Looking for app testers - android - Testing

Hi guys,
Actually, I'd like to know which foreground processes run on different devices. Especially Samsung phones. Do you know some services/people who might help in that? Any freelance sites or some other sources would come in handy too. Or maybe someone at XDA is doing such things?
Thanks

Hi,send me an inbox message, and tell me more about your app. I have some Samsung devices, maybe I can help you just a little!

Please send me more details

[POLL]Appubator to make a new Facebook app for WinMo.

Hello fellow xdarians..
I browse WMexperts and WMpoweruser daily and I found this article:
http://wmpoweruser.com/?p=12990
Has anyone already heard about it?
They simple take ideas of people and if it is good enough they will make the app and even share the profit with you but money is not important here, is it??
To the point!
Since everyone is aware that MS Facebook app really sucks, I decided to write these guys to make a decent FB app like iPhones have.
What do you think?
Good idea?
Please share your thoughts in this poll.
PS: This is what I wrote them...I will also post their reply if I'll get any.
LET'S HOORAY FOR A NEW FACEBOOK APP THAT KICKSASS
Hello Appubator Team
I stumbled across an article about your plans to simply make people’s ideas come true.
I would like to get straight to the point.
Since we, Windows Mobile users (no offense to current FB app developer) have really crappy FaceBook application, I would like to ask you to create a perfect Facebook app. Like iPones users have. Even better
Is this possible?
Please let me and the WinMo community know what do you think.
Thank you.
PS: I don’t want 30% of the revenue.
All I (or rather said, we, Windows Mobile users) want is a good Facebook app.

Well, since the MS Facebook application did have a lot of negative comments, it would be nice to see someone trying to make it better for the WM users. And, the request itself can't hurt, so - yes is my vote.
Good idea.
Just do it, do it, do it do it do it, nooow=)! It would be great!!!
Surely want one. Microsoft's Facebook app is extrememly ugly even I don't wanna show that screen to my friend. And I cannot accept that lack of funtionality.
Please make one.

[Q] Help! Need Tester for App

Hello,
I'm working on the next release of komodo contacts. To find it search the market for komodo.
I would post a link if i could.
I only have a HTC Hero and Nexus One to use for testing.
I have reports the current version of the app in the market is Force Closing on the EVO.
Would any of you be kind enough to post the log cat of the crash if it crashes for you?
Mucho Gracias!!
I'm game, but what exactly does this do?
Thanks!
It basically shows you a list of all contacts and allows you to sort them in different ways. Also picking a contact will show you all the "meta data" about that contact.
Thanks alot for your help!
You can get more information on my website here www . komodocontacts . com
your website only has the one screen shot and doesn't give any other information. Might want to update that before you ask for testers as personally i would like to see what your product is about before i give it access to contact information. Not saying anything is not above board, but generally a little more information would be required.

i just downloaded it, it seems to be running okay. Most features are "Not Implemented" but that's expected
Thanks double.
And yes i will be updating the website with more information once it gets closer to release.
The app has just basic sorting functionality now nothing malicious. It does not update any contact information just view only. The download page on the site has a little bit more about what the app actually does.
I had a user report a FC on EVO i thought it might be related to some funky groups created by the sprint rom.
anyways thanks for your help glad to hear its running ok on an evo.
okay, i did get a few FCs using bakedsnack, but still none with cm6. don't know if it's a sense problem or what. can't wait to see this app with full functionality. also i do not know if this is where i should be posting or if you'd prefer a PM.

DEVELOPERS ONLY- developer weekend conference.

THIS IS FOR DEVELOPERS ONLY. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY SKILLS AT ANDROID DEVELOPMENT, OR ARENT CURRENTLY PLANNING ON OR CURRENTLY MAKING SOMETHING NEW FOR OUR DEVICE DO NOT REPLY. THIS IF FOR DEVELOPERS ORGANIZATION ONLY. IF YOU WANT TO LEARN THE BASICS OF DEVELOPING THOUGH, OR WANT TO SEE IF YOU CAN HELP US, DO NOT POST HERE, ASK ANY DEVELOPER THROUGH PM.
Well, I had to get that out of the way.
Me and Adriel were talking for a while today, and were thinking of having a developer conference for all developers of our device on the weekends. He has a business gotomeeting account we can use to audio chat, and share our computer screens live (and not use actual cameras for privacy reasons). We can have up to 25 people at a time. What we want to do is to get as many developers as we can on so we can talk about all our current projects, ways we tried to get stuff working, and what we want to do going forward. We also want to use it so that people (like myself) who are newer to development can ask the more experienced devs questions to get themselves better, and we can all maybe be on the same skill level eventually, and in general get more stuff for our devices going. Me and adriel are both able to do this on Sunday (me in the afternoon, Adriel TBA), and we wanted to see who else can join us. I want to be able to get this as a monthly thing if possibly on the weekends, and maybe weekly per availability on a smaller scale. Also if we can get it working, I want to find a free version to do the same thing, and allow anyone with development experience to host a group to allow general users to ask questions, and try to learn development themselves. I believe besides just normal test/audio chat being able to see each other's computer screens (hide anything personal first) would allow us to use much easier visual learning, and help the community as a whole. Tell me what you all think.
You can count me in.. I'm pretty new to development though... I'm just starting to get my feet wet... My only dev work (sorta)... Is the porting of the Lewas Rom to my beloved EVO 4G .... But I'm definitely interested in developing for this device (well at least learn something)...

