Oneplus X cases - doesn't quite fit perfectly? - OnePlus X Accessories

I've bought the black apricot case, I liked the look and expected the wood to feel good in the hand as well.
As I tried it out, my phone had wiggle room inside the case. Disappointing for an expensive case...
Felt cheap and flimsy, but the phone was actually harder to get back out of the case compared to normal cases.
I fixed the wiggly-ness by putting some layers of toilet paper in between the case and the phone.
Sounds like a silly move, but it actually worked for me, feels solid and steady now.
Still don't think you should take the phone out of the case too often though, feels like the wood would break easily if you overdo it...
It does look good imo, strangely (as opposed to feeling like actual wood) it feels sort of like cardboard-like to me,
but still it feels good, not plastic/rubber-like.
I do believe it actually is wood, it looks almost identical to the pic on the site but the patterns are unique for every case (ordered one for a friend too, they're not identical).
Overall I'm happy I purchased it, even though initially I was sort of disappointed by the wiggly feel.
Now I can only knock on wood (pun intended) the case will last a long time!
Any more people with experiences to share about the cases? Do other cases feel flimsy too?

I have the same apricot case, and is very firm. It feels very premium and is quite nice.

Got a rosewood case here, though I wish I waited for the sale. I paid a little extra because I ordered it before US preorders were open, thinking it was out of stock and still would be out of stock when preorders opened.
The case does feel awesome though, no wiggle room and very firm. I'm not an expert on materials but it does feel and sound like real wood to me.

Got the bamboo-case and looks cheap as hell, does not fit perfectly either... I'm really disappointed.
Wanted to send the case back but got the answer from oneplus that I can only send back originally sealed packages...

My rosewood case is the same way. It feels like it's made of cardboard and the phone is not gripped as tight as I'd like it to be. There's a slight amount of rattling around. Waste of $25.

Someone with sandstone case?? I ordered it yesterday because don't like translucent default case.

I have the karbon and the same problem. I sometimes feel the phone moving inside the case... 25€ wasted also.
I've bought now one diztronic case. Hope they are has I'm used to.

Hi all
I just got my original oneplus x flip case. Fits well. It will put phone to sleep when close, and awake when open. Just that it does no cover all the sides.

My phone moves around in its case too (Karbon). Think I'm going to check out a Spigen case

You've got to be extremely careful but on the Karbon case I applied a bit of pressure after taking it off my phone for like a minute and it no longer moves . Fits like a glove. That means I won't be buying the $15 Spigen.

I bought a flip case (original from the site) and it fits perfectly and the material is 100% better than chinese non branded cases

Video Review of the Hybrid Case from Reiko

So I purchased the Reiko hybrid/kickstand case off of Amazon (you can also get on eBay... they run $8-15). I chose the white because I have a white note, but it comes in several other very attractive colors as well (including multi-colored versions like red and black).
Overall, I am very pleased and impressed with the quality, especially for the price. Highly recommended. Here's my video review:
(Note: Mine is the AT&T LTE version of the Note, but the case works on both and is actually designed for the international version and comes with a screen protector designed for the international version as well. The screen protector has the hole for the button that the AT&T version doesn't have, but the case fits the AT&T version perfectly).
Really great case! I have the same blue.
Yeah I'm definitely digging it so far... And for under $15!
Nice, thanks for the heads up. Going to try this one as well
FYI, it is available on Amazon too: http://amzn.to/zIFOpR
Nice review, but I think the Casemate POP! case a would be better, when and if it comes out. I didn't like the overall look of the case too. But great review!

I'm not big on cases that are hard to get out of your pocket. It's also a lint magnet. Bah
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note.
I got mine a few days ago and love it. Looks great, protects great and no lint issues for me

I got one of the black ones, the fit actually seemed kind of sloppy, like the plastic inner case was just slightly (we're talking hundredths of an inch) loose, and the rubber outer layer didn't lay flat on the back, both of those issues might have been okay if the rubber backing needed to be "stretched" over the inner case, but it just slips on. For a $15 case that isn't really a big deal, I guess, but I wouldn't accept that in a Casemate/Otterbox level case.
Overall it was just too bulky and "sticky" for getting in/out of my pockets easily, and I stopped using it within a couple days. It's a good case for $15, but if I have to live with it every single day, I'm definitely picking up a Casemate or Otterbox case instead. They're expensive but the quality is outstanding.

Tudia Ultra Slim Melody Case

Has anyone got one? They look nice and get good reviews on Amazon but would be good if someone who has one could post some pics of the real thing. I have the Spigen ultra hybrid which looks great but adds a lot of bulk to the phone and doesn't feel so great. I also have a cheapo tpu case which actually feels great but the finish is a bit poor and its a little saggy.

