I have arc s with running cm11.All the drivers are completely install on my laptop window 8.1.when I swtch to fastboot my arc s doesn't load to fastboot why although I have latest fastboot and adb drivers and latest flashtool too.when ever I try to load to fastboot or flashboot blue led blinks for just 0.2 sec and mobile goes to charging plzzz help me to get rid of this.When i used flashtool n check the option of drivers in flashtool,flashtool says list of adb devices CX... And list of fastboot devices none.When i switch off the phone and turn it to fastboot blue led once again blinks for just 0.2s plzzz help pllzzzzzzz
I have exactly the same problem. Can't get my device to go into any modes - flashmode or fastboot mode. have my device turned off, hold down the back (or menu) button, and finally connect the USB. The green LED flashes for less than 0.5s and then continues to charge mode with battery icon. I want to refresh the firmware in my phone using PC companion (the latest version) but when asked to put the device into flashmode the PC doesn't detect it. PC companion has installed all the correct USB drivers on my computer. Anyone knows how to solve this problem?

after a lot of trying cant get my flashing process start in flashtool am using version 0.2.9.1 and my arc enters the flash mode blue led flashes but flashtool does not start flashing it continues asking connect it in flash mode .i have installed drivers and my windows shows device connected as s1 fastboot but still no luck..checked command prompt method of unlocking bootloader and it gives value 0.3 telling me that my phone is in fastboot mode then y does not the flashtool start flashing????please help
It should be the Green light you need to Press the Power button + Back button

Menu + plugin to USB == fastboot mode.. You use it to flash unsigned images in fastboot mode using the "fastboot" tool (Blue light)
For flashing with Flashtool it is plugin with back button..
I am trying to unlock my xperia play bootloader and i have booted in to fastboot mode it asks for the drivers and i try to use the files from this tutorial

and i also installed pdanet and pointed it towards those drivers and i still get the same error
adb drivers are properly installed as well
im running windows xp on SP 2
it wont boot in to fastboot when i hold the search button, it also doesnt give me a blue light
but when i hold the back button i get a green light and the pop up to install the fastboot drivers appears

Problem:
I froze some system apps on my xperia pro including mtp (the one that you need for the usb to connect to the computer)?!
well then i was using the phone like regularly and it suddenly froze.
Rebooted the phone ..black screen , the phone is booting normally but i cant see a thing of course.
Fastboot / Flash mode
With flashtool It says its connecting but then i get an error
With the cmd fastboot method its just stating "waiting for device" and when i connect it in fastboot mode nothing is happening just windows telling me thats something wrong with the usb connection and it wont work.
When the phone is turned on and connected to the computer i can see it listed in the device manager as mk16i

problem 1 : is your phone hardware qwerty button light up when you turn it on and dim when wait a few second? if similiar like that maybe you need to replace the flex cable
problem 2 : try reinstall your phone's driver and make sure you connect the phone in fastboot mode with blue notification led light up.
Hi,
I can't get into fastboot mode on my Sony Acro S. I hold the volume up button and then insert the USB cable. The blue led light up and everything seams to be ok but after some seconds the led get dark and the phone shows the Sony logo. The computer recognize the phone and the device manager shows an unknown device but It disapear after a while...
Anyone that have seen this before and maybe have a solution?

That means your computers system is unable to install essential fastboot drivers for your phone. Try alternative USB ports.
If still it doesn't work then try it on another system. Also have a look on this,

I wanted to flash rom with Sony flash tool but it failed and phone turned off. Now it's showing only red led. If I connect to PC then it shows unknown device and it disconnect automatically from PC in a while. No fastboot, No download mode, No charging, no boot.
Please help me if someone has any solution for it
