Htc desire 320 rebooting bootloop (no recovery, no OS, no bootloader) - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi to everyone,
I have a htc desire 320 and I rooted it then flash a not compatible recovery moded and got in bootloop.
after this said the cellphone keeps restarting so I cant use the adb fastboot because its always disconnecting from computer.
I have no recovery to restore from my backup.
I have no OS to boot on.
I never had a bootloader locked or unlocked. none.
I have connecting problem to computer as adb should help.
my brain hurts and my phone is dead I think.
what should I do to just put on a recovery or unlock a bootloader I never had to bring everything back to normal ?
thanks in advance for support,
have a nice day.

Hello!
I also flashed a recovery.img which put the phone into a boot loop. I am not able to flash my backup because in SP Flash Tool my HTC Desire 320 keeps disconnecting (error 2004).
How did you manage to flash your phone? Could you please help? Or is my phone dead?
Thanks.

Already tried, with battery in it boots and crashes, when plugged in without battery it just connects and disconnects over and over.
Have tried multiple cords, usb 2.0 & 3.0 ports. Same story.
Installed mediatek driver, uninstalled; you name it I tried it with the exception of opening it. Haven't got to that stage yet, I'm lazy.

if adb cant be able to be able to connect and stay connected ( bootloop or restarting problems )
then take SP Tool flasher to flash the Scatter MT6582 from stock KK by only remove battery first and let it out.
plug the universal usb port on cable but on the end of the cellphone dont plug it yet...
in SP Tool check the checkboxe in settings to checksum DL DA. and select usb high speed and W/O battery options.
then when the scatter is loaded then you ready to flash. the latest SF Tool is recommanded.
click on Download on SP tool when done the steps. it will hang on idle but at this moment press de volume down button first.
keeps holding that button until the end of flashing process and when hold it now plug the cable to your computer and bam you will be able to flash it to stock or custom your desire 320 without problems and its will not disconnect during process since you holding the volume down button.
that's how I did resolve my problem about months and find my own solution.
hope this helps... dont be shy to let me know if it worked for you or if you still need assitance.
have a nice day.
peace.

After searching and searching, seems someone actually had the same problem as I do. But for my part even when pressing the volume down before connecting to the computer doesn't keep the phone from connecting and disconnecting, even tried all the buttons combination you can imagine.
I'm wondering if it could be a driver issue, in your case was your device disconnecting every 5 seconds? And do you have any special driver that I should be aware of, personally I have Preloader USB VCOM port version 2.0.0.0...
I hope you got something in mind, I don't know where to look anymore haha.
Thanks again
PS I did everything else, remove battery, disable signature, got scatter MT6582 + download agent for flash tool (also updated), tried with ADB but can't detect device (of course it keeps deconnecting :silly: )

even if you have mediatek usb vcom driver or adb drivers else original driver it works on all with the button press.
but set the setting like I said USB support normal without battery W/O and high speed.
don't set it to mediatek com ports on SP tool. but if you have mediatek com port change to port 20. that's what I did change the port com.

What version of SP Flashtool are you using?

Well I have tried everything everyone has said so far
No matter what I try I get
BROM ERROR: S_BROM_DOWNLOAD_DA_FAIL (2004)
[H/W] Fail to download DA to baseband chip's internal SRAM!
Have tried using both
SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1352.01
SP-Flash-Tool-v5.1532.00
Both do the exact same thing, tried checking the AD DL ALL with Checksum boxes, unchecked usb high speed and full speed. Pressing the down button before plugging it it, after. Nothing I do seems to work, in the device manager it just keeps appearing and disappearing over and over

I think a found the solution guys. After a sleepless night , I stumble into a russian forum who got the same problems as ours.
The correct version of the SP FlashTool we need for our device is the SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1348.01_SEC (http://mediafire.com/download/eaar07r2nm1v7t6/SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1348.01_SEC.rar). I read somewhere that it was because of the HTC Desire 320 has a security boot.
If you got a 4008 error, it's probably because you're using Win8-Win10. You need Win7. I'm installing Win7 on my PC right now, so I will tell you more about it later.
If you looking for the stock roms, I found this site : http://easy-firmware.com/index.php?a=browse&b=category&id=1449
If you speak russian, feel free to correct me.
Have a good one guys.

If you got a CID Error, it's probably because you have flash the wrong rom for your device. I didn't have to restore the NVRAM after this flash, but maybe you will have to.