Really works for me. Try this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00FOAK9CK?ie=UTF8&force-full-site=1&ref_=aw_bottom_links
I don't have one, nor any experience with the maker, but they do look on the thicker side for TPU cases.
Now it's working... how so?
Yeah it seems like on the thicker side.
Got one of these today and really love it! Fantastic case.
"TPU" and "Ultra Slim" should never be uttered in the same sentence unless that sentence is "Nothing about TPU is ultra slim by any stretch of the imagination."
stahp.
Great case! Fits the phone perfectly without room for it to slide up and down inside the case. Buttons are not too hard to press but a little more difficult. All ports are accessible. The speaker grill cut out isn't perfectly put, but is just fine.

Got it the other day - nice case fist really well with no saggyness, I have ditched my spigen ultra hybrid for this as that whilst looking cool was too bulky.
This is a mediocre case at best. It's slim, but has the sticky feel of glossy TPU, which I hate. The design on the back may or may not appeal to you -- I found it repulsive. Overall, with this case, you get what you pay for. I personally think it ruins the aesthetics of the Nexus 5.

If the back is so repulsive why on earth did you buy it in the first place? It was quite evident in the pictures and listings that it was glossy tpu and the back was the way it is. Surely one of the main reasons people buy this case is because they like the design on the back. The case is cheap but alot better quality than other tpu cases ( of which I have bought 2) of a similar price and ruins the aesthetics no more than any other case, compared to other cases I have bought including the spigen it follows the contours of the phone well.

Do you honestly think I would have bought it if I had known that I didn't like the back design? It looked great in the photo, but not when I had it in my hands.

Moto G Bumper Cases

Looks like the gates are slowly opening for more variety of cases being made to sold on ebay now.
Here's the link. These bumpers are probably the same kind as the ones Poetic made for their Nexus cases considering the color schemes are eerily similar. I think I'll buy the yellow and black one.
Looks pretty good. Thoughts?
Not enough protection for me. But if you like it, go for it.
Just bought the yellow one. I'll post a mini review and or photos if anyone wants them.

For a keychain like those really thin nylon stringed ones from those retro cellphones. Very popular in Asian countries.
And I'll do a mini review, don't worry!

It arrived yesterday and I've been gathering my thoughts on this case. First of all, if you did order this, expect it to be delivered within 20 days or so. Mine took a long time.
This case/bumper feels very rigid and grippy despite the shiny borders that clamps down the sides of the phones. As you can see, I bought the yellow version to differentiate my phone a bit in spite of the boring black phone. The buttons feel pretty solid and aren't mushy as some might be worried. The case seems to offer decent protection too, and should aid against minor bumps or drops. My only complaint was that it does make the phone a bit wider and taller than other cases I have. I have an old blue TPU case that I bought a long time ago, and it is ever so slightly taller and wider in comparison. Most shouldn't notice the difference though, I just have an eye for those niggling details.
Overall, I'd give the case a 9/10. I think it's superbly solid for the price and I love the colors of the black and yellow that it provides my phone.
Also, sorry for the bad photos. I didn't realize how bad my old digital camera had gotten.
Bought one just now. This will be my fifth case for Moto G

Hi although the official grip cover looks cool on the device and doesnt add extra thickness to the device.. I am not very confident about how well it would protect the device..hence I have been thinking about getting a Cruzerlite Bugdroid Circuit Case for the phone. Any of you who have been using the Cruzerlite Bugdroid Circuit Case kindly provide some feedback..how thick does it make the phone ? Does it really protect the phone well ?

SlickWraps - Not previously a fan but...

the fit was actually pretty good on the G6. I think it's because of the chamfered edges. The fit on my iPhone 7 Plus was horrible because of the rounded edges. I didn't like how the fit and finish wasn't quite as perfect as my OCD demands. I ripped that one off practically immediately. On my HTC 10 I had a Nude wrap that was terrible because the glue on it could be seen right thru the clear skin as well as all the slight imperfections. It just made a gorgeous device look pitted and ugly. So for the LG G6 I got a skin that wasn't see thru but had a design. I got the StormTrooper because I felt it complemented the platinum G6 well. I only wanted the back skin but unfortunately they only sell the set. This is probably the first SW skin I'm happy with. Check out my YT vid here:

Yup, the leather ones look good. I'm tempted to order one of those too but I'm hoping dbrand comes out with a few other colors in leather because theirs are less expensive and the quality is pretty good.

