as the new G4 will just be running the same firmware.
This is problematic for me as I work in and out of different buildings on any given day. These buildings don't always provide the best reception. I clamored with Verizon for a different, comparable phone. I spoke with LG and their solution is me sending the phone in with the turnaround time being 5-7 business day which is also problematic as I don't have another phone to use. Verizon refuses to acknowledge it's an "issue" because it's not "wide spread". A quick search revealed that this problem is not limited to just me.
I've exhausted my options. I do not want to spend hours on the phone with Verizon again. I do not want to speak with LG for the same phone again. I simply want a working phone. This is the 3rd G4 that I've had that does not work. The 3rd G4 in almost as many months. What are my options here?
tl;dr This is my 3rd LG G4 that doesn't work and the latest firmware update broke the wifi functionality. Verizon refuses to acknowledge the issue and will only give me the same phone, not a comparable phone. What are my options?"

Yup. Since the update. Wifi on my phone is lagging horrendously.

Have you tried to contact VZW?

Yes, since the update I don't get any notifications while connected to WiFi. My WiFi is slow anyway, so I haven't noticed any lag that others are reporting.

I spoke with them again today. Their only option is to send the same phone again which isn't going to fix anything unfortunately.

Same problem here (and also with friends who have both VZW and the G4). This exact issue popped up on the LG G3, also after an update. Infuriating that they broke another otherwise good phone. The workaround is to install an app called DNSet. It sets the DNS to Google's, which fixes it.

I am using DNSet but still curious if it really works. I feel mobile data still more responsive...sigh.

I am having the same issues. doesn't matter which Wi-Fi network I'm on, it is terrible. Otherwise I love the phone, but this is getting really frustrating

Yeah I'm having the same issue. It's maddening!! Nothing comes through unless I manually sync or have to open the app to get it to sync. How is this an acceptable software update for verizon - who usually requires a high level of quality control on software updates??

The Update broke Notifications over WiFi. It has something to do with IPv6. Verizon PULLED the update because this is a major problem.
Either call Verizon and have them replace the phone (you will get the older firmware 11A back on it)
OR
The fix is to download DDNS or something (It is a VPN service) that routes ALL internet traffic over IPv4 connections. I forget the specific name, but it is being heavily discussed in the "VERIZON UPDATE" forum in the General section.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-g4/general/update-verizon-t3221673
Read the thread, I think toward the end more.

Give this solution a shot, and what router (make/model) do you have exactly?
You can fix this issue without root by using the app DNSet from the Google Play store. You hit 1 button (the one and only button), and it turns off IPv6, and problem solved.

[Q] AT&T galaxy s3 can't check for OTA updates?

Literally every time i check for software updates i get
"Communication failed"
The server is currently unavailable.
Your device will automatically check for an update within the next 48 hours.
Then if i check again it says device is up to date, you can check for updates again in XXhours. If i go into application manager -> AT&T Software Update and clear data, i can check for updates again but i get the same communication failed. I also tried clearing data and rebooting phone, and it still wont check.
And i can't get Samsung Kies running on my windows 7 pc for some reason, so i can't get updates from there either.
Is anyone else on AT&T experiencing these problems? Any fix for this? I really want that update that adds brightness control to the notification menu.

I did not update, but hearing that update would disable local search, add new modem. Nothing about Brightness control
There is no brightness control on ATT update. I was having the same problem you were and exchanged the phone. There is no fix as far as I know for the error you are getting. It is a common issue. Search the annoyances (bugs) thread.
I don't know if the OTA update resolves your issue because they day after I exchanged mine the update came out.

I also haven't been able to get the OTA update. I assumed it was because I rooted and the device is listed as 'modified'. Is the update worth it?
It is in my opinion, and my usage habbits, for the WiFi stability increase that is gained.
Universal search is stripped (searches conducted on phone do not include on device results, ie contacts).
In other words, if you use the Google search by long pressing your menu button the results from your search will only be pulled from the internet.
I rarely use the search built in, so it hardly mattered to me.
Check out the developer forum for ways around the universal strip if you are rooted and want to update.

