Will the 5x take burst photos? - Nexus 5X Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

It says the 5x doesn't have 'Smart burst' but will it still take photos in burst?
I haven't seen anyone else mention this at all but in seems like an obvious question!
I would assume yes,but it would be nice to know for sure!

Probably not with the stock camera app.

Ah. So burst shot but know "smart burst" feature? I'm fine with that.
Sent from my Sprint Galaxy S5.

Holding the button down for me does nothing. Once I let it go it takes only 1 picture.

I take my statement back, I keep confusing the 6p and 5x forum. It does not do burst on the 5x

[POLL]Did you know that holding power will do a hard shut down?

Why bother taking your case off, or wearing out the battery cover clips, or move more the necessarily?
This has never failed me.
Yes. To be honest, though, I always thought that it was power+volume up.
nope, just one button.

I actually just assumed it did.. Every other piece of computer technology I own does this.

I don't believe you
Holding it down for around 10 seconds will also do a soft reboot.
You can also open up your dialer and punch in *#350# to do a full reboot.
Thanks for the tip, as a new E4GT and Droid user all these tips and tricks are helpful!
you would think this would be a universal feature on all electronics by now.

Wait, what? This is news to people? Every phone and computer I've ever owned does this. And it's listed in the manual for our phone. I'm sorry, is this supposed to be a joke I'm missing or something?
I'm sure it's to inform people who didn't know.

When people are shocked that you can "quickly and easily" adjust the brightness of your screen by sliding your finger across the notification menu, then yes, this is definitely ground-breaking news.
Any owner's manual typically holds a few nuggets of awesome like this.

small black dot on GNex screen?

I woke up this morning and noticed what seems to be a dead or stuck pixel on my screen.
It's on the left side of the screen (center).
What do?
you can try one of the dead pixel remover apps on google play. if they dont work then you might be able to get a replacement via warranty

I know cameras seem antiquated with all this technology these days but its still the only way to take a picture.

I was just busting your balls, no offence. Try placing the phone on a white background with the brightness set low (on the phone) and use manual focus and manual exposure settings.

So Page Buddy works with custom launchers like Nova? I thought Page Buddy was part of the Touch Wiz launcher.
As long as touch wiz frame work is there it works. I am not sure custom roms would work. I tried it and played w the s pen before I replied to the previous question.

Doesn't the Galaxy S III use the exact same sensor as the GN2? Should be able to look at plenty examples from that.

Multiview files found in verizon stock image!

There is a system image for the verizon galaxy note 2 that has been posted and is available for download. Users that have downloaded the system image have reported finding multiview files inside the package. Maybe when our stock image is released and available for download we will have the multiview files as well. This could be a good thing for the developers.
The article is on droid-life.com and is titled
"Software image for verizons samsung galaxy note 2 available for download"
Check it out!

I've heard AT&T, Sprint & Verizon are working on multiview so is T-Mobile also working on it?
What about the screen recorder function?
Excellent news. To me this means that if Verizon's GN2s have it then maybe the official OTA is around the corner?

Ok well while I was drawing there is a small red "record" button at the top and wheb I finished drawing I pressed it again and it saved to clipboard....then when I went back into snote there was a file that looked like any other snite file...ckicked it and it replayed the whole act of drawing all the scribbles like I drew.
Is that what screen record is?
However I donot have multiview thats for sure

According to the sticker on the box, mine was manufactured China 2013.07
Same problem for me too. Completely stock.
Tried it today:
No probs on mine . . .
Batch 2013-08 China, bought in Germany
Just wondering, particularly if photo sphere isn't working on your nexus 7 2013, if you install AccelermoterTest does the ball move to the bottom left corner - even when the device is on flat ground? Mine does... maybe hardware fault?
