is my s621 bricked or is there hope

I've read all posts on the issue because it seems to be a common one , here's the story, I received this phone from a friend already bricked , what happens wen I try turnin it on it just stuck in booting
I can't hard reset
I can't flash, I either get invalid vendor I'd or model Id. Or curropt file ,
I already kno its not cid unlocked and apparently no form of unlocking was done to it ,
But in its current state what can be done , because I've tried everything already within my knowledge
One other issue is I don't kno what is the stock rom for it so I can't flash without getting invalid vendor I'd , it unbranded and just says htc ,

Anybody ? I know its a simple fix , I just wanna know what can be done

all i can think of is download the htc ROM (in the official roms sticky)since its an unbranded phone and hold camera while powering on and flash. sorry I cant be much help in this area, just and idea I dont know if you tried it yet.

I did try all htc roms and it says invalid vendor I'd or incorrect model

NONE a these linx helped

i have the same problem when flash to energy rom, it just stucks at booting screen and i cant do nothing about it, i cant connect to usb, what should i do ???

Did you CID unlocked your device before? If so, try an original rom from the sticky posted in the first page.

it wasnt
but its offficial now i tried all the roms there
none works

Then CID unlock it now. . .That's the problem for why you cant use any other ROMs.

there is still no way to cid it because i cant in the stock rom for it
it keeps telling me invalid vendor id or model id

My recommendation is that you contact your carrier and see if they can flash it to an original rom. HTC also can provide you a solution and hopefuly they can give you the original rom of your excalibur.

Makes no sense because in jamaica they don't do repairs like that here especially if it wasn't bought from them

It's not a dead case, if you can get it to bootloader your S621 is not dead try again to flash in different PC's and see what happens. See this thread it may be helpful http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=534725 because it definitely gives you hope.

Try this:
* Shut Down the device
* hold down the camera button located to the right of the space bar for like 10 seconds,
* while still holding it down plug the USB in and you should see the menu come up with three colors.
* This is where you load your original ROM and can connect with ur PC .......
* perform Install the OLD ROM (After Installation page seems to be stuckon T-Mobile Logo but give it 1-2 Minuts and it will switch to Cold Boot Device configuration)
* make sure @ll is ok : then Reboot
* Install the Updated one from NRG

[Q] Can flashing a custom ROM harm the phone's board ?!

I was trying to flash a custom ROM to my my htc DHD, changing the phone's ROM from Android Revolution HD 7.0.4 to a Miui ROM. During the process the mobile went to a complete black screen with nothing else happening, I opened the bootloader and the same thing happens when I try to boot to Recovery, but it still goes in fastboot when I connect the phone to the laptop, so I thought that I've mistakenly deleted the Recovery files from the phone, I tried to push the files using adb but it always said that the device is not found, after several tries I decided to pay a visit to htc customer service where they told me that the phone's board was harmed during the process, having bad history with htc customer service with 2 previous visits both went horribly wrong and they didn't even have the phone checked, only tried to boot it and then jumped to the conclusion, I've had to ask you people for help !!
Here is how I tried to flash the ROM to the already rooted mobile:
I some how thought about using the following method to change the recovery from EXT4 to ClockworkMOD .. I don't know what I was thinking or how high I was at that moment but it really happened using the Advanced Ace Hack Kit
Then the mobile has gone black and story I told before happened, my question now is, can this process or any software development process harm the phone's board by any means ?! and could this problem I'm facing be really with the phones board ?!

No, just head back to the hack kit forum there is a link there for IRC chat help from the guys there. You may have just corrupted your bootloader image. Those working in customer service can't tell you which end is their brain and which end is their rear

I've tried to contact them with the problem when it first happened but they refused to help me telling that I've used the kit for what it's not meant for .. they were kind of arrogant but .. they've got a point !

You will need to install the stock ATT gingerbread ROM using your PC: http://dl4.htc.com/RUU_Ace_Gingerbre...368_signed.exe You will then have to re-root using the Hack Kit.

No problem just remember read search and learn before you try anything on your phone, we all had to do it. Also stick with ext4 for rom flashing its what we all use. I dont even bother with rom manager anymore.

google the "RUU Ace Gingerbread S Cingular US 2.47.502.7 Radio 12.56.60.25 26.10.04.03 M release 200368 signed" then swich on the mobile and let load to the black screen that used to pop up to me, attach the mobile to the laptop and launch the stock ROM .. it'll do everything and leave the mobile with the stock unrooted ROM, then reroot the device with the aahk.

Guys pls help me out with this My HOX is H_044. i try to flash miui for my HOX and got bootloop so i decided to flash again to stock which is 2.17 asia wwe. the flashing is successful but when my HOX turns on its bootlooping so i tried all i can to solve this problem eventually i manage to solve it by flashing stock kernel.. then it booted but when i touch my screen it is completely unresponsive at all . i dont know what seems to be the problem. i send it to HTC service center to be repaired but the cost is too expensive ! they want me to pay 10,000 PHP without even diagnosing my phone :l ... i just want to know if this is really a hardware problem or software :l plsss answer me thanks in advance )

but is it really a hardware problem ?? because my HOX does not have any scratches at all . and i have not drop it yet . and the only solution is pay htc for about $200 ? xD im really freaking out here dude ))

Is there any progress on unbricking the htc one v, I've tried using the unlimited.io method with no luck, any help would be appreciated

its a jtag box that supports several htc phones by usb you just have to short the emmc while connecting the usb to get into qcom dload mode, if youve already got dload mode you just need to connect to the riffbox and hit ressurect (and set your cid to 11111111 if you want) it will get you back to the bootloader with s-off and you can flash an ruu from there to revive it fully

Can we purchase that from stores ??
And if its hard bricked ......will it work ??

not always, this problem shows for 2 things
1) ALL or some of the nand is broken due to radio and needs to go to HTC
2) as you said, IF it's just in DLOAD, and we have a program in the android development forum for it..

Btw if they take it to HTC what do they fix in it ??

Sorry to hear that bro..
Its possibly its a hard brick, you have to go to service center.
Searched it and found that it happened in past with some nexus/htc/lg device owners. They tried to repair it through flashing .img's to the respective partitions but ites not the case here since HTC did not provide any this kind of img files. So your best chance is to go to service center.