Well i reseated the SIM card, and removed the little blue tape from the sd slot and the SIM slot, rebooted and still not working.
I wanted to avoid rooting, since the stock software runs so smoothly and i liked being on the latest at&t software. I guess since i can't get OTA updates now theres no reason not to root.
Will this issue be fixed eventually? Or would i be better off exchanging phones while i can?
I'd exchange it. If you have faulty hardware then rooting won't do anything for you.
Peace of mind, if anything, that if you decide to root your phone is functioning as it should from the start.
Others will argue it's software issues.
But, whatever the cause, none of us paid to have a 90% functioning phone from the factory. Go get what you paid for is my take on it.
Good luck.

Well speaking as a software engineer, i'm almost certain its a software issue, most likely with at&t's software update app, or on their servers. Mabey reinstalling the at&t software update application will help?
It sounds reasonable to me. Maybe try the method for No trip flash counter in devoplment? You would be upgrading to the newest firmware and have root and not trip the flash counter. You would still be able to check for ota updates (although should just return the status of your software is up to date since it is a totally stock ROM just with root injected). I imagine that would reinstall the software update service. Although with your knowledge you are way over my head. And whether or not when updating ROMs if that application is reinstalled is something I can't answer.
Maybe just try this first:
Settings> Application Manager> All> AT&T Software Update> Clear Data> Confirm
Power off Phone
Remove battery for at least thirty seconds.
Reinstall battery and power on device.
Try again after device boots up.

I've been having this same problem
I was thinking that its because of AT&T's controlled release of the OTA.
Its been so long since the release, that I can't imagine that's still true. I also agree that its probably a software thing. I have a number of the bloat apps disabled and also wonder if one or more of those would interfere with such a thing.
I'd love to hear about a resolution.

That's an interesting theory, I've disabled some boatware too. Have you tried enabling them? I'm going to try that now.

So, if it's a software issue why is it two identical devices running the same software from the factory yield different results? I.e. my first device would do exactly as your original post outlines, then my replacement device had no issue checking for updates (same stock software, same device form factor).
If you search there are a lot of examples of complaints of this exact issue.
I am also very interested in this because even though there are many complaints out there, the only answers seem to be;
1) who cares this is xda and we update through Odin/cwm etc...
2) replace it.
Good luck, I hope you guys find an answer.

I haven't tried enabling everything. I've tried enabling 'Samsung Push' which seemed like the likely starting point. I've been trying to do some debug on some battery drain things, so I've been hesitant to change too much at once. Also, I can basically only check every 24 hours so its slow going.
As far as the hardware issue, it just doesn't make too much sense that a hardware issue would be causing a problem because the software update would presumably be using the same hardware as the rest of the working smartphone functions. I think the explanation to one device updating and one not is more likely a server device id filtering or a user changing more than 'just the new hardware'.
Its neither here nor there though. Everyone will have there hair brained theories. Why don't we start asking what features will be on the next iphone. Seriously though, apple has to add a removable battery right? (I'm just kidding, please don't spam a million responses about how that will or will not ever happen.)

You can bypass the wait time between checks by going into application managment -> at&t software update and clearing data. Then you can try to update again.

I've had similar issues checking for updates. i gave up and pulled the first update with the USALG1 rom posted in the development forum sticky. I too have several apps disabled (actually moved out of the system/app dir) and was wondering if that possibly caused issues. I never did try updating through kies though.
My kies wont even run on my windows 7 64 bit. There seems to be alot of people having problems with kies on win7 64 bit, nothing from samsung either. So theres really no way for me to get updates
This is How I Got My Phone to Update
I should add that this was my 2nd galaxy s3 to not update. I did a factory reset hoping it would fix the issue. It didn't. I called att customer care for help b/c I was thinking maybe they just set up my account incorrectly when I first got the phone. Nothing else really makes sense. They said they couldn't help and take it to the store. I took it to an att store, and they said they don't actually do any software troubleshooting, so they just exchanged it for a new one. I tried doing the update there, it failed, so I took it home, and I force closed all the update apps, cleared all their data, and it worked as soon as I hit update. If force closing and clearing the data from the att and samsung update apps doesn't help, There may be nothing else you can do except take it in to an att shop.

When you got it to work, exactly what apps did you force close and clear data? Just AT&T software update? Any others?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
I force closed the At&T Software Update app and I think the Samsung Push Service. It is really the AT&T software update app that finally started downloading immediately after trying it again.
So I finally attempted the Keis connection and it worked immediately. I don't know what other problems people are having, but when I installed it on my Win7 x64 machine I had the S3 connected. After I ran the software for the first time it mentioned an update and proceeded to update it. Keep fighting the good fight jefferson9.

