First 7% battery goes like lightning after full charge... - Huawei Watch

very strange after that its completely fine its like the battery needs calibration. Any one else got this?

me too

Same here. Last a very long time, but the first 7% drops in 15 minutes.

glad its not just mine

I have been seeing the same thing.

Same here...

I think It's due to the charging cycle. Once fully charged it appears to stop charging and I have seen the battery level drop by a few percent before the charge is topped up. This is to preserve battery life. It therefore depends when you remove the watch as to how quick the first few percent drops

Battery Life at 100%

Hi, My battery used to stay at 100% for at least 20 min with minor use after taking it off the charger. Now, it drops fairly quickly to 97% with the same usage. Overall I think I am left with the same percentage at the end of the day, but I was wondering if anyone else experienced this.
How old is the battery, are you leaving it on the charger for long periods after it's fully charged. Their longevity wears down so it's going to happen. But you can take some steps to stretch it out to the max. Mine goes from 100% to 95-96% in about 30-45 minutes right now

Thanks, Its about a month old. It is on the charger for at least several hours after its fully charged. Also, I am completely stock.
Just curious, is your device idle in the 30 min that it takes it to go from 100% to 95%? If not are you doing intensive stuff to takes it to 95%?

Yeah mostly idle, just running back ground tasks and such. Very minimal use.
Also I think leaving it on the charger for long periods of time reduces the life span of the battery as well. That's why it notifies you to take it off when it's fully charged. And I believe I read that somewhere else also.
But also if you leave it charging all night the phone may say 100% however the phone to prevent it self from charging the battery to long it stops charging it and let's it drain from 90% to 100% and slowly charges it back up. So as not to damage the battery. It keeps following that loop to keep your battery running longer so the first 10% can sometimes be misleading but it's nothing to worry about

This was fairly common on the SGS2.
The common way to fix it on that device was to charge it to 100%, then unplug it and plug it back in and wait until it gets to 100% again. Do this 3-5 times and the problem should be gone. It is worth a shot on the SGS4
This can happen when flashing ROMs while your battery is not full, though this is not the only way for this to occur.
I like that last one. Gotta try it out.
The kernel stops charging at 100 percent and doesn't start again until it guys 95. What you're reading as your percentage level is not the exact levels
Say you unplug at what you think is 100 percent but in reality it's actually 98 percent, the software quickly relays this back to the user and adjusts the battery levels accordingly making you think it just drained 2 percent really quickly.
The whole reason it does this is to percent over charging the battery. That will greatly shorten it's life cycle or even worse blow up your battery

Weird battery issue

Something odd happened to me today.
I went to sleep listening to an audiobook, the G3 was at 100% battery.
When I woke up ~8 hours later the battery was at 99%, it was plaing audio the whole time.
Obviously a display bug, when I went to see battery status it said 648 hours left.
So I restarted the G3 and nothing changed, the battery is now at a lower % but it behaves as though nothing happened.
Please tell me the battery micro-controller isn't screwed and doesn't now report 70% as the new 100%.

I had something like this as well, but it went down a tick eventually. i was browsing reddit for 30 minutes at 100%, then it went to 99%. Not sure if it's just amazing battery life, or somethin'gs up.

I would drain it to 0% and then charge it to 100% without unplugging it. That should recalibrate the battery
From 100% > 99% seems to take an age. But soon as it hits 99% it does drain considerably faster.
If you check you batter after you have charged it, it always says Estimated time remaining and collecting battery info... please wait.. until it drops to 100%
I have same issue but its not bother me much. Whats bother me is that some times when I go to sleep and live phone at 60% I wake up tomorow and its 60% and sometimes drops like 3 or 5%...any one have that issue?

Well, it's hard to say but maybe it wasn't a problem after all.
Seems like the battery % is highly inaccurate at top levels. 100->99 takes much longer than 99->98.
I took the advice of someone in this thread and fully discharged the battery and then fully charged it.
It did take a while though, 6-7 hours from <1% to 100%. Using a computer USB port for charging.
Is charging faster with the provided power USB adapter? Or with wireless charging?

Yes and yes, if you use an apropiate AC Adaptor. Pc is usually charging at 500 mA and an Ac Adaptor up to 2 Amps. So you charge 4 times quicker in theory.

