uhhh this zip only contains a Ds.apk and a dolby config which is the stock file of M9's BoomSound presets :s am I missing something here?

why do you use/took xposed framework installer and just added some files into it, which even won't really flash properly..

New Update Changelog: 8/24/2016
Added HiFi Audio libs x64 and sound effects

Has anyone flashed it yet?

didn't tried yet, but since this needs sense rom, you need to edit the HTC_audio_effects.conf in /system/etc/ not the audio_effects. where did you take the libs from?
@ZeroInfinity please take a look

New updated made more fixes boomsound setting and presets works like a charm now. Backup if some settings are broken from your rom send your build.prop for a fix :good:

Have you even tried it yet?? Or are you hoping every 1else will
Æaa \../

it breaks audio on htc music player and kills boomsound on ICE10 port.
and why you put a complete build.prop inside the zip, instead of making a script which changes only th things it needs.

So, I got annoyed at the stupid noise made when the ringer volume was adjusted so I made a script to create flashable zip's which change this sound.
Ready made ZIP files
These zip's should work on any ROM and any version. They can also be used along side other mods
Place the zip on the phone memory
Make a backup in recovery
Install the zip through recovery
Reboot!

Scripts for making your own
Here is a way for you to easily make your own zips with your own sounds in them. I've tried to make it nice and user friendly
You don't need to rename your sound file to anything special, and it will sign the zip too. It can also take you to a website to convert your sounds to the required AAC format Website is here
Before compiling the zip, you shoud first see if your AAC will play on your phone in the default music player. Some converters create AAC files which are unable to be played so will not work! The website I have linked for converting seems to work well
Unzip the download
Add your AAC sound of choice to the root of my folder (in with START.bat)
Double click START.bat and follow instructions
Flash the created zip
Download
Mac.aac <---- use this to test the script

Great app! Do these get backed up somehow during a rom update? I don't see a script in addon.d but I guess my own would work, as CarbonRom dropped the Omni Soundpacks feature so I made a backup script after applying the sounds manually. This app would save quite a bit of work if changing sounds now and again! Would it be possible to add the option to choose a zip on the user's device? I ask as I've downloaded some excellent soundpacks but adjusted the volume of certain sounds to my liking and re-zipped.

I have Note 3 SM-N9005 (hlte), running CarbonRom latest nighlty. It used to have the Soundpacks feature from Omni but they reverted it in favour of CM Theme engine soundpacks (even though there is no ui sounds in any theme yet!)
I have tested this app with my set up successfully. After being asked to allow a reboot, which I did, the chosen soundpack was working and when I chose to restore, I rebooted myself and it was back to normal.
*edit* I chose "stock and other"

Thanks for your reply. I think i need add reboot alert to the restore function to.
Chose sound pack from device:
Sound pack supported devices: there is no problem. There is a file (audio_assets) it define witch sound is for witch function.
Write direct to system: if i unzip a sound pack i can only use this sounds named right. ( camera_click, camera_focus, Effect_Tick etc)
else i got no sound from system. so i need alert an error like ( sound pack isnt supported )
What you think about this?

Yes, I understand they have to have the same name as in the rom's ui folder or have the audio_assets file. I guess whichever method is most user friendly! I'm just an enthusiast myself but have learned a lot about modifying my devices from xda, not all users will have the same level of understanding so whatever you feel is the easiest for the user, I guess. No worries, it worked fine for the soundpacks within the app. UI is excellent, nice and simple. The only error I noticed was "Chosoe Soundpack" instead of "Choose Soundpack". Other than that, it's perfect and seems like an excellent way to bring soundpacks to roms that don't have it!

