2 - As u know media doesnt plays (hoping for the fix in next build)
Requests
1 - can you use the snap camera instead of stock

This ROM was created by none other than the great Martin Coulon (@martinusbe). This was created as a side project during his 'free' time while waiting for GZR's Validus & Tesla builds to update. Now if you are wondering why it is called Tipsy, you guessed it. He was actually somewhat drunk when he made it, and even now, most updates/fixes are done while happily intoxicated, thus keeping the Tipsy motto. It was initially done for the OnePlus One as a joke, however, the love for this ROM was so huge, it found it's way out. We just couldn't keep it to ourselves. Within a few days, it had spread like wildfire to a plethora of different devices.
Tipsy has a slim base, and only the useful and necessary stuff was added, including a few extra features to keep up with the competition out there. Tipsy fully supports Layers (RRO) and has the Layers manager app built-in. CM is kept to the barest minimum here, and is only added/used ONLY as needed.
I will try to keep this updated as much as possible, but if you feel like getting the info as it comes out along with some nice graphics, check it out here:

Tried it yesterday. My observations so far (after a clean install):
- Setup procedure after first boot (asking for language, wifi, Google account etc.) did not start. Had to make these steps via settings menu.
- Wifi does not work for me. Everytime I switch on wifi, it re-switches to Off immediately. For me, this makes this Beta unusuable for daily work. But hey, it's a Beta.
- Contacts app crashed when I tried to import my contacts from a vcf-file. However, I was able to import them by double-clicking the vcf in a file manager.
For the rest, this ROM seems to be quite stable for a first version. I am impressed. Thank you for your work, beroid.
Greetings from Germany
Matthias
Edit: dirty reflashed Rom, Gapps and Magisk. Now wifi is working!
beta 2
Added expanded desktop customizations
statusbar: Added smart pull and quick pull toggles
statusbar: Added double tap to sleep toggle
lockscreen: Fixed max notification value persistence
navbar: Added navbar visibility toggle
statusbar: Added battery bar toggle and customizations
Everything works perfectly for me. Flashed this with Aroma open g-apps. All the OMS themes works nice with the Andromeda add -on. Netflix didn't work at first, had to use magisk hide.

Useless comment, thanks for losing readers time. If rom is beta, and you don't wanna help, click x... If people don't test, and report problems, stable version will not arrive, that's the use of the common sense.
Clean flashed, got no sound in music, the ui is also lagging, and ambient display appears oftenly, bt it looks beautiful, generally.

*smooth rom, i like it specially the ambient display feature.
*camera is the same with validius oreo. hope the next update would port the cosmic os 2.1 camera. it is better for me.
*screen recording stops. same bug with validius oreo rom.
*i got random reboot resulting to bootloops
ps: this reply will be edited for review updates. thanks for such a good rom bro.

First time installing crDroid to your ENTER-PHONE-NAME, or coming from another ROM: <--THESE MAY NEED UPDATING FOR YOUR PARTICULAR DEVICE; BE THOROUGH IN INSTRUCTIONS-->
** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (CWM or TWRP)
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
8) Flash gapps
9) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.
KNOWN ISSUES
1) Toogle to disable hardware button doesnt work.
Don't expect any support if you:
- are not running the included kernel
- have installed any mods such as Xposed!

I'm clonning kernel trees to kernel/xiaomi/msm8996 before building. If you want to change kernel while using ROM, you can install kernel .img file via Twrp, example: https://github.com/JonasCardoso/android_kernel_xiaomi_msm8996 You can look Releases .

I only had reboot for once. Everything is clear and smooth you can try that. It's working nice
rom is great. but i couldnt pass safetynet? i had installed pico gapps.
edit: It got passed after a while, i did clear play store data and play services. will test it thoroughly, let you know. thank you very much for the build.

Gapps: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=7161016148664809504
I just installed the latest gapps build. Everything seems ok till now. I have found one issue that is - I can't install any magisk module from storage. it says "system feature stopps"
Is this rom battery friendly or not?
I've just installed the latest vanilla version, I found I can't connect WiFi in settings but I can do it in QS panel. Will it be fixed?
