I've got a new desire EYE, and I'm really excited about android development, previusly I've followed the HTC one s forum (but two weeks ago someone stole my beloved device), I'm not a developer, I'm just curious and I want to learn.
This is my first post in this forum and before going on I want to say that I really appreciate all the efforts made by developer, so I want to contribute, in my little.
After flashing this rom and look in the catlog to find out something about the front camera bug I've found that was missing a lib and that the camera button wasn't working... So this is my fix!
- for the camera button: just add

in /system/usr/keylayout/device-keypad.kl
- the front camera: the catlog say that lib "libhtc_humanprocess.so" was missing in system/lib
push this lib from /data/app/com.htc.camera-1/lib/arm/ and voilà the camera is working!
I would like to post this in the tread, but this is my first post, hope I can help in the future
I would ask if someone could point me some tips about building kernel for this device, i will be very grateful

Wow thank you so much for the help and i hope this can enable camera for android development for the HTC EYE. it is such a cool device yet support is little due to the camera.

See as I have explain I can't use any of my cameras without short circuiting my battery. So I have my ribbons disconnected , that's why I couldn't fix it myself.... But my question is did you push my camera fixes and then libhtc_humanprocess.so or what... Next rom update already has GPS fixed. Just need to narrow down the camera issue .

Wish i could be a little more savy and assist you. I tried your rom with the camera fix. (that work with back camera but front one freezes) and tried running ADB from my pc and it gave me an "Access denied". when i tried using LOGCAT, it told me it could not write a log.txt file.
Does your rom have read and write permission enabled? what do you suggest?

I've flashed camera camera fix 2 and after that i've pushed the missing lib (i've noticed that it was missing also in the rom zip)
Can I ask one question about s-off?
I remember that I've s-off my one s (about two years ago) because if the phone is still s-on is impossible to flash kernel directly from recovery (and it must be done using fastboot). After flashing your rom my device was stuck in recovery and it want boot after forcing reboot.. I tried to flash charm kernel zip from recovery and the phone boot.. so my question is: I still have to flash kernel by fastboot? just for information
However i'm running insertcoin rom from about five hours and it's incredible fast and smooth! Everything is working aside GPS, but if you said that you alredy have a fix that's a great news!

Did you flash the rom and then camera fix 2 then booted and pushed lib.... Or did you flash ic , boot it, then flash camera fix 2 and then push lib?

Hy i was able to copy the files using X-plorer. it seems to be working now!!!!!!!!. I wonder if it will be long before Marshmellow 6.0 is out for the m8 and maybe a rom Insercoin for us as well.

Try InsertCoin 1.1.0 , has fixes like :
- GPS
- Both cameras working
- Camera Button working
- Fixed incompatible issue with some sense 7 apps in play store
- updated sense home , ime, and lock screen / ported tweaks
- and more that I can't remember....

jajajaj i just finished reinstalling all the apps jajja can i just update or a fresh install? also, why cant i change in version 1.0 boomsound from music to theather like with my m8 sense? thanks for everything. you have revived support for our awesome HTC EYE.

Hi, I've just flash the 1.1v, but gps is still not working... The device says something like "gps is not present in the device"

My gps works ok on the same rom, the only issue i have is that if I am connected to LTE I can not receive phone calls, the go straight to voicemail, I can still call

so my device can't even recognize the gps chip, the problem was at driver level
the lib is gps.default.so I take one from a sense 7 rom from htc m8 and gps works!
now I can use your rom as daily driver

I don't know if bonesy still go on with the port, he don't have a Hero anymore.
But if he does still port the rom i will change the name then.

Just flashed and it seems to be running fine! will just test it further. but...
IMPORTANT:
i've just realised an important step in porting this might be to find the commit in the CM source tree that made the animations so smooth on the hero again, this might solve the problems with the ui being laggy. I seem to remember reading "textview_setlimit" somewhere? erasmux might be a better authority on this.

i did try to login but with no luck, in 0.21 it worked for me.

I tried this ROM this morning. I get the Sense restarts too. But I think when the restarts are fixed this ROM will be very nice indeed.

For anyone, like me, that needs this ROM signed, here's an uploaded copy on Fileserve: SebastianFM 0.3-signed.
The ROM is so much faster and more stable than the last release, so props to the DEVs on this, however with Rosie constantly crashing... Great Alpha release, alright Beta, but wouldn't recommend for everyday use just yet.

Even with LV kernel? LV kernel makes taking photos impossible. Camcorder works, but not camera.
I didn't flash the rom, just saying that you should add that to the main post. It's not a problem with your rom, but with the kernel itself.