Thanks for it, i've got that problem after trying to install custom recovery. I also got the error 2004 but i fixed myself by using DA_SWSEC.bin. Not sure if it work for ur guys or not.
I also learn that althrough HTC 320 is Mt6582 devices but we cant use the method they wrote in mtkrom site to install custom recovery. Now i can find the stock rom of my phone to check flashing custom rom via splashtool. I used telus rom above and i got problem wrong CID and the flash camera not work, if i have msg or phone call missing, it flashes like notice led! At least now my phone is working ok then. I'll try to contact HTC to get stock rom of my phone

Yeah I forgot to mention that, you need to use the DA_SWSEC on the SP Flashtool. What's your htc 320 model? Your probably have the wrong rom. The telus one is only for NA device.
EDIT: Are you using the HTC Desire 320 with dual sim: http://drop.ndtv.com/TECH/product_database/images/15201573649PM_635_htc_desire_320.jpeg
If this is your device, the Telus rom is not for your device.
This is the EU rom: http://www.mediafire.com/download/z...NSE53_htc_europe_1.00.401.3_by_jamesjerss.zip

Bricked my Galaxy Gio

Hi XDA,
I've searched in many threads but i can't find an anwser.
I've bricked my Galaxy Gio when i flashed a custom kernel. It was the kernel in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1319816
Now it does nothing, I can't boot in any mode, not in download mode, not in recovery mode...
I have android 2.3.3 Gingerbread.
Is there any way to unbrick or is my phone just an expensive decoration now.
Thanks in Advance.
Hi !!!

Hope this will work in your device as well

If not even adb detects it, i'm pretty sure you're buggered, mate.
did you try and leave the battery out for some 10 min or more?
If adb does not detect the phone after that, then it seems to be a brick for real.
Is your phone stop at the "samsung" when you turn on your phone?
If is this,it's very easy to unbrick
One easy procedure which you might want to try with no guarantee it'll work:
-Remove the battery, microSD and SIM from the phone.
-Prepare the Odin software and your ROM on a known working system
-Connect the phone to the computer with the USB cable.
-With one hand, simultaneously hold Volume down, home and power.
-With your other hand, put the battery in the phone.
I was able to get Odin to detect an otherwise bricked phone this way. I was however unable to get further than the "setup connection" step. Maybe your outcome will be better.

Darkshado

Yes this way usually works. I've tested this way.
that worked for me to on a brick when it didnt even went on, no recovery, download mode etc, after waiting 2 weeks and trying to repair it myself I nearly throw it away, and then suddenly it went into download mode for about 1 or 2 seconds, wich told me the battery whasn't working.. so I started to charge the battery, and hoped it would boot, but it didn't.. using that method given above, I could get into download mode again, and flashes a new stock ROM. now I still have my phone, working.

[Q] Stuck in bootloop, Volume button broken, ADB not working

So by the heading you guys must know I have messed up pretty badly.
Let me tell you first, I have done my research. Tried each and every thing possible (AFAIK) but it just wont boot into recovery.
FLASHBACK: ( I have Sff) (Volume button is broken).
1) Did a clean wipe ( Cache, Dalvik, System),
2) Installed Ignorance V4, ( I thought the kernel must be in the zip, so didnt flash the kernel)
3) Phone booted and stuck in splashscreen. ( Ignorance)
4) Connected it to Laptop via USB. Checked ADB. Device not found.
5) Switched off device, connected to laptop, checked ADB, Device not found.
6) Checked through device manager, and device manager recognizes the phone. All drivers are installed and updated. Windows Vista.
Now, what to do? Is there any way I can get into recovery or even Hboot so that I can flash kernel?.

Which recovery u have ??
If you have Cwm...Let ua battery drain completely and then put in on charge, it will boot into cwm directly. That's the only option.
If you have TWRP, lol..I'd Suggest you torepair your Vol Buttons

Downloading HTC Sync Manager. Hope the updated drivers work. Called up my IT guy. He is giving me a quote on repairs tomorrow. Come to think of it, my one v was bound to end like this. Screen broken and shattered at 2 places, headphone jack socket gone, volume buttons gone.
Now upgrading to...........................wait for it............................ Nokia 1100.

Recently I have seen one interesting issue that might appear like solution to your problem. According to the description you may try turning off your phone and plugging in a charger. If you will have the same behaviour your phone should start into recovery mode. =)
Edited: Doh! TWRP...
You may try All-In-One-Kit as well. It has high level interface to run adb commands (including Boot into Recovery). Yeah yeah, I've seen your note that adb does not recognize your device, anyway...

