[Guide How-to] Permanent Night Clock - new method Update for MM 6.0.1 - Note Edge Themes and Apps

Since the old settings.db does not exist on MM you can change those values with a terminal emulator or using ADB, i prefere ADB.
(in short)
write adb shell -> enter
write su -> enter
write settings put system night_mode_start_time 0 -> enter
write settings put system night_mode_end_time 1440 -> enter
According to this thread, thanks to @Mirkohmm.
Since this method won't work anymore you can try this method.
Before be sure to turn ON the night clock. (thanks to @thedid63)
With a SQLite Editor go to data/data/com.android.providers.setings/databases/settings.db and open system. Than search for
"night_mode_start_time" - set start time to 1 (1 minute)
and
"night_mode_end_time" - set end time to 1440 (1440 minutes =24 h)
Reboot and voilà

Strange, mickey has the same base. It must works. You've done it like said in the OP without touching the night clock settings?

My stock rom should be deodex ? Because i can't find these 2 parameters in the system table.
Thnx.

Confirmed working on stock rooted 5.1.1 rom for FY note edge. Thanks!!!

I can confirm that this method works on note edge n915w8 5.1.1 rooted with stock kernel and xposed

I don't know wich editor you are using. At mine i hit files than data>data>com.android.providers.settings>databases>settings.db. Than hit the last option "system" and search for "night". Over here it's number 20215 and 20216. Hope that helps!

First make sure you turned on the night clock in the edge settings
Install SQlite Editor and launch and give it root permission
Then go to Settings Storage and click it to open it
Then click setting.db
The click on system
The click on the search icon in the top bar and search for night
You will get these results
night_mode_start_time
night_mode_end_time
night_mode
In start time change value to 1 (first minute of the day)
In end time change value to 1440 (last minute of the day)
Make sure night mode value is 1 (it means it is on)
Reboot and it will work
Thans to OP for sharing this info

Does anyone know if we can make the night clock adjustable to make it dimmer or brighter?

Update for MM in OP

Does anyone remember how to do this on Kitkat roms by any chance? I can't find original the thread anymore for doing this on Kitkat which from what I remember was a little different, I looked at my settings.db with an sqlite editor but "night mode" was nowhere to be found. I know there's a way to do it because I had done it before and had the night clock on permanently for awhile but I just lost it after doing a factory reset, and now for some reason I can't find the thread I used before. So anyway if anyone knows how I'd appreciate the help because I got used to it and now I really miss it lol. Thanks

Thank you!! I actually saw that link and I don't know why but for some reason I just assumed it was another thread on how to do it on Marshmallow! That's what I get for assuming I guess lol. Thanks again man that was driving me forkin nuts because I thought I remembered posting in that thread (about whether screen burn in could possibly be an issue.. and I guess I answered my own question on that one lol), and thanks but yeah I had my night clock turned on but it was still nowhere to be found under settings.db. Anyway I'll follow that thread and I'm sure I'll have it rockin again here in no time. [emoji16] [emoji16]

Just to note.
Scene mode is missing a whole mode and the labels don't align with the icons.
It appears that "Action" mode is missing.
EDIT:
I've removed the values from the array and uploaded the resources.arsc. Extract the resources.arc file and drop it into the apk (and zipalign, recommended). And the scene mode will show the correct labels.
It's working on my stock, not rooted S3
Icons are little scrambled but photosphere works flawlessly!

Revert To Stock.zip to stock speaker functions.
STEP 1: Download the Surround.zip and also Revert To Stock.zip. (Optional).
STEP 2: Boot to Recovery.
STEP 3: Navigate to the Sound Mod Zip of your choice and flash it.

I have a problem I can't figure out. 3-4 times a week my phone will not receive calls or text messages. Incoming calls go straight to voice mail and my phone doesn't ring. I don't even get a missed call notification. At some point when I make an outgoing call, then all of my incoming texts come flooding in at once along with voice mail notifications. I am using xposed with several mods. Has anyone else experienced this?
Is there a way to remove that stock battery percent sign. This rom came with it own custom icons... So having that percent next to it looks retarded.

just set your build.prop to cappuccino and you will get outdoor brightness (no auto brightness actually cause grand prime has no ambient light sensor)

Using Root Explorer, go to /System/build.prop, open build.prop in text editor, search this line "ro.build.scafe=americano", change "americano" to "capuccino", save, exit, and reboot, done. You have an outdoors mode now??.

Hey there! I've done exactly what you said, but......there's a minor problem
I got most of the things I desired like the cable charging notification, the name of the Wi-Fi connected to under the Wi-Fi icon and Outdoors mode
But the problem is, the Wi-Fi icon and the Screen Rotation icon aren't as bright as, for example - the Sound icon, and unexpectedly, even the Gear (for Settings) has disappeared!!
Would've posted a screenshot but this is my very first post actually
It would be appreciated if you could help me! Will be waiting for your reply

I Think it's normal because you're using stock system ui, you can change it back to americano or find custom system ui like s7 for G530H/531H (mine is G531H)

I would pretty much be okay with it if it had that Gear icon, but it ain't there at all! I'm okay with the-brightness-of-the-icon's issue but I won't be keeping it for long if I don't get a solution for the Gear thing

Just curious. What does ro.build.scafe in the build.prop does?