Probably the LV version used is the official one, which max supported mega-pixel format is 3mp for higher than 2.1 sense roms.
This one is quite stable. When going to larger photo mp's, 5, it might cause hangs.
The newer unofficial one supports 5mp even for newer sense roms.
Heya... I do have the unofficial version. Made sure I commented on the bugs I experienced on your thread.
Truthfully is that atm I managed to take a 5MP picture. It still doesn't work at all times.
I checked and the resolution is set on 3.2 max in the camera so that's working fine
It seems that I also have some call issues sometimes xd. I think I need someone who's more experienced then me who can help me out with kernel support...

And this Rom doesn't look different then salsa sense. the only thing rate different is the build.prop. I concidder my Rom a bit faster but a bit more unstable.. somethings need to be fixed when I know how

Is it JB? If so, they might have ripped off Andromadous team a bit (no roms based on test builds policy/wish). Then again, Chinese. MIUI started pretty much as CM rip-off violating GPL.

Everything as expected except one strange screen after first boot. I had to remove the battery... because this strange screen (a rectangular shape, like a cell phone, with android logo inside) was covering the lockscreen and I couldn't get rid of it! :cyclops:
After that everything seems to be just fine...

Goto settings/display, turn off the last option, this screen will not be displayed again!
I've just flash it, but where is the google play store/gmail, it is missing.I remember that china rom doesn't have gapps. which one should i to flash?

Hey guys, please notice that the rom is not official, I just ported it from the offcial MIUI for DS. Also there is some bugs such as wifi hotspot etc. I will be very appreciate if anyone can help me get rid of the bugs or add more English support!

I found what was the strange screen appeared after first boot! "Prevent misoperation"!
I had to disable it (Settings - Display) because the unlock combination (Back + Volume Up) doesn't work...

well seems like this too have the battery drain while listening to music through headphones problem.
im not suprised actually, because its 3.0.41 kernel. all roms with this kernel will have this problem untill Flemmard fixes it.
Oh man, i was about to go ask on Q/A if all the miui roms for our phones have been discontinued/are there any left. because i'm getting tired of stock ICS/nova launcher. And now here's this, looks promising. Might flash tonight or wait for next update if theres smth missing here. This does come in English right?

the lock screen default is not working, i see in the security that no style. how about choosing lock screen become pin or pattern?
by the way i have some comments about application which need root access. we must manually go to security,permission then allow all. there is no prompt for root access
Nice rom. I now using it, but it sometimes work not smooth.
I haven't had any problems with it yet, definitely my dd right now. Its smooth.

I'm constantly working on builds. The current, and the only goal I'll be striving towards as of now is using a T-Mo HTC One X ROM in combination with RaymanFX's CM10.1 RC2 build.
XDA RC @abcdjdj has reported that he has fixed a lot of errors in his build, and is now stuck at the bootanimation. If you can help him in any way, here is what's wrong with his build. He's using FXP's CM9 as a base and a 4.0 HTC One X with Sense 4 ROM as a port.
The OP will constantly be updated with any progress anyone makes.
We're currently using this XDA thread to help us port the ROM.

Bro, it may be possible to get Sense on our devices. Even I have been working on getting Sense booted on our device. My status:-
PORTED FROM - HTC ONE X
BASE - FXP 215 CM9
STATUS - Gets past kernel and even loads bootanimation. Fixed many errors in the logcat. Gets stuck at bootanimation and even displays a message saying that System is not responding, would you like to close it.
I couldn't manage to fix any more errors in the logcat so I gave up but you have rekindled my spirit to get Sense booting on out device. I will upload my rom soon along with the logcat.

On a not-so-very related note, your port was of ICS and Sense 4 , correct?

Not fully booting but I think close to booting. I followed the guide mentioned by you in the OP and one by one eliminated all errors that I could eliminate. I had been working on Sense for around a month during my school holidays but now I am not getting any free time. And yes it is Sense 4 (Android 4.0.4).

Especially the graphics, those must be out of control on your ROM...
If I were you, I'd at least take the AT&T version of the HOX.
Oh yeah, I forgot to ask: is it the same if I try and port from a MSM8260 board (the same as the Xperia) and the later S4 Qualcomm versions (used in the Xperia T, AT&T One X etc.)? Because porting from a CDMA phone (HTC Rezound) seems to make the work harder...
Thankfully, my summer holidays have just begun, so I have plenty of free time (that's also the reason I started my project).

