Help! KLD5 MCU firmware needed - MTCB Android Head Units Q&A

I have a Pumpkin KD-C0109 single DIN Android 4.4.4 HU. I mistakenly upgraded the firmware thinking that I had a backup available but my MCU file was wrong. Does anyone have the firmware for a KLD5 MCU? the original MCU was MTCB-KLD5-V2.77.

This is where I got into trouble. There are MCUs for KLD, KLD1 and KLD2 but none for KLD5. None of the ones that I have tried work. Now none of the buttons on my HU work, including the power button. This is a flip-out screen so there is no way to recover unless I can find the right MCU firmware.

K.. Maybe someone can extract theirs for you and pop it into Dropbox..
With that in mind, might have to keep bumping this thread until a kind soul comes to the party for you..
Then it could be just a matter of packing it into one of those other MCU zip packages and flash it.. Or someone zips it into a flashable pack for you.. I am guessing that using 7zip maybe work..but better confirm that with a developer..
Also on that note.. As been pointed out before... MCU flashing can lead to bad things happening as with these units not only using a rom + kernel but the MCU package as well ., thus if you are new to these units....
Read....read.. Check.. Before you do anything...

Please, kind soul, come forward.

Bump!

Currently the only way to get mcu is img from manufacturer

SOLVED
I was able to get a copy of the mcu.img from the reseller. [email protected]

I think I have the same unit you do but mine is branded as Eonon GA1312. The MCU version is MTCB-KLD5V2.79. Do you have a copy of the firmware you can share?

Universal 7" 2din android
Hello everybody ! I saw this forum yesterday, i found it interesting. I am also in trouble with my 2 DIN android 7" [ ebay item num.: 141797471889 ] .... After all connections made,
it only operates and shows up Android logo, after a moment only the light of the screen is on.....
I told the seller, and he sent me 2 files ( 4.4 MCU - 复件(3).zip & 4.4.4system - 复件(3).zip ) , i unzipped the files that he sent me, and he told me to copy only the 173 MB mcu file to the SD card.
So after all, i connected again the power wire , i pressed eject button and i inserted the SD card to the CAR DVD and I pressed the HOME & MENU button till it shows up an option . As he said...
Nothing !!!! I tried all the 4 files
( 1 mcu files from 4.4 & 3 mcu files from 4.4.4 )
Here are all, 4.4 zip file extracts folder: 4.2系统最新下滑MCU with file : 4bf18a00-297a-11e3-ab19-000c29ba27c0
&
4.4.4 zip file extracts folder: 2.9.5_SYESTEM800X480_CRO with files :

I searched on google and on this forum and maybe theres a simple reason i cant find much info about this unit.
what customizations can be done? is there custom software? Id like it so the weather shows when it starts up or something.
Im primarily using the bluetooth feature to play music but im having troubles with the sound quality. can I use a different amp software through bluetooth?
Im also planning to connect 1 or 2 amps to it. I see it has subwoofer control. anyone have any experience using a sub amp or a 4 channel amp with these android units?
I also cant get a 3g dongle to work when I have it connected. im sure its something im overlooking this is the one im using smile.amazon.com/Unlocked-Huawei-E397u-53-Worldwide-Required/dp/B01M0JY15V/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1504553313&sr=1-2&keywords=Unlocked+Modem+USB+4G+LTE+Huawei+%27"]Unlocked Modem USB 4G LTE Huawei E397u-53 Worldwide Hotspot Service Required Only T-mobile in US

Yes, MCUs are not processor or OS specific.
Thanks a lot for this, can anybody guide me how to figure out which one of these I need to install. My device mcu version says: 023042bGS-CIC-HW7-180516[B1280_170325].

No, I'm sorry, I don't have any copies. I bought it from a friend. What do you think I risk? I would like to try to update it because I have problems with Bluetooth or do you think it can solve maybe changing roms? But even I wouldn't know where to start, which rom I could put and how. Thank you

Usually all MTCD/E units use the same MCU and I was always under the impression Sofia units did too, but as I said they have wifi on the SoM which may make a difference as on other MTCD/E units the wifi is on the motherboard, so I m not 100% certain, also the link you posted has "Sofia MCU".
So I would read this thread starting at the beginning to find out for sure.