Note 3 WiFi Permissions issue

Got a Note 3 right after they came out.
Had an issue with the first one, not the least of which was the pervasive WiFi disconnect issue many of us have been seeing; in my case also had extreme battery drop all of a sudden - like 45% in an hour - not abnormal use.. So, swapped it about 20 days ago for another one.
Seeing the same WiFi connectivity issue I saw with the first one and then all of a sudden got a pop up :
"Prevention Information"
An application has been forced to stop for an unauthorized attempt to access system in your device. It may be safe to delete an application obtained from an unauthorized route. Check Now? (with a Do not show for 30 days check box; Cancel or Ok buttons)
If you click cancel pop up comes back after about 10 mins more or less; if you click Ok you get brought to a list of what you have downloaded to weed through whatever you've installed.
Full disclosure: This device is out of the box, not rooted; stock Rom. Only none play store apps installed were Adobe Flash and Amazon App store. I use WiFi extensively for WiFi calling at my office, since there isn't a carrier on the planet can get me a decent signal. I live and die behind WiFi calling it's why I went T-Mobile to start with.
* So I proceed to scan hell out of this, using Lookout, Sophos and MalwareBytes can't find anything..
* Ok so I uninstall everything I've been experimenting with thinking maybe the mix is a problem. Doesn't solve it
* So then I do a software Backup and restore - and go to put back the one app I need the most for my Hosted Exchange connectivity to work the best for my needs adding them back one at a time to see what's causing this . Of course I turn WiFi back on to connect to my network and signing into my Google Account Google Play takes off to restore all my stuff and do all updates for anything stock on the phone. (Phone Vendors WAKE UP; Stop making the default Google Play behavior Up Date Automatically when on WiFi, let the user decide before taking off to do what you think is best) And - The pop up is back just as I get the 1 app I need on the phone. (email support for the app saying it's them - MANY APOLOGIES to Nitro Desk, it's not them.
* Very long story and many soft and hard resets, to try control the behavior, later; including running 2 miles up the road to control Google Play auto update on WiFi, but, only be on the T-Mobile network for the initial startup....
With nothing but a minimal start-up and No Apps installed other than what Google Play demanded to be able to work at all out of the box when signing in; once I got the phone back to the office and started WiFi for my network - Blammo ! the pop up is back.
This "error" or warning message is from the base Android/Samsung/T-Mobile deployment configuration for a Note 3 when starting WiFi at all.
So, I happen to be near the T-Mobile store I bought this at and go in to tell them about this and the guys there running a Note 3 say they all get the same issue.
My conclusion is that this is a miss-configuration of software and/or permissions at the core OS level when starting WiFi; likely contributing or the primary cause of WiFi connectivity issues on this device; as reported in this and other forums.
I have screenies of this condition and would love to pass this to T-Mobile and Samsung engineering, but, unlikely I can get at them to do so; hopefully they are already aware of this and working on a fix.
The other interesting thing I noticed is that when doing a hard reset: during the start of recovery mode I get an "error" then no command message under the little droid as it settles down to the menu.
Also at the end of the recovery mode process for wipe data/factory reset I get an "error" message in red as well.
Again, seems to me there's a serious flaw in their Core programming setting up proper permissions for the base WiFi stack to start without triggering a security violation.
It doesn't matter if you connect to an AP or not. Just starting WiFi the pop up will come up in 60 - 90 seconds.
This is consistently reproducible.
T-Mobile is sending me another phone; but, I believe it will behave the same way - hope not, we'll see.

That may be, but, in this case it is 100% reproducible under these conditions and happens if WiFi is turned on at all before any updates and before any additional apps are installed, other than the ones the Play store insists on bringing in to work properly once initially signing in, happens to me in this very limited and controlled startup of the device and only when starting WiFi and no other time in that controlled condition; before any updates or Play Store apps are installed.
It also happens after they are; so it seemed,to me at least, to have value because of the controlled diagnostic startup; since the condition is 100% reproducible using these steps and under these limited initial startup conditions, at least on the device I have in my hands at the moment.
A replacement should be here sometime today and will attempt to reproduce it on the replacement; T-Mobile tech support seems to think it will behave the same way as well; FWIW to anyone.
Thanks so much for the input and advice; duly noted.
Best regards,

Knock yourself out....
You might try doing a simple Google Search for samsung "Prevention Information" and see just how many threads there are about this issue. It is not just the Note 3 but a number of other Samsung devices as well.
Actually it has everything to do with wifi. Knox is thinking wifi is trying to collect information from your device as if it is a type of virus. Samsung is fully aware of the issue & there is an update coming based around that specific issue.