Yeah, maybe that's exactly what I should do. Ditch the CDMA phone and start with the Snapdragon S4 One X!

Well, I thought I'd make this thread so that devs could help each other to actually work together and create a working Sense ROM. So naturally, all help is welcome from anyone.
Anyways, I'm on my way to finishing yet another try, this time with the AT&T One X. Fingers crossed that it at least makes it to the bootanimation.
EDIT: I see that the easiest way to get Gapps is with including the default /data folder from the original HTC ROM (with vending, youtube etc.). But I have to add that to the updater-script. So, I want to ask, is /dev/block/mmcblk0p14 the data partition on the Nozomi?

Hi,
I am porting [or trying to port] Sense 4 from HTC One X to Xperia S. I used FXP 214 CM9 as a base. I followed this guide - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2245786
Then I fixed as many errors as I could by checking the logcat and got it till the Bootanimation. But now I need help to get it to boot. So, I have attached the logcat from my latest build.

3g not working and apn keeps unloging me from network, when disabled no probs except no internet... Any ideas?
E: switched wifi hotspot on and disabled adb and it worked...
E2: guess it is just usb debbuging, works fine with bouth off
E3: had some more weird issues then reinstalled rom and all works fine now. I love it, fast and stable. [emoji2]
Hi, i have got this rom for 2 weeks. At the beginning it was fast etc. Now it cant even kepp launcher in memory? When i want to open any app for few mins, then i wan to back to homescreen it is loading all apps and widgets.. Also i cant back to my apps which i used few seconds/minutes ago cuz it's loading like a new open. When i had viperx 4.2.2 it could keep uc browser and some pages for few weeks, and when i wanted to open, it took 1 second for me. Now im feeling like on my 1st galaxy spica.
Is that normal?

Second Q, are videos in browsers woring ok for You? I have to restart HOX sometimes if i want to watch someting. And is there any solution to watch videos like on PC? I mean, my player is everywhere the same. It's annoying becouse, sometimes i have to change resolution but i cant, also i cant turn on full screen mode second time, i have to releod page, then watch it on full screen.

I tried to install your latest version crdroid-5.0.2-20150121-endeavoru on my HTC One X but I got only an infinit HTC image. I am not very familiar with this things but I think I did what the instructions said:
- start on recovery mod (I am using TWRP v2.6.0.0, the one I used the only time I installed a custom rom);
- installed "crdroid-5.0.2-20150121-endeavoru" and "pa_gapps-stock-5.0.1-BETA12-20150116-signed" and did a data wipe in the end;
- reboot.
As I said, after restarting, I get the HTC start image and nothing progresses. Any idea what I am doing wrong (and how to make my phone back to work)?

I seem to be having problems with the wi-fi when I change the DPI. I set it to 240, it restarts just fine but the wi-fi doesn't turn on anymore. any solutions? thanks

If you put the ROM zip on your PC and open the zip file (not unzip) you'll see a boot.IMG inside,extract the boot.IMG to your pc. I'm assuming you've got the fastboot controls on your PC.

recently I've installed the ROM wich is a great build I must say. The experience is smooth and I haven't got any random reboots. But when I reboot the phone, it gets stuck on the HTC logo. After 3 reboots it will work normal again. Sometimes the WIFI doesn't work after a reboot and I have to reboot it again.

Another problem I have is that the AdBlocker isn't working (I still have advertisements in apps) although I've downloaded the latest host files.

Probably some things are fixed in the newest build, but I can't find the changelog of it on XDA. It's there! And how do I update my ROM (I am used to OTA updaters, idea?)? Just dirty install the new ROM?
The answer is dirty flashing. (just install the ROM and clear cache and dalvik (I guess))

Thank you team for a very good rom. I have an HTC One X [Endeavoro] and have experimented with many roms over time. I always fall back onto JB Sense 5 Blade Elite 2.0 with Lyapota mods flashed.
The CM KitKat roms just didn't tick all the boxes for me. Functionality v battery life.
But I am so impressed with this Rom, especially so early in the development.
With crdroid 5.0.2-20150210, I am running the native launcher with PA Gapps mini. Touch recovery 6.0.4.8 gave me a problem restoring the back up but after allowing root access in dev options (I don't know if that made a difference) and flashing twrp-recovery-hox-2.8.1.0 the twrp back up restored perfectly. The Rom is so smooth, battery life is great and everything works!

If you hold your finger on the screen and the pages display, there is a small home icon at the top of your current home screen, just move it to the one you want, It works.
