About audio - Pixel C Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I have few questions regarding the Pixel C's audio.
Can someone tell me which audio chipset is used ?
Maybe a Wolfson one or Cirrus ...? Any chip reference would be appreciated.
Also does the AptX "Low Latency" codec is supported by the bluetooth embbeded ?
Thanks,

Aptx support

I read that actually oneplus 3 doesn't support Bluetooth aptx. I don't think that it will be implemented in future updates. Is there a way to include aptx support in custom roms? That would improve a lot Bluetooth audio quality!
Up
I tried it with a new apt-x receiver.
Sound quality is awful. Also volume is low.
With my old Samsung alpha it sounds ok though.
Would be nice if we could improve Bluetooth audio somehow
Aptx may be supported by custom kernels... We should ask to kernel developers for support. There won't be official support because oneplus didn't pay licenses for aptx support...

Viper4Android not working with usb dac, Please Help

Guys,
Can someone explain to me how I can use and enable Viper4android to work with my (USB Dac) Fiio e17k connected to my OP3. I mean I always used Viper4android and recently I purchased the Fiio e17k Dac/amp, it works on my OP3 through the USB-type C to micro USB in to the Fiio E17k, However Viper4android is not working. Strangely enought it works when I plug my headset directly to my OP3.
Its frustrating, and I really that it could work out for me with your help.
Current ROM- Resurrection Remix 7.1.2
That's normal. Audio software modifies the sound produced by sound ship (DAC in other words). Using external DAC means you bypass your integrated audio chip completely so you also bypass your sound mods. The device has nothing to do with external DAC, it uses its own software.

In this post it tels that it can work but I dont understand how they do it step by step ( https://www.reddit.com/r/headphones/comments/74ndqf/android_with_usb_dac_and_u_viper4android/ ). Also when you open Viper4Android there is an option for usbdock, it should work but I think we need someone who can help us step by step to perform a workaround because its not really simple for everyone.

i have a Fiio Q1 DAC too and that doesn't work with V4A since i updated to Nougat and above
Earlier it used to work fine when i was using Marshmallow.
Hence, i believe Android 7 & above have some limitations with respect to audio mods

Not a big fan of custom roms hence i had used it on my Oneplus One running Cyanogenmod and Oneplus 3 running OOS
I think it has something to do with the sampling or bitrate of the DAC. I have an Essential PH-1 and the included USB-to-headphone adapter (has tiny DAC chip in it) works with V4A as headset, but my Fiio Q1 gen1 does not. The easiest workaround would be using analog input instead of digital, unless someone knows how to force output sampling/bitrates?
Edit - found the answer here https://amp-reddit-com.cdn.ampproje...r4android/?amp_js_v=0.1&usqp=mq331AQECAEoAQ==
That guy explains that V4A can't handle output above 48KHz

Sure, just turn your bluetooth on and you can change it!
You have to connect to the bluetooth device first

bluetooth codecs

can anybody please confirm if ldac or aptx hd supported on this phone ( not only listed under developer options but really working).i really appreciate if somebody who has bluetooth equipment supporting these codecs confirm if the phone can connect to audio device with these codecs ( not defaulting sbc codec)
It's a wide issue not just on your phone, and the problem only seems to be of missing libraries, which you have to add them manually, on your own risk.
See this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-8-pro/help/aptx-codec-support-t3990459
THANKS .i saw that one but note 8pro is with mediatek. note 8 is on snapdragon .regardless if it is missing in the libraries than i dont understand why these codecs are listed in the product web pages

Question Does aliothin support aptx codec?

Can anyone confirm me that aliothin support aptx audio codec?
And if support which which aptx codec does it have?
I got these two ss from developer setting.
All aptx except aptx lossless
I may be wrong about the last one