[HOW-TO] Viper4Android on Lollipop

Since another thread is getting hijacked it might be a good idea to start talking about Viper4Android in a separate place. This is just to share some info, not a Q&A for Viper4Android.
Viper4Android FX is like the “advanced” version of DSP Manager/Beats Audio by providing you with more advanced Surround/Bass/Clarity/Gain boost controls in addition to an equalizer that you can use for your headphones, speakers, bluetooth devices, and more.
I found the guide on how to do it here, I just updated the links and added some more info:
1. You need root and twrp
1a. Make a backup in twrp
1b. Seriously, make the backup
Skip 2. and go to 3. if you are using SuperSU
2. Change to permissive mode with SELinux Mode Changer that you can download here
3. Boot into twrp and flash Viper4Android, you can download the zip from here (old link here).
3b. Reflash SuperSu
3c. Wipe cache and dalvik
4. Boot
5. Start Viper4Android and give root access
6. Still in Viper4Android, under settings switch FX Compatible mode to Compatible.
7. Reboot
8. Activate Viper4Android
9. Enjoy
Additional info:
If you use Poweramp, disable Direct volume control in settings/audio/advanced tweaks.
Do it at your own risk and for technical questions about Viper4Android it's better if you post in the thread you find at 3.
Some people report it working without changing to permissive mode, others report that it's not working at all. Any feedback is appreciated.

I've flashed it, tbh I only notice a small difference when activating it but I still have to play around with the settings. Also, I'm using Jetaudio, maybe it doesn't work that well with that.
Also, I've just changed the description in the op, according to the viper4android post I link to if you already use supersu (which is the same as in the rooting guide) you don't need to do the change to permissive mode.

For me personally, I used lolliviper in the nexus 5 forums. Flashed through TWRP and then followed by SuperSU.
No need to change the selinux.

With the phone speakers, not much I played around with some settings to give sound a "fuller" effect.
However with Bluetooth or wired headset, definitely noticeable.

First off i'll share my setup:
Recovery: Eng.stk Twrp r5
Kernel: Also by Eng.stk r61
Rom Stock 2.1.3-x
Viper4android: Use lolliviper zip from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/themes-apps/discussion-viper4android-t2543796
I just flashed the lolliviper zip file through twrp. flash SuperSU 2.52 again just in case. wipe cache and dalvik. reboot.
after reboot, launch V4A app. grant supersu permission. install "high quality" (the middle one) driver. reboot.
Test by playing music (from storage, pandora, spotify etc.) keep music playing and then launch V4A again. go to 3 dot menu and choose driver status and it should show if its processing or not.
good luck.

I'll add the optional supersu step, but the rest is already there. After that it's up to each one to select between the 3 profiles at first boot.
Someone should try LolliViPER[6.0.1].zip zip on any 6.0+ ROM wit "Enforcing" kernel, see if it works.
I found this on the Nexus 5 post that is linked in the OP, guys got a bunch of Thanks for this, guess it wont hurt to try.

Viper4Android for s6 edge plus /note 5

I have the s6 edge+ and my wife has the note 5, can't get Viper to work just like everybody else. Other phone's versions of OS use mixer_paths.xml to adjust volume/levels, but these 2 phones have a separate file titled mixer_gains.xml where volume levels can easily be adjusted. Is this separate new file the reason why Viper won't work?

Here is a combo audio enhancer for all you audiophiles: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24562946973631338
This twrp flashable zip file contains not only viper, but this has the three finest audio enhancers in it which are fully
compatible to any android phone which has already been updated to the new Marshmallow 6.0 firmware.
This contains Dolby Atmos, Viper4android and Beats Audio all in one flash able zip file.
Also after you flash this it will only create one icon in the app drawer but when you open it it will give you a choice
of any of the three or you can even use all three at the same time if you like.
Good luck,
Have a great day.

I'm also a beginner but I think you basically have to say which directory each file goes, look at your original mod and see the directories, use those.

Good job, thanks for your mod. Has someone managed to get Atmos to work with Google Play Music? Works with Spotify, YouTube, Pocket Casts, but not GPM.
How can I uninstall it?
How do you get this one with Play Music? Doesn't work for me

Just delete the files manually no system file modified
If someone can create Uninstaller zip
hats of for that and pls Post it here
Here is a small updater-binary to uninstall the mod based on your zip and I think this should do the trick.