MCU wanted for MTCE_GS_V2.84._3 (dmcu.img)

Hi All,
I accidentally messed up with my unit PX5 (buttons are not working - unit does) and I would like to reflash the MCU.
The original version the unit came with is MTCE_GS_V2.84._3 but I cannot find it anywhere.
Does anyone have an idea where I can find it?

I asked because my seller gave to me 2 versions of the update file a couple of months ago. First he sent the PE version and later, before I updated my unit, he sent the PB saying that this is the right one for my unit.

Update MCU (PX3)

Hello! I currently have this version of MCU: MTCE_LM_V2.75_1
Is it important to update MCU? Are there risks? After the installation should I configure something?
From the radio I can not update MCU, it does not find any update. But in a post of this forum (Dasaita) I have seen an update is it compatible with my radio unit? MTCE_HA_V3.06.zip
I have a PX3 of 2Gb.
Thank you
I just found this MCU file: MTCE_LM_V3.01c20190111 better this update? I do not know what is the latest MCU version of MTCE_LM_V2.75_1
It's better to keep it up to date, even when you dont experience issues with the device.
The updates are normally not that hard to install and version 3 has the function of teleconference within.
I noticed with my upgrade that the device doesnt freeze anymore during boot. But i had 1.9 installed and now 3.00

Could you tell me what is the most updated version of this MTCE_LM_V2.75_1? PX3 2Gb. Thank you
I thought the rom for the MCU is 3.01 for LM, you can find those on the forum, only a good search is required.
I have the GS version but i do not recommend installing an MCU from another supplier.
The android PX3 2GB roms can be found anywhere. Search for PX3 ROM LM.

This entire thread is a waste of space in that there are more appropriate places the OP could have posted in or at least searched first, but that's another matter.

Suggest NOT changing your MCU unless resolving a known issue. Same for Android. This is a head unit, constantly updating isn't necessary.
Update for mic issue
Hi Experts! If I want to update my Dasaita PX6 Max10 is there any preferred order which update to do first OTA or MCU? In case of OTA update at starting is it necessary to click on WIPE AND FORMAT FLASH option? Somebody is doing this, somebody is doing that... When is it suggested?
The reason why I planning to switch to latest update because during calls my mic is working strange, sometimes the others cannot hear me properly. They are complaining about low volume and faded voice. (If they are calling back they says it is better...) Have you experienced the same thing?

I use the internal microphone, not yet tried an external one. I checked the mic with apps, basically it is working however its volume seems to be a little bit low, but it is not faded. I feel it is rather a noise suppression issue (coming from sw side), therefore I hope that an update could help.

I respectfully disagree based on years of experience: there's no need to flash the MCU configuration file DMCU with an MCU that matches the manufacturer of your head unit. I.e. HA to HA, JY to JY etc.
Your well meaning advice resulted in a configuration not appropriate (which messed up the screen) for another members screen type/resolution.
The 'similar issues' stated are probably your misunderstanding of what the DMCU file is and possibly where others have installed a different vendor MCU. E.g. GS on HLA

A few questions...
1) Anybody able to modify steering wheel controls? I open the app and it is blank.
2) Also, can you summon siri/google via the steering wheel when in carplay/android auto?
3) I have an OBD dongle but am unable to get the headunit to connect to it. I see it in the available devices but nothing happens after i select "yes" to connect.
I have the max10 600p resolution version for highlander. A canbus was included and I am able to change vol/toggle modes.

When you install a harness with a CAN adapter the steering wheel signals a routed for you to the CAN decoder box. It worked for me to reroute them to my own circuit. It should be equally fine to connect them to the KEY1 and KEY2 inputs, that is if your car has resistive buttons and only one or two. Then you can program them as desired.
Flashed 20200915 and the 2.62_1 (with a different dmcu.ext provided by dasaita that had screen:18 inside it). Everything has been working great but there is an annoying notification everytime I switch the car on that shows the version number - is there anyway to get rid of this?

I noticed that the first time I installed that update, then I went back to the prior version I had, one more time I gave it a try and I started to try to remove that annoying notification, but then I thought why waste time on that, also I notice that saving a screenshot was giving me an error, so once again I went back to the prior version I had installed.
I can’t decide whether to put this up or Malayk’s ROM. I don't really need pre-installed programs, I know which launcher, music player, etc.. I want to use, but there may be settings in it that I can't solve on this ROM.
