does anybody know where I can see the outside temperature?
I have seen pictures where it's shown at the climate controls. But I don't see anything when I change the settings?
The sensor is working, my screen at the speedometer is showing ice warnings etc.
My unit is a rk3188 kgl

Pretty sure it's part of a weather app and requires an internet connection.

Not really. He's talking about info from his Can-bus system. The problem is that a lot of the Chinese
Can-Bus boxes actually don't work the way they should. I've have the same problem on Hyundai/KIA
boxes. They don't work the way they should.
The box for Analog to SPDIF works ie. sound conversion, but not the Can-Bus info.
Question for Crog1. Have you changed it for your brand of car in factory settings?

Were you able to change the units? I want it to show temperature in Fahrenheit. I am able to set it but every time I reboot, it resets back to Celsius.

How do I keep bluetooth on all the time? I have an android wear watch and when I go out of range of bluetooth then come back in range the phone has usually turned bluetooth off. Is there any way to keep it from doing that?

That is not how your's works? Maybe it's an app that is turning it off.

Yesterday the audio just stopped working on my unit. It is almost like it is muted or something. I checked it and it seems like everything is ok. Then this morning I was driving and it suddenly came back on. Audio will not cut out when the car is running, but only when I turn the car off for whatever reason(refuel, garage, etc) and then the audio will eventually come back.
I tried flashing the latest malaySK rom and MCU and that did not help. Is this a hardware issue or something? It's behaving like it is muted and when it suddenly comes back it's as if I hit the unmute button or something. Any ideas would be appreciated, I'm about to drive cross country with this.

I've seen the same on one of my four units. My interim solution has been to turn power off i.e turn engine off for 35 seconds.
After that the sound comes back. I suspect it has something to do with the delay of 30 seconds implemented in the FW.
If you look in Malaysk's thread he claims its an error in the recent fw.
Any idea as to the last version of the ROM that didn't have this issue?

I don't know. This has been an ongoing case for some time. As I wrote above I think it has to do with the
software delays implemented some time ago. I've turned off Headunitservice and also removed the option
in Xposed concerning MCU. It looks like that solved the problem. Knock on wood
I see. What is this delay issue involving? I really only use the headunit service to change songs in Poweramp I think. The other features are nice but kind of superfluous for my installation.

The MCU thing is to keep the HU running while you start the engine. That's the SW mod. There's also a hardware mod
implementing a capacitor and a diode doing the same thing. I can wait for the cold boot and have sound, rather than
the other way around.
I understand. How do you disable it? Wouldn't a reboot of the unit fix this issue? I was thinking of just going into xposed and forcing a reboot from in there.

AFAIK, only the above.
I've tried downgrading, changing the MCU, etc. No suck luck. The audio seems to just kick on or off.
My Steering wheel app is blank - no buttons, so I can't remap anything.

Xtrons support is crap. I would not buy anything from them. Their only suggestion is for me to return or refund it, when I keep telling them it's software issue and to actually look at another unit.

4 of the 6 buttons on my steering wheel do things, but there are no buttons there to begin with, like shown here: http://kepfeltoltes.hu/141121/20141119_152125a_www.kepfeltoltes.hu_.jpg
When I press any of the buttons nothing happens in the steering wheel app. No buttons appear. If the button already does something, it just does it, instead of interacting with the app. The buttons that don't do anything, continue to not do anything. So basically the app isn't communicating with canbus adapter, but canbus adapter is working, since some buttons do stuff.
In your first picture the android version is 5.1.1 in normal cases when you press on your SWC they should appear and you will be able to link to an action
So if that is not happening with you I confirm that you have a problem and most probably a software problem so I suggest resetting the device to factory default and trying again
In the 2nd picture android version is 4.. which is a bit different in setting it up

Thanks for the suggestions. I've already tried to factory reset, but ended with the same results. My next attempt to fix it will be flashing stock factory rom... but my sdcard ejected and shot out and got lost between seat and center console. So waiting for new micro sd card.
same issue, on mi pumpkin unit.

Eanon seems to have good support. They helped even though I didn't buy it from them. In any case, I had to press the swc first, then select which action I wanted it to take on screen.

I fixed it by connecting a earth or ground to one (either) of the SWC control wires from the car.
The car's original wiring only had a "ladder" resistance network between the two SWC wires and had no earth. This works ok for OEM but the MTCB type head needed one of the wires to have an earth connection. The moment I connected the earth the missing SWC icons populated the screen and the setup was easy from then.

You guys need to post this in the MTCD thread and not the MTCB. Some or all of you have the 5.1.1 units which have different core boards (MTCD). The moderator of Android Auto thread has been pressing the issue of posting to the correct thread. The units may look the same but the software and hardware are different than that of the MTCB units.

I search issue like mine but i didnt find nothing. I think the problem maybe is from the Firmware because first 4 months it works perfect and one day everything just stoped and the system was crashed after that i loose everything because i reset it and after that the video stoped to work in apps i have just sound and no video. I think if i reinstall the android maybe it will work again but im not sure thats why im asking here if somebody know how to fix it or to know something... I hope you understand me what i mean..

Sorry had to mention the obvious, did you go into system settings and enable video while driving? Maybe your parking brake cable got disconnected.

Had a similar issue after I updated my HU from px5-userdebug 8.0.0 OPR5.170623.007 eng.hct.20180510.131628 test-keys to HCT_PX5_9.0_ota(20200518). Seem like my old android 8 could care less if I had the parking wire set to low, but the new Android 9 will not allow me to play videos unless I was parked. (form some apps it started then stopped within 1 to 3s). I could not find any setting that allowed me to enable video if the parking switch was not enganges (maybe it was there before I updated to Android 9.0 but its not there anymore). To fix this on my unit, I had to short the pink E brake wire to GND. (the wire will be either pink or Green depending on your harness). some recommend adding a switch, I simply added a short wire to the GDN chasy of the HU. Now my Video play fine all the time.

I've bought an OKNAVI PX5 4GB A53 Android 9.0 from Aliexpress for my Ford Fiesta from 2013.
MCU is MTCE_HXD_V3.53_1 and I don't know which bluetooth chip is mounted.
I can't get SWC to work at all no matter what I choose in factory settings. OKNAVI says I should choose this: factory setting -126-canbus setting -06 FOCUS(Raise) but it doesn't work. When I try to learn the buttons on the HU, nothing happends. I've tried many settings but nothing works. I'm starting to think it's a connection problem but I'm not smart enough to figure out what is right and what is wrong:silly:
I've attached some pictures so maybe someone can see some issues with the connections.
Problem with bluetooth is that I can't hear anything during calls. Mobile connects fine and I can play music but no sound during calls. I've tried different settings under factory - bluetooth but nothing helps.
Maybe someone is able to help with this.
OKNAVI is trying to help me with my issues, I am in contact with them. But they haven't been able to solve my problems so far.
I've searched this forum for answer but nothing have solved it so far. I'm thinking about installing Hal9_mod_4.0 to see if that will solve my issues but I doubt it will.

That connector was it issue on mine the was a grey to grey connector and a lose purple one the purple one worked and the swc worked after that check they connections and try them all

Change the SWC KEY option to CAN KEY.

But is it possible to change which programs it switches between??? I would like to use DAB radio and Spotify instead but I can't find where to change that...