Another original Evo user! awesome! Well instead of using gotomeeting we might just use google+ hangout- much easier, and dont need adriel to be on each time. I suggest taking your username and creating a google account with it for the hangout. for example mine is [email protected]. I will be on all weekend on google+ now.
Count me in!
I may or may not be available but most devs know how to contact me.

What is Optimus Prime's full name?
Optimus G. Prime
well the only issue I see here is gotomeeting doesn't support linux, so that eliminates me.
Whats wrong with everyone just hoping on an irc channel?

Shelnutt2, i was gonna suggest this type of thing. i noticed the current irc room is just noobs and what not who need help fixing/lgnpst'ing their phones. why not make two rooms #lgog-help and a dev room for you guys and testers.
that way, the dev talk isn't washed out with people needing help fixing their phones and dumb questions about eta

We decided to use Google+ instead. Much easier since its browser based, but only ten people. If someone wants to get $3 we can get up to 250 on oovoo.
Also IRC is good, but it doesn't allow us to see the persons screen, so no visual help. I can then see exactly what you click on, and just talk and not worry about talking while working. And if someone's getting help they can just listen to suggestions, and not have to look at a chat screen if they don't have multiple monitors. Also for chat for developers I was thinking of maybe using something besides freenode. Its not very mobile friendly, and I personally don't like it. Gtalk is the best for one on one it seems like, but we something like palringo- download the app on any OS for any smartphone/computer/tablet. Chats as big as we want for free, and it supports pictures and short audio clips. Also private messaging, bots, and such. And you just right click some bodies name to mod, admin, ban, or silence them. And permanent ban is possible. Then we can keep anyone not wanted out, but still let normal users that don't bug the channel float around and watch our chats. If anybody has another alternative to palringo, please tell me. I want us all to be as connected as possibly, and in all formats without it being a hassle. I want us accessible to each other, and even to normal flashaholics through chat, screen cast, and audio. Always accessible in case someone has an issue with a ROM or mod. Makes development easier.

Gtalk can have multiple people in a party chat. Also, there are several irc apps for Android.

Okay. How would you go about doing that on GTalk? Still fairly new to it.

On android, just open a chat, then menu, add friends and you can pick who to invite... Probably something similar on other clients.

I'll edit this as needed; however, I would like to get this seriously off it's feet. These are the following courses that I would be the best to learn for now. And have different developers teaching the course work once a week.
If we start tomorrow, we'll literally start extremely easy; however, it'll get harder. I think it'll be best if dedicated an hour and a half to all lessons (More for more difficult subjects) and developers teaching should have an agenda in mind. Here's a weekly schedule that sounds like it'll be beneficial.
Week 1: Copy & Paste Rom
Folder and File Structure (10 minutes)
Top Level Modifications (20 Minutes)
Updater Script (Commands and Permissions) (20 Minutes)
Implementing Aroma Scripts and Modified Updater Script (40 Minutes)
Week 2: De-compiling and Theming
Week 3: Setting up Linux Development Environment
Week 4: Developing a ROM from Source
Week 5: Developing a Kernel from Source
If you're a developer and want to teach any one of these, please reach out to me.
Some responsibilities for teaching include recording your screen as you present. This is specifically to be able to upload the video to youtube afterwards so that anyone can watch if they miss the session. The only disadvantage for users that watch the video is the inability to ask questions during the tutorial.
I'll also make accommodations for the developer depending on what they need. I'll help find solutions for video capturing software, which shouldn't be difficult.
Hopefully we can get this off the ground so that people are more knowledge about ROM development. Most of these tutorials can already be found online; however, it's always difficult to get started.
Thanks,
Adriel
If anybody wants, I am on right now. I can do the week 1 tutorial for new people, or talk about current projects with other devs.
I am on google+ under evo dev. my gtalk and email to find me is [email protected]. If you cant find me on google+ shoot me an email, and ill send you invite to a hangout. just put your hand over your camera so you can switch it off, then turn on screen cast. You can also use a normal chat if you dont have a headset or built in mic.

[WIDGET] Fast charge widget toggle, need some help

Hello eveybody
So as I was developing robotics and other stuffs I got into knowing Android a bit better. As I, right now, don't have a developer account, I am interested in somebody if they want, to create a new widget which enables or disables the FAST CHARGE interface of phones.
As I was using Photoshop for more years now, If you are interested to make a free and a donate version I am here to help as much as I can. If there is a developer who is interested in this, please let me know, let's mock up some images and see what is likely for the community. Of course, later on we can evolve the widget or even create an app for this.
If there is somebody here who is interested, please let me know.
There is already a widget for it.
Beamed from my Maguro.

[BETA][WEB][ANDROID] A tool to collect, share and discover mobile apps. Need testers!

Last month we have gathered a lot of feedback and we have been working since to improve the app and the global experience. We had 700 new downloads. We have fixed a couple of things on the back-end and the app has been stable for few weeks.
For those who don't know Jungl, it is a place to share and discover mobile apps with your friends and people you can relate to. Everyone selects their favorite apps. You can browse other people's selections and see their discoveries. Like Tinder, Jungl is a swipe left or right and learns from your habits.
Link to Playstore
We are at the second round of feedback and already made massive improvement. We a few hundred users and I'd like feedback from XDA devs and readers.
We are working at putting out new updates as people find things the app needs, so please let me know of any feedback!
First post: I'm building a tool to have one single place to collect our favorite apps, make it easily viewable by anyone and discover other apps. At the moment I have an APK (beta) and a webapp (alfa) for testing.
I need testers and feedback to continue the development. If you want to test you can PM me and I'll send the version you wanna test. It is facebook connect and the test would work better if you get at least two of you facebook friends to do it with you.
I look forward to get some feedback !