+1 Thank you slpn...
I'm glad to hear there's some fix in the works. Do you have a link handy for that? It's clear that the shipped Knox/SEAndroid configuration shipped on this device (and perhaps other Samsung models) really wasn't tuned very well before release.
OP, if you want to know more about this read some of the other threads here about Knox - the Everything Knox thread in this forum is pretty good IIRC, and the Samsung Knox whitepaper is an interesting read too (here). Basically, Samsung rolled their own solution for bring-your-own-device enterprise users, which is based in part on the SELinux extensions to Android (SEAndroid) along with some lower-level supervisory logic that's probably somewhere in the boot loader / modem / etc. [speculation] and some degree of hardware support such as the "knox warranty void" flag.
Unfortunately they developed this alongside/outside the reference implementation of SEAndroid, wrote their own APIs for interaction, etc. and don't seem to have done it terribly well. I'm tempted to ask that Samsung provide some way to actually control it, or provide a signed development FW that won't trip the hardware flag, as it really is an intrusion for non-enterprise customers. >.<

Yes it's a bug but it's not really that big of an issue. I can almost guarantee it will be fixed soon with some kind of minor update.
Well I have two other issues besides the "prevention information" for some reason my note 3 keeps giving me a unstable wifi connection when the connection to the wifi is good for example on my note 2 is perfect mo issues no lags on the note 3 however I get that unstable wifi connection, and for my second issue I get a damn google+ app crash every time im on the phone or any app . I think I had the unstable connection problem a long time ago. I may have made my phone "forget" my wifi network and obviously have connected to it since and have not have that problem. So it's possible simply "forgetting" the network, scanning, and then connecting to it again could fix it?
How often do you use Google+? Is it possible that if you hardly use it you could just sign out of the app and then it won't search for your location so much? I see the new G+ update says something about refreshing friends location more often or something, could be tied in to that?
I dont use google+ at all. It updated on its own and it started crashing since. I just turnt off all my auto updates and I uninstalled the last google+ update lets see if that does the trick .

You can take it how you'd like cause i know how some are when they hear about an update, not saying your one of these people who flame on the other person who try to provide helpful info about an update, but that is also being included in the update i spoke of a few posts above.
What is going on is your phone is scanning your signal & even if you have a full WiFi signal, instead of just leaving you on WiFi like you'd like, it boots you off of WiFi saying internet is unstable if it considers the data connection as being a stronger signal. its a real ignorant move and overlook they made when adding this function. if on WiFi they should let you choose if you want to change connections,or better yet not even bother you to choose between the 2 cause it will interfere with what your doing at that time while you have to choose which connection you want to use. But this is involved with the update we are getting. Verizon already got an update that had to do with WiFi issues with this being one of the issues it fixed.
If you haven't been told yet though, go in to WiFi advanced settings in your WiFi connections menu, and turn off auto connect & always scanning, then dial *#0011#, click your bottom left button on the white part of the phone you'd usually use to bring up the settings menu option, choose WiFi, turn off WiFi power save mode, WiFi power save mode being tuned off cause your battery to drain about 25% faster but this is proven to work. But after a day or 2 always leave WiFi auto connect off & always scanning off, but you can then dial *#0011# & turn WiFi power save mode back on & it's almost as if those functions done together trains your phone to not boot you off WiFi anymore. This seriously works and definitely helps many i have offered the information to. Me and about 3 others figured out how to do this in a thread about 2wks after the phone was released because the wifi booting us off was killing us. People had told us to just turn off auto connect but that would just stop the pop up, but you'd still be getting booted off from WiFi but just wouldn't be told by the pop up yet you'd know because the page you'd be loading on the browser would just stop loading, or say something your using like Facebook would lose signal & tell you an error occurred. Hope this large posts helps you if you read it or anyone else who stumbles upon it.

