Question about rooting

Hello,
I have one question about rooting my ZenFone 2 (ZE550ML).
I just got it did all system updates on it and rooted it with the fast method (root_zenfone.bat)
And now i'm triing to install Xposed but i can't because i need to install with CWM(because it's lollipop) and I don't have the CWM
Should I root again my phone with the second method ( Root through temporary CWM) so I can have CWN and get my xposed ? or an other ?
If you can help me a bit, thanks.

No...You don't need CWM to install Xposed framework.... See this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/asus-zenfone-2-flashing-recovery-mode-t3096596 (#6 Xposed Framework Installer)...Just download the xposed framework installer and follow the steps given in the guide... You will get Xposed framework as i did exactly the same thing with the latest firmware and it works...

[Q] Xposed on 5.1?

Is it possible as of yet to install Xposed on 5.1 with the S6?
I have root, but the last time I tried to install TWRP and Xposed, I bricked my phone :c
Fortunately, I got it replaced

Not at this time. No Xposed.

xposed framework not found

From the official thread, I've installed XposedInstaller_3.1.1.apk and successfully flashed xposed-v87-sdk23-arm64.zip via TWRP.
Xposed says no framework is installed. Is this common? I am using the correct files, yes?

What version of android are you running? If it's N then xposed isn't working yet. If it's MM then just flash xposed framework, then the apk, then activate the modules and reboot should work.

I'm doing just that- isn't working. I even removed some system apps to give the partition some room because I got short write error a few times. No good.

As the others asked, are you on Nougat because if so, that's why. If I were you I'd use the Xposed uninstaller zip to uninstall that Marshmallow Xposed as you're not going to want to still have that when you install the Nougat one eventually. The Xposed app v3.1.1 doesn't need you to download and flash Xposed manually anyway. Once Xposed for Nougat is available, assuming it will be, then you just go to the Xposed app's Firmware tab while connected to the internet and it'll tell you if Xposed for Nougat is available. Of course, the app itself might need updating too.
If you look here https://source.android.com/source/build-numbers.html you can see what SKD level is equivalent to which Android version. The SDK23 Xposed you flashed is for Marshmallow. You need SDK24 for Nougat 7.x and SDK25 for Nougat 7.1.x.
Also, as soon as Nougat Xposed is released, I'm sure the thread title "[OFFICIAL] Xposed for Lollipop/Marshmallow [Android 5.0/5.1/6.0, v87, 2016/11/24]" will be changed to reflect Nougat compatibility.

Sorry everyone- I got tired of having to restore/wipe/start fresh from various issues I was having for this. No- I am not on Nougat.
However, I WAS on Nougat! I downgraded because reasons- FFRK (game) has nougat issues and is unplayable until 7.1 comes, and being HTC, that might be a while. Also, the whole TWRP thing on Nougat (which may be resolved soon, though).
Anyway, I'm wondering if the fact that I was MM --> N --> MM has anything to do with this? I'm on base 1.96.617.20 currently.
I do plan to try again soon. I plan to uninstall some system apps, wipe caches, flash xposed, wipe caches, install xposed app, see where that takes me, in that order. Unless there is something better you recommend?

If in doubt, flash an entire RUU, re-flash the stable TWRP and the Marshmallow ROM you want, and this time I'd try letting the Xposed app install the proper Xposed zip itself. The one you said would be correct for this phone on Marshmallow, but it's just easier letting the app install the correct one.
Good luck!

I actually just came from the RUU when I downgraded. I will post my results on my next attempts at this.
Could something from an installation of N have messed up any future installations of Xposed regardless of OS, or could the firmware have been the problem.
Xposed is 100% functional on MM so this should not be a problem, I can only imagine that something has been left behind.
Heres my walkthrough for installing Xposed and mods

I do believe you're right in that N has left something behind. I have a little more information to share-
I enjoy the HTC gallery and music apps, so I tried flashing them via the zip here. Turns out, via the log from flashing, this occurred (see below). After booting into the OS, the apps were no where to be found and not installed. It seems the system is not mounting. How though am I able to restore with backups in TWRP? Any possible causes (specifically from the N firmware) and fixes for this?

UPDATE:
I flashed ViperRom for Marshmallow. Decided to try xposed again while I was starting fresh- it worked! I'm not sure why it wouldn't work previously. The world may never know.

You have fulmics installed and operational?

magisk and stock LG based rom

Hi.
I flashed lastest desperate rom, a 5.0.2 stock LG rom.
I am unable to use snapchat because of the root.
But i need root and xposed.
So can i use magisk on my D802 with a lg stock based rom.
If your question is about using xposed and Snapchat, then just uninstall xposed, log in to Snapchat and install xposed again.
Snapchat works well with root just not with xposed.

I tried with uninstalled xposed and it was the same. I will try again
Uninstall the framework itself, not the app
Snapchat only detects the framework
