I noticed the videos in my Samsung video player app are not animated, don't they or arnt they supposed to?

correct, I don't know why I thought they did, I guess it was still in my brain from when I had an s3, or note 3 "not sure if the note 3 did or not either" thanks

Thanks! Do you know if it mirrors all apps? Ideally I would like to use it to play rented google play movies on my big screen.
I just tried and it's a no go. It's not working at all since I rooted with the multi view add-on. Device dhcp error. Seems like I need the 4.2 update as someone pointed out. I'll try messing around and see if it works.

Question for you. When you reset your allshare cast dongle does it turn blue for quite a while or does it turn back to red pretty quickly. Mine turns back to red pretty quickly. I tried connection from my note 2 within 2 mins after reset like the instructions told me to and it still doesn't work.

The Note 2 has a different resololution, so i guess not. But you could try it, it may be stretched a bit though if it should work. Make a CWM backup first to be safe.

Yes off course, my bad. I meant to say screensize.
I dont think screen size matters if the resolutions are the same. Things are going to be at the same place relative to other elements. Heck GS3 profiles for the six axis controller, dependant on resolution works perfectly fine on the Note 2.

There is a legacy play store .apk that has that tab,would link to it but I still cant, but I would also like the new play store to include this so I don't have to run two play store apk's

Just bought mine today and the update came through. To be honest I am a little worried as the tablet gets hot even with minimal use. Anyone else noted this?

Mine does get warm pretty easy, but it's quite normal with the tablet being so thin. Nothing to worry about imo. It cools back down pretty quickly too.

Weird though as my note 3 stays nice and cool. Having said that this one has a snapdragon whilst the tab has an exynos cpu.I saw an article where a Russian with this cpu got a bend battery cover due to overheating.

I had the tab pro 8.4 with the snapdragon before this, and that also got really warm depending on what I was using it for. I believe the Russian guy had a faulty unit as no other people have had the problem.

All settled down now. I checked battery log and it turns out Google+ was busy scanning my 64gb a card I had previously stuffed full with photos and films ready for holiday trip which it catalogued and uploaded. There is still a notified lag/stutter in the launcher. I guess a custom rom may sort this out. Otherwise quite impressed with the screen when viewing the pics from my full frame dslr on it.

Thats good. One of the first things I did was remove google+ as I never use it. There is minimal stutter and lag, but this is very common on Samsung products. They need a massive makeover on their front end imo. I do like TouchWiz though.