You have to actually go into the Google+ app to see if you are signed in, unfortunately it will automatically sign you in if you are not already. So even if you accidentally open G+ or some other program or app causes it to open, you still need to actually sign out of it. Hopefully uninstalling the updates does the trick.

This will not wipe anything on your phone. It will simply reset your mobile network connection and force OTA provisioning.
By chance are you running AdBlock Plus? As it will block those from updateing.

Nope, I wish it was that easy
If you have another device laying around, try going onto Sprint.com and do a service swap to it. Then service swap back to this one. If you do not have one, you might need to call Customer Care to have them try it with a dummy device.
I recall having an issue similar to this on my wife's device. I don't remember exactly what I had to do to resolve it, but I did get it fixed.
Update in case anyone had the same problem. I called Sprint and got the run around until they finally said it was a hardware issue (ie: my phone) and not a network problem.
I decided to just live with it (and without WiFi hotspot) for a while. Then magically it started working again a couple of days ago. I bet it has something to do with the Sprint network being worked on that the techs were just clueless about. Seems to me that Sprint takes its sweet old time upgrading its towers.

Network Error, Please Try Again Later
I have had that issue for sometime now too. I only discovered it because my phone downloaded the ZVD update and for it to install properly it requires to update the profile first. I have the same "network error, please try again later" on both PRL and Profile. Spent about an hour with a higher level tech on the phone trying all types of things with no success. When I install the ZVD update it breaks the phone and wont receive calls and requires a push from sprint to reactivate. Every time I reboot now It attempts to do a hands free activation and fails but it is working. Last time this happened (ZVC update) I had to wipe the phone to fix it which I'm not in the mood for anytime soon. I've been waiting for a decent ROM with WiFi calling built in.

Yeah, old thread but thanks as this just helped me out. This is for my LG G4 by the way.
Thanks.
This is a common problem with Sprint. It's not your fault or the phone's fault. It's Sprint's rat butt network acting out. There's nothing that you, the techs you call (even if you get lucky and get a U.S.-based representative), or anybody else can do. The phone will keep trying to activate itself every few minutes until it finally does get through. Then you're set to go, except of course for the dropped calls, missed or delayed text messages, and 500k data speeds (on their alleged LTE network). That's assuming that one of the Sprint bloatware apps doesn't decide to freeze/soft-brick your phone.
There's a reason that Sprint is virtually giving away their services (i.e. the half-off your previous bill, free activation, and pay the early termination fee for the other carrier). They're Number 4 of the 4 major carriers, and that's not likely to change in the near future, because most of the MVNO's latch onto Sprint, which further burdens the resources they do have.
couldn't have said it better myself...then I keep asking myself why am I still with sprint!
THANK YOU! It was Adblock causing the error. Took me some time to find this answer.

"vzwavsservice" FCs

Hello -- I was trying out a MDM in the office on my G3, and after disassociating my device with it, I started getting FCs on "vzwavsservice". Mainly when the phone boots up. I can't really find any information online as to what this actually does. I have just disabled it. I have not noticed anything different or malfunctioning on my G3.
Anyone have any ideas what it could be? Obviously it is some sort of VZ Addon...But wondering what its functionality or reasoning is.
Thanks in advance.

I'll be honest. After I posted this, and I froze/disabled this "Service"...I haven't noticed anything not working or acting funny. I would say this is safe to disable. It is likely some type of Verizon add-on.
If you do disable it and see something act up, let me know. Would love to know what it does lol. But for now -- Mine remains disabled. :good:

Try opening the verizon mobile application (the app you would use to check your data...etc)...
Does that give you an error after logging in?
I think that is what it is for...
I started getting this today too. Most of my Verizon stuff is frozen however. Wonder if VZW is pushing an OTA today. Those of us getting it, are we all rooted?
I just got this force close today after updating some apps on the play store. Posting in the Verizon LG G3 section might get more responces.

Me, too.....?
Rooted, got this. Frozen, no more problem. I'm betting it's a silent update service.
It appears to be conflict with new Google+ update
Got it this morning, not rooted (yet.....)