Yes.
I have given it for repairs.I have decided not to sell or dispose it.
Its only sometime before I buy a moto g or xperia device. Waiting for my new credit card :fingers-crossed:
which phone would you suggest?
Vickrant.
If you are good with 16gb storage better buy Moto G if not there are a few options like Xperia M , Canvas series and all..
Sorry to be so late to the party, but in case other people get this issue. ADB will often work just after the kernel finishes loading, before it gets shut off. So between the htc boot screen and when the boot anim starts you have a window to commit abd commands. I often use this to save time when flashing kernels etc, notably because my WIP roms rarely make it past bootanim!

You sure about this?i am stuck there and i have cwm recovery installed, will it switch itself straight to recovery after the battery is dried up?i am using sony xperia c

[q] lg g3 d855 hard bricked no download mode or recovery!

Hi all, I come to you as my last resort.
I have spent hours on google trying to find a solution to my problem.
This is what happened.
I store my ROMS on an external SD and sometimes i get the error that it is being removed unexpectedly...sometimes..anyway.
I booted into my TWRP and went to flash DarkKnights ROM..this ROM was something like 1.7 GB i think and after completely wiping the device (System, data and cache) i proceeded to flash the new rom..However it flashed very very quickly which i found strange but proceeded to restarting my device.
After that my phone has been completely dead!
What i think happened is that the EXTERNAL SD malfunctioned during the installation and im left with absolutely nothing on my phone.
I cannot enter recovery or download mode!
The only sign of life is when i plug it into my computer and it installs a driver that is the androidnet driver not the qualcom driver that some people have had and fixed.
I am open to any suggestions as you truly are my last resort.
Haven't really got much to say in the way of helping you mate, sounds like you're in a real Pickle :/
I'm sure someone here has a solution, there'd surely be SOME way to resolve it, we've got some pretty talented devs that do some amazing stuff so someone should be able to help ya somewhere.
All the best man, if you need help we're here

try fastboot mode.
For that install this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979&nocache=1
after you can apply fastboot commands
If you want to find custom recovery, flash kitkat aboot, kitkat laf and twrp recovery
you can have all this files in this post : http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/d855-one-click-root-twrp-recovery-t3072767/post59895642#post59895642
Download the script and extract it. In the folder there are all files (aboot, laf and recovery)
But of course , the fastboot command has to work ...
After that you should find recovery and download mode
Fastboot doesnt work for D855...
You can try flashing the TOT file with the old LG Flash Tool but im doubtful it will work
Are you sure you have no recovery access by Power+Vol—

Yes im sure! my phone is completely dead and the only sign of life as i said is when the driver gets installed on the computer when i plug it in.. Thank you for your reply though.
Try LG mobile support tool (old version) : http://tool.xcdn.gdms.lge.com/client/app/B2CAppSetup.exe
Even if you have not download mode, you can try. Install the tool
Try to boot on download mode, you have error message
run LG mobile support tool
choose Additional functions then Upgrade of the recovery after error
At one moment the tool will say that there is not of g3 connected, reattempts starting in download mode or presses on the button to power. Try several times both.
If it work, the software is going to download the last one kdz available for your device and him(it) to fall in love by following
You can always try this solution, with a little luck ...
I have tried all your suggestions but i still have no luck..i tried the tot method as well and it comes up with an error message of 'download fails'..there must be some way to fix this!!im left with the driver AndroidNet being installed on the computer and a phone that cannot enter recovery or download mode. however i can hear the phone working on the inside if i listen closely..if you have any other suggestions please share!
Update:
I was playing around with the phone and when i plugged it into the computer the screen came on and showed me battery low..also the led light on top started flashing red as it does when the phone's battery is low..I dont know if this will help in finding a fix but im hopeful.. :/

Hello my friend..All i did was plug the wire into the computer and then into my phone..and because my battery was very low the screen turned on and showed me the battery low screen..then the led started flashing..and finally the phone switched off completely..Thankfully i have another battery to continue my testing and trying to fix it..but apart from that that happened with the battery im back to square one where my phone is completely dead again and the only response i get is the AndroidNet USB driver being installed on the computer.

Thank you very much for the thread you posted..i tried it but the thing is..my phone has literally nothing on it so when i put each file manually into the phone i dont know which sdb to put it through to..as the thread says it should give a lost of all the system partition files but since my one doesnt have anything on the phone it does not find them...
However, i did manage to establish a connection between the phone and the terminal in linux so im thinking maybe i have to flash each file manually that i can get from a system dump of a g3 and maybe thay will work..what do you think??

