Car DVR Resolution Issue - MTCB Android Head Units Q&A

I'm using a Joying J-U1004 with the included DVR camera and a Logitech C260 and cannot record over 640x480p. No option to select resolution on the included Car Record App. Tried DailyRoads Voyager and get an error trying to record at 720p or higher. Both cameras can record at 720p or better on my computer but noth the stereo. Anyone else using the DVR?

[Q] Can someone confirm surround sound 5.1 or 7.1 watching movies?

I would like to know if hdmi setting for our Note 2 gives real possibility to use 5.1 or 7.1 surround audio.
That's what I tried. I was connecting it to my LCD TV Sharp LC46x20e using mhl adapter and hdmi cable. Sound was sent from optical output on the TV to my Logitech z5500 speakers.
The audio was pretty good, but unfortunately it wasn't Dolby or DTS (only Prologic surround from the speakers).
So either TV doesn't send correct 5.1 signal to the speakers or my video players (stock Samsung, MX Player and Dice Player) can't send 5.1 signal or Note 2 simply doesn't send 5.1
It would be very helpful for me if someone would be able to confirm any of those statements as I'm thinking of buying something like this to route the sound directly to the speakers without passing it through the TV and in effect achieve true 5.1 surround sound.
Have you tried Setting-->My device--> Accessories-> HDMI-Audio output--> Stereo/Surround option?

Using external microphone when filming

I have managed to get an external microphone to work with my fairphone but only on the voice recorder. It seems to automatically take the audio from true external (radio) mic. I can't get it to work with the video which is crucial for me because I bought the phone to film from a distance y=using the radio mic. Ideas please?
Maybe try a different Video capture APP? Or record audio separately with the voive recorder.

[ Q ] Video recording using External Mic ( stereo )

It's there a way to use the tablet like a high def camcorder as Lollipop supports now USB audio?
- video its great
- audio not really
Purpose is to use mics like Zoom h2n, as a stereo mic for videos recorded with our tab s beasts .
The TRRS workaround its only recording MONO.
The AUDIOFI software I use its only for AUDIO rec.
Need a program that eats video and audio simultaneously.
Any ideas ?

Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Open Camera app with Bluetooth Microphone Audio input

Hi All,
I have been using the Open Camera app for my video recordings on the Mi A2 Lite so far pretty successfully..This App is really nice with all the options also getting me
nice 4K Footage with high Datarates...
Now I want to shoot some interviews where I need to have a wireless Audio interface, using either my Stereo Bluetooth Headset,
Bagotte Sport Kopfhörer Kabellos with Bluetooth V4.1 + EDR-Audio-Decodingtechnology with HD-Microphone with CVC6.0, so
see: https://amzn.to/2V8bAdg
which claims to have a HD Microphone and supports Apt-X Codecs...
But I can´t get it to work with Open Camera APP. I also tried using the External Microphone settings and have tested a few BlueTooth Audio routing apps..
but I could not get the Open Camera App to work with this headset....
But there is a video which shows, how to change the Bluetooth codecs in the Mi A2 Lite:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVK4UIHOEGE
And I can also change this in my phone....
But I am always stuck with the lower quality SBC 8 Khz sampling codec, especially, when using Audio calls in Skype or other Bluetooth Audio recorder
apps.
I only found one app, that works with the headset for video recording that was
Wireless Video Recorder App
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.webmirchi.Wirelessvideorecorder
but there is the problem, that I can not switch it to 4K, although it shows the setting and
also the audio with the Bluetooth headset is only recording with 8 Khz sampling frequency with my headset, so the sound is
just very muffled and has no good audio....
So is there any solution to get the Open Camera App to work with Bluetooth headsets and also switching the codecs, so to get
a real good Wideband Audio codec with at least 16 Khz sampling frequency or better at least 44 or 48 Khz ?
Many thanks.
Regards, Stefan.
It seems from some other replies in another thread, that the MiA2-Lite has a bad Bluetooth implementation....
So I guess it is better then to just buy a wireless audio interface and put it into the Microphone-Headphone connector or go via USB to connect
an external Wireless microphone....
Does anybody know how to connect a USB microphone or an analog Audio interface via the USB connector and can it then be used together with Open Camera ??
Many thanks.

Screen mirror Kenwood & JVC

So i recently purchased JVC KW-M25BT. Supports screen mirroring using this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jvckenwood.mirroringOAjvc
When i mirror my phone it's like 20fps on reciever (tried with different android phones), so right now im exploring some options. Does someone own similiar reciever and can share their experience?
Hi!
I have this car radio too (JVC kw-m25bt). Mirroring works, but can't handle the phone's aspect ratio (19.5:9). Image on the radio is cropped.
Therefore, I do not use mirroring, the image is as large as on the phone.
Radio isn't the best, but I have the biggest problem with adjusting the volume. Very uncomfortable.
