Aukey triplink - General Accessories

Has anyone had success connecting to the SD card via wifi on this accessory without using aukey's provided app? I'm thinking there's some way to add a wireless drive with some app to manage it?

I can get to it via: 10.10.10.254/data/UsbDisk1/Volume1/
To see all devices connected try: 10.10.10.254/data

Hello.
Is possible to use it as a NAS?
Eg. Connect the triplink with an rj45 cable to my Home wifi router and share/store my stuff in a sd/pen drive
Thank you

[Q] Remote control PC using Wifi

Hi everyone. OK so I've seen a lot op apps for android to control your PC, like Unified Remote. But every app I've seen requires the user to connect both the phone and the pc to a wireless router.
I want to be able to access my pc DIRECTLY through my phone using my Wifi adapter that is plugged into my PC, and control it that way.
I don't want to connect my pc to the wifi router before I can control it.
Does anyone know how to do this; and is it ever possible to do this???
As another case.. Do you like to use USB instead WiFi? Or Bluetooth?
It is to simple for words:
1. go to wifi
2. go to wifi-hotspot
3. enable it
4. go to your pc and look for HTC Portable Hotspot
Simpler way..... only PC and smartphone that's all

You should be connected to internet from your computer and phone through your Wifi Adapter. If both PC and phone are connected to internet, you can access your PC from phone using various applications such as TeamViewer, unified remote etc.
Also, if you would like to have remote access between computers, you can use various remote support services such as gosupportnow, logmeinrescue etc.

[Q] Direct USB Tether to PS3?

Hi guys!
Just a thought, I have a PS3 and I have access to a local wifi, but due to the wifi having a MAC Filter the PS3 can not connect so I had a thought of USB Tether my Wildfire to PS3..
BUT
When I read online, I saw that I must use a computer & Cross over Ethernet cable to the PS3, and I don't have a the right cable..FYI My computer is also allowed on the local wifi.
SO
My question is this: Is there anyway to DIRECTLY USB tether my Wildfire to the PS3?
Why not white list the PS3?
I wonder if just using the USB Tethering option in Cyanogenmod 7 would work?
Does your Wildfire have access to the Wifi?
I wonder if you were to use a USB Wifi Adapter connected to your Computer/Laptop to create a 'Hotspot' from which your PS3 could connect? Alternatively you could I guess try this maybe...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1172528 - (Reverse Tethering PC/Laptop Internet to Phone) and then whilst connected... setting up the portable hotspot feature on your phone?
I hope one of these works for you.
Hope I've not confused anyone too much lol

I do not have access to the router & I can't contact the guy who owns the wifi because he's working away for a while.

From what I understood, Portable Hotspot only uses 3G / hsdpa connection and I want to use WiFi connection as I do not have an unlimited data plan.
I have seen the Reverse Tether guide before and have used this for another Buzz I own.

"Reverse USB tethering" no root (Wired internet on PC tethered to offline Tablet)

"Reverse USB tethering" no root (Wired internet on PC tethered to offline Tablet)
Hi all,
I've seen lots of tethering aps that let you share your mobile device's internet connection with a PC via USB.
I'm wondering if I can do the reverse. I'd like to share the wired connection of a PC with my offline Tablet via USB (no wifi available).
Can it be done without root?
I think it is only possible with a Ethernet to micro usb

Yes it can be done. You need an OTG cable, then a supported USB to Ethernet adapter. I will not elaborate any further, this has been discussed many times in numerous forums (there is a great thread in the Nexus 7 2012 version section about what USB to Ethernet works and what does not - mind you the Apple adapter does and you can eBay it brand new for like 5$).
There is currently a bug in the Nexus 7 2013, the adapter is seen properly, but DHCP fails, and I tried manual address assignment, but DNS resolution still gives me issues. You can either get a patch for it, or wait for Google to fix it.

I can confirm it works (the mentioned Reverse USB Tethering). I set it up on Fedora 18 but only with root.
I found a USB wifi dongle that could act as an access point and run it in access point mode on my PC so my tablet can connect with wifi. No USB cables to fool with .

Hi! I've written an app for Reverse Tethering that does not need a rooted device. I've opened a dedicated thread for the app here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-reversetethering-noroot-t3316716

[Q] Ethernet "Greyed Out"

Recently I bought a micro USB to LAN adapter for the 8.4 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Micro-Mbps-Ethernet-Adapter-Tablet/dp/B00AKXE59E/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1399975910&sr=1-1&keywords=lan+to+micro+usb+adapter
But, when I connect to to my router, I'm unable to connect to the internet via LAN as "Ethernet" is always greyed out in the menu.
I'm pretty sure in the past when I connected a laptop, I just plugged in it and away it went.
So I don't think I need to alter anything on the router.
Is there a way or enabling LAN on the tablet, should it self enable when the cable is connected or is the adapter not suitable ?
Thank you.

Never mind, yet another request for help unanswered.
Anyone ?
I did the same and after a few days of trying to connect it finally worked - for one day! Now the ethernet option is greyed out again, so it does not seem to be the gadget but the tablet. Also had been using an external keyboard and mouse which quit at the same time. So much easier to troubleshoot a real computer. You just dont have access to anything but the 'user friendly' interface with these devices!

[Q] SideSync 3.0 to desktop without Wi-Fi

I have gotten SideSync 3.0 to work with my desktop (running Win7) via USB3.0.
My desktop does not have Wi-Fi and is connected to the router via Ethernet. I was wondering if Side Sync could establish a connection on the Note 3 from the desktops ethernet to the Note 3's Wi-fi in the same way LG's On Screen Phone does.
Also, what is browse my mobile?
Thanks!
Scruffy,
Did you ever get an answer to this question? I also want to do this over ethernet instead of WiFi..
Unfortunately from my desktop PC SideSync works only via USB; it seems that it requires a Wi-Fi connection present on the computer where it is installed.

Correct. It uses wifi direct.
Sent from my leanKernel 3.14 powered stock 4.4.2 SM-N900T
Latest version has added LAN option.
But my case is a little more complicated. I connect my computer using an Ethernet to WiFi adapter. The adapter connects to the WiFi network of my router but the computer connects to the adapter by Ethernet so still unable to use SideSync
I have already used 3 WiFi USB dongles in my computer and for some strange reason, they all stopped working after a few months of use, that's why I moved to the Ethernet to WiFi adapter.
The problem seems to be the LAN to wich my computer connects is a small LAN created by the adapter, so it is a different LAN from the one created by the router. I have no idea how to solve this.
Yes I can connect to PC without wlan installed on PC:
PC system windows 10
Connected via QR-Code