Wireless Update

Without checking the forums I went ahead and clicked on the Wireless Update on the P8000 and now it just hangs on the Elephone logo and is not recognized when I try to connect to the PC. Has anyone else done this and has the same problem, any way of fixing?
UPDATE: Decided to mess around with the phone to try and get back to life, found an old laptop, loaded the Drivers (without any security warnings), loaded the SP Flash Tool. Connnected the phone to the laptop, did not register, downloaded the ROM 150907, went to Flash Tool clicked on scatter.txt file, pressed the power button on the phone and somehow connection was made to the phone. Bottom line is that it kicked into life with the new 150907 software, from a non techie, I am well chuffed, certainly will not be doing a Wireless update anytime soon. The new ROM is a lot more stable and even allows me to use my Works email on the Exchange services account where I had previous issues.
I have the same problem. The OTA update got my phone stuck in the Elephone boot animation. I am using Windows 10 currently and I can't install the drivers. What OS did the computer you used run?
UPDATE: I did it!! I used this guide ( http://www.howtogeek.com/167723/how...8.1-so-that-you-can-install-unsigned-drivers/ ) to allow me to install the drivers in Windows 10, and then used the flashtool. It took me some tries to get the flashtool to recognized the device but it did it.
Unfortunately all data was wiped

Which sp flash tool version are you folks running?
For me, with version .520 and .532, the flashtool stops responding as soon as the phone is connected.
Also, does the phone need to be switched off for it to be recognised? Or does it need to start booting after a shutdown?
One more, initiate "download to phone" from flashtool and then connect phone or vice versa?

The zip I downloaded is this: "SP_Flash_Tool_exe_Windows_v5.1520.00.000"
Yes it has to be switched off first and then to be connected. As for the last question I don't remember exactly because I tried many times in different ways and I don't remember which worked in the end.

The problem with this one was phone never stayed off. It would just keep switching on and getting stuck at boot screen.
I managed to fix it. Used 532 SP tool. Used an XP computer with anti virus turned off. To keep the phone shut down, I let it run out of juice (took a loooooooong time, not looking forward to doing this again), and then used an older usb cable to just get the phone to stay alive on usb current. Once you get the vcom loader message for mt65xx for usb recognition, that's when you're good to go.

Yeah the g is the Mediatek processor and needs to be flashed with flashtools and the phone off I believe. Not many custom roms for it either. So you think you flashed the wrong rom and did you use flashtools ? There's also a quad core version and octa core version that can't use each other's custom roms I believe. One is MT682 and the other is MT692 for octa core I believe.

Oh , yeah. My bad. I was tired last night and helping a few different people here and in other sites so the recovery flash slipped by me. Your going to have to get the phone powered down (either by you or by it draining down.)and use flashtools again I believe. Assuming that's what you used initially. XDA member Nukaru has helped people with Mediatek chipsets more than I have ( I have the a5_chl snapdragon) and I would recommend getting her help. I've never used flashtools with the Mediatek devices just ADB/fastboot with Qualcomm.

I get all that . The phone won't enter recovery or bootloader or OS and keeps rebooting. I believe it's going to have to completely power down either by you or the phone itself then use flashtools. I provided a link to a flashtools forum for the HTC Mediatek devices. Yours is included. Also contact Nukaru as she has direct experience with the Mediatek chipset. The phone is going to have to run down basically so you don't get any reboots but like I said the Mediatek isn't my area of expertise. Follow my advice and you'll get it figured out. Good luck.

Don't be sorry I'm happy to help. That's my understanding but bear in mind my knowledge with the Mediatek is really limited. I know you need flashtools and I'm pretty sure the device needs to be powered off. After that I'm kind of out of my area of expertise. Been told by Nukaru that the Mediatek is actually easier to flash/work with so that's good. Send her a PM and when she's not busy I'm sure she will try to help you here.

Just popped in, I think I can help you.
SP Flashtool can detect the device even if it is on bootloop. On SP Flashtool just tick all items except preloader then click on download and connect the phone to the PC. If it still does not get recognized try holding the power button while you are connecting it to the PC to try and force it into the switched off state
The best way to flash RUU on a mediatek device is ALWAYS to remove the battery. Not removing the battery can brick your device!
To help I'll need more information about your device.
1. What RUU did you flash? European or Indian?
2. When and where was this phone bought, which region?

Have you tried a different driver for your USB Port? Or connecting the device to another USB Port?
Flashtools won't disconnect, if the battery is removed, that's why it's always the safest bet to remove the battery.