Battery charge problem...stops at 96%

my galaxy tab pro 8.4 stops charging at 96%....
i always charge it from 10 - 15% to 100% by switching of the device...from past week it always stops at 96 and when i switch it on it goes to 100 in a cou[le of minutes...what i s to be done ..i calibrated also..no change..
Yep, you have custom rom? that's usually what happens.
I have the slim rom and mine is like that, I just unplug and then plug back in does the trick

Custom rom has nothing to do with it. I am running the stock version, and my battery won't charge up more than 64% right now. It seems the problem starts with 96/94% but gets progressively worse. Sometimes it will fix it self for a short time when I replug, but right now even that doesn't work for me.
I checked last night, and I believe the kernel just thinks the battery is nearing it's 100% state. This was a screenshot I took that shows that the battery isn't charging at full power. The closer I got to 64%, the slower the charge went:

Have you tried just using the tablet when it was "fully" charged to 64%? I see three possibilities and I would be curious to know was the case:
1) Your battery is only charging to 64% and when you start using it, it will decrease at a normal rate and you'll get 1/3 less time out of the charge.
2) Your battery is showing 64% for all charges >= 64%. So, it could be at 100% charged and will stay at 64% until you've used up 36% of your battery.
3) It is scaling wrong so that 64% == 100% and the battery percentage will decrease as you use the tablet, but it will decrease 1/3 slower than it used to (aka the time from 100% to 0% when you first bought it would be the same as your time now from 64% to 0%).
Any idea which of those three is actually happening?

Definitely the first one. Right now I am at about 35% and have 2.5-3 hours screen time since the 64% (can't check for a definitive screentime as the indicator doesn't reset unless you charge to 100%). So that would translate to the about 7.5-8 hours I get when I do have a full charge.
I also checked once before when I had this issue by letting my battery completely discharge and then start up my tablet again and I had 1% left, so it was pretty much completely drained. I'll probably charge it again tonight and I expect I will have an even lower full battery percentage.
Try using a different 2amp charger and/or different cable

The only real fix for this opening the back up and unplugging the battery. When you plug it back in you won't see the problem again. Not sure why.... But that's how I fixed mine. Been good for two months now.

Also tried that already. Still only charges up to a lower percentage. Only thing I haven't tried is unplugging the entire battery.
It charged up to 100% for some reason last night. The only thing that is really weird that it charged 1% every five minutes from like 85-95% and then suddenly in the last 5 minutes it instantly charged from 95 to 100%. The whole battery thing is just really weird.

G4 battery drain to ~85% after fully charging while its turned on.

This only happens when its turned on, when i charge it while its turned off and turn it on after fully charging, it stays 100% for quite a while.
Also usually when im not doing too much on the device the battery lasts a good week.
Couldn't find any faulty services on the battery usage, i also close apps in the background when im done using them/not using them for next few hours.
edit: this drain happens while doing nothing on the device, within like 30 minutes, from there on it drains normally like a percent per hour in idle at most
That is the most vague question I've seen in a while. What are you doing when the battery is draining until 85%? That is the right question. If you have data on and you are using the phone it can happen in 30 min or so
Sent from my LG-H815 using XDA-Developers mobile app
well, nothing, i guess i didnt make it obvious enough, i remove the charger and 30 min later i check again its below 90% or 85% already but from there on it drains normally as in not much at all in idle
maybe like a percent per hour or so, not exactly sure

Charging speed post update

Did anyone else notice a reduction in charging speed (wired and wireless) post recent update? I'm on an unlocked note 10+.
Yes, but I think it is just the calibrated timer.
Indicated 1½ hours which went up to over 4hrs, phone charged to 100% in just over an hour.
So the phone still charges very quickly.
Sent from my SM-N976B using Tapatalk
After the last update, my device charges at the same speed, I have never started a charge from zero, as I always try to avoid it due to unnecessary battery wear, but from 20% to 100% it takes some ~43 minutes, but I have only charged to 100% two times, again, to avoid unnecessary batt wear
What's the recommended charge threshold? when and how ?
Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
I have read several posts and articles, most important of all, NEVER let the battery go to ZERO, try charging when around 20% , and try to avoid reaching 100% all the time, but the really important is to avoid depleting the battery repeatedly

20 to 80 percent or 30 to 80 percent
As slow as possible
I've heard of all of these battery preserving charge parameters to keep it between 20 to 80% etc every device I've ever owned I have Let die completely or get to least 10% before charging. I also always charge all of my devices to 100% Max and have yet to find any kind of battery depletion issues where I've been able to notice a problem or where it's caused concern.
to each their own and it's good that people take caution in preserving the life of their phone but I usually don't hold on to my phone for 2 to 3 years and I've never noticed any battery depletion problems from going to zero to a hundred regularly.
I am seeing the same in charging speeds. 45w charger still right around an hour for 5% to 100% for me