Dbrand is nice, but they don't have any real leather (or wood for that matter) skins, just leather textured ones.
Then again, you probably couldn't fit the phone in a case after sticking some leather on it's back either so both versions have their pros and cons.
Thanks for that video... I have actually ordered the slickwraps and waiting to be shipped to Canada...
Edit: I got mine and put it on... Looks real nice, and I credit myself for doing a good job
I got a Dbrand sticker for mine, just to cover the ugly fingerprint magnet shiny black back, because I don't use a case. It looks really great and it fits perfectly, without interfering at all with the fingerprint reader or camera.
I got a Carbon for mine from SW, it's pretty good. Usually go with DBrand but they don't offer any options for the sides.
Huge Thanks!
LG G6 = Indian Unit (870DS) || Skin = Slickwrap - Dark Brown NATURAL SERIES WRAPS || Side Skin = GT-5000 Grip Tape || Launcher = Action Launcher
Just want to throw this out there for those who are considering a leather skin.
The leather skin is of great quality, but it is rather thick and will not be compatible with most cases. They are different from Dbrand leather skins in that respect. The quality, as i said, is great, but due to the thickness they dont fit with cases. I would estimate that the skin adds about 2 mm of thickness to the back.

You are right, I haven't been able to use any case with the leather skin. But man this phone feels so good without a case. The leather nails how it looks !!!!!!!!!!!!

No.
You can make any skin a pixel skin; cut the top off.
Just to let you guys know, Slickwraps currently has a 50% off sale!
And thanks for all the info in here. Since my G6's glass back is already pretty scratched after a few months of use and as it's the worst fingerprint magnet ever, those back wraps look like the perfect solution.

CAFELE case - best case for mi a1

Hi I wanted to show you what I think is the best case for mi a1. It's very light, thin, it doesn't make your phone bricky, it fits perfectly and is very sturdy on the edges on the phone. It costs 3 dollars here:
Cafele Matte TPU Phone Case for Xiaomi MI 5X ( A1) Ultra-thin 0.6mm Anti-fingerprint TPU Cover for Xiaomi A1

(from AliExpress Android)
I picked red one, photos here:
Yeah, it's almost perfect, I have the same, just without any kind of branding for 1 USD from eBay

Just search for "Ultra Thin Soft TPU Silicone Matte Rubber Case Cover For Xiaomi Mi A1" on eBay. But for example here. Black is for 0.99USD, colored ones are a bit more expensive at 1.25USD.
A have unbranded one also red from aliexpress. It's very cool, not bulky but little slippery.
It's discounted now, link

well, nillkin is more rugged, so if you tend to drop your phone i'd go with that one, but since i do not drop mine, i just want to protect it from scratches and i went with this thin case.
I've got the same case. Paid $2 shipped on eBay. This case retains the slim feel of the phone...not like you're picking up a brick.
God, I ordered the same one but I was hopping a more red color than what you show on your pics, it seems like your case is more red/pink rather than a strong red, Am I correct?

Yes the red colour is not as strong and bright red as I thought, but it is red. I took pictures with xiaomi redmi note 4 and yes it looks pinky on the photos. The red is kinda washed out but I still like it. Looks better in natural light, and fit and quality is good. I'm going to order one more in different colour.
I just ordered it from aliexpress for the same color as red. I hope the color will look good.
I have one red and one black. They are really nice.
Font
Using the same, but black color. Beautifull but not the best protection for drops.
Gets loose pretty easily
I bought one, cut outs are pretty good of this case. But finger print cutout is not good. After few days of use it got loose and wubbly
A Better Case
For me I like the Carbon Fiber one. It's for those who are looking for something more sturdy, unfortunately it makes the phone slightly bulky (I like this because I play a lot of games, easy to hold), but for those who are looking for something slender, it's not the way to go.
aliexpress.com/item/For-Xiaomi-Mi-5X-Case-For-Xiaomi-Mi-5X-Cover-Slim-Carbon-Fiber-Soft-Case-For/32829899124.html
I didn't buy it here, but these are the cases. I got the black one + my gold Xiaomi Mi A1. It's superb quality.
I accidentally dropped my phone multiple times and face-first, but this case delivered. It protects the phone because the rims of the case are slightly above the phone's screen, and since it's carbon fiber, it's as sturdy as a rock. :good:
I think the best case is to get standard silicon transparent case to show my beautiful Red edition Mi A1
thanks for the tip, super cheap
bought one just now
Cafele back covers and glass protector are top quality and feels very premium in hand. They are surely little expensive but one can only feel difference when they hold it in hand