You can disable the VZWAVSService without being rooted. Which likely means it is really really pointless.
I get it sometimes on stock unrooted, but also always when I have stuck a T-Mobile or ATT sim in the Verizon LG G3.
VZWAVSService caused by Google+ Update
The VZWAVSService error ceased when I went to application manager and uninstalled the Google+ updates.
Once the updates were uninstalled, my mobile hotspot and USB tether functions returned.
It seems that this service is an address verification process. This explains why, when my phone checked my subscription status for Mobile Hotspot and Tethering service, the functions did not activate.

My hotspot service works with VZWAVSService disabled. I do not think that hotspot and this app are related since I had also disabled this service on my Galaxy S3 for months and the hotspot service still worked the entire time.
I have a Verizon LG G3. I just uninstalled the Google+ updates and reverted back to an "Original Version" to see if that goofy message will cease to continue. I am rooted and i have Wifi Tether Router installed. I used Stump Root to root the device.

Just freeze the app, you can even do it in the stock settings. Vzwavservice-Verizon's anti virus software that McAfee makes and it is strait garbage.
The 11c update fixed this issue?
After flashing beans 11c and using if for a while I realized that I had not re-frozen vzwavsservice. It isn't closing on boot anymore. I believe Verizon fixed this issue in the latest software release.

Just updated to 24.31.22 9/30/2016

Hey All was just update to 24.31.22. I think I am in a beta group. Anyhow Wifi calling is now part of the Droid 2 along with unspecified security and bug fixes..
Cool. Looking forward to it. Still just 6.0? Or 6.0.1?
Is there a new modem to go with the update? My biggest complaint ATM with my Turbo 2 is random hang-ups with the radio where nothing wants to load, or random stutters in audio when streaming music.

Yes just tried it
Have anyone experienced problem updating to the latest ota ? Mine stops with error and restarts after then it shows update not successful!
It's showing available for me now, I saw something posted about it over the weekend. Latest security patches and WiFi calling. 623 MB's, update it on WiFi.

Update installed ok for me, up to the Sept patches and 6.0.1 as mentioned. I can't get WiFi calling to enable yet.
Edit: I had to re-enable the disabled Verizon apps I shut down when I "debloated" the phone to get the WiFi set up to work. I read you just need Verizon Login but that didn't work so I turned everything back on, set it up and disabled them again. Just a tip if you disabled apps.
Update installed fine here as well. I don't care about it too much ATM though because my Nexus 6 just got 7.0.0
Just updated myself and activated wifi calling. I get marginal service at my house so it's a plus for me

It seems updating fine with everyone, my dt2 won't update for some reason.
For some reason I haven't even gotten the update ftw?

Anything happen if you tell the phone to check for updates under Settings, System Updates?
The radio issues that I was hoping were fixed are still there. Random times where there is no network connectivity despite having a decent 4G signal. I've also had times where I just randomly loose 4G and go back to 3G for a short period for no reason, then 4G just magically comes back. Never had the same issues with my Nexus 6, so I know it is a phone issue. Wife has the T2 as well, and she has random network issues as well.
I have noticed with mine yesterday that it wouldn't send a text while it had good 4g service a few times. A reboot fixed it. Only issue, besides battery life not being as good as I feel a phone like this should be, is when I am in my car either playing a podcast/music over Bluetooth and I pull into my driveway and connect to my wifi network my Bluetooth disconnects from my car and then after like 20 seconds reconnects. Not a huge issue. Just annoying. It's happened since the original marshmallow install though and FDR doesn't fix it.

I got the update like a week before my wives phone. It's that that called a soak test?
I finally got the update today. But then again I have found OTA updates very inconsistent.
Not sure if it's because my Turbo 2 knows that it's getting replaced or what, but I've had several radio related issues over the past 2-3 days. Loosing network connectivity, slow connectivity, bluetooth skips, etc. Issues I've never expected to have from a Motorola device. Thankfully my backup Motorola phone, the Nexus 6 works fine without these issues. Just need to hold myself over until my Pixel XL shows up.
I have had some weird issues after the update also. I took the update and could not get Wi-Fi calling to work. So Verizon told me to factory reset the phone. Now my Wi-Fi calling is enabled however the call Quality is poor with or without HD voice, and everytime I reboot my phone it boots to the AP fastboot screen. Then I have to press the power button to start and it will Start Up Normally.
Any thoughts on this one.
BTW, they are sending me a replacement device and I'm probably going to be upgrading to the Pixel XL anyways
