Blank Screen problem - Verizon LG G4

Hey guys,
Just bought a VS986(verizon) from ebay, Seller assumed it was a bad screen/lcd causing a blank screen. I just finished replacing the lcd and screen and still have a black screen, i'm assuming it the motherboard?
it powers up, the phone makes a clicking sound when I touch the screen and i've even managed to access the keypad on the phone somehow (can hear the button tones). i've tried a factory reset, but without a display it's useless..
any thoughts OR does someone have a MB they wanna sell?
thanks in advance!
Jim

white screen

I have a strange problem with the screen of my qtek 9090.
It is very white and barely readable.
Here are some picture I took: (It's the original theme wich should look blue)

Does domebody have a solution for this?
Or is my screen completely broken and should I get a new screen? :?
Jeff
IMHO you need go get you BA to the nearest service point
Its a bit like the problem I had with mine. Does it change if you open/close the keyboard?
As the above poster says get it to a service centre if it is within warranty.
Ohboy, i got it 2!!!!
Device also out of warranty. Any help or new insights on this?
What is broken en what are the costs? Is it the screen or the GPU?
Mine does something similar on occasion, the screen goes totally white with some random colours in it. Usually resetting or suspending it clears it up after it comes back up.
I'm guessing you have tried resetting/suspending it?

Replaced desire AMOLED screen - Still blank

After dropping my desire the screen had an obvious crack (no crack in the glass/digitiser) and displayed crazy colours from the crack, spreading across the screen over the course of the day until finally going completely blank.
Bought a new screen on ebay, same part number, same samsung AMOLED. Replaced today and the phone exhibits exactly the same behaviour. Switches on, digitiser works to the extent I can unlock and lock the phone, but screen is constant black. After a few switch on/offs the screen showed two green lines at the top and about half way down upon unlocking, that went away after another lock and unlock.
Pretty confident that the disassemble/assemble went ok and I didnt stress any flex connectors or similar... so have no idea what could still be wrong....
As I say, phone boots and can unlock/lock (makes the right noises etc) and is recognised by computer when plugged in.
Could using the phone until the screen completely stopped working have broken the controller or something?
Any input greatly appreciated.....
EDIT:
Just switched it on again, green line at top from keyboard lighting point, then the whole screen went blue on unlock. :S
This sound like a dying something, or maybe just bad contacts? Find it strange that unlocking has an effect....
Might be a bad connection or little shortcut?
Here is an official video on how to assemble and disassemble the device, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=768535. Don't know if that helps but you can check if you did something wrong in the progress.
"..Bought a new screen on ebay.." Do not buy Chinese, buy the original.

Seeing as the part was shipped from my country and had the exact same markings and serial numbers as the part I removed, I dont think this is the issue.
Thanks for the video, will disassemble and clean all contacts later today.
Was mainly posting to see if people had heard of/experienced the same issue, trying to ascertain whether it could be a faulty replacement or if its possible to break the hardware that runs the screen.
A good fake can be hard to tell apart from an OEM part...
So the consensus is that its a fake replacement? Really? The screen seems identical in all markings and connectors, my only conclusion can be it came from the same factory. What market would there be in producing defective replicas of mobile phone components?
Anyway I have sent the screen back to the seller for a replacement.
Any response to my other questions? Is it possible to damage the hardware that drives the screen by using the phone with a dying screen to the point of blank display?
Reading through another thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933866
Post #6 suggests the rom on the phone could have an effect, is this the case?
Thanks for any input.
Rom couldn't be the issue if you've installed the exact same screen.
My guess would be a loose connector.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA Premium App
My desire lives!
Replacement screen worked just fine....
Thanks for everyones responses!
Can you post the link to the seller on ebay, from whom you bought the display?

where to get samsung galaxy 3 i5801 lcd display?

hello guyz!
my samsung galaxy 3 i5801 display got damged recently!so i took my cell to local samsung cervice center! he said that the display screen is not available! so he replaced my damaged screen by a duplicate screen! the problem with this screen is it shows different colours when seen from different angles(basically its a TFT screen i guess)! this really hurts my eyes ! so i am planning buy a new screen where can i get one?
i search them on ebay and i found some!but i could not decide which one to get! all are for i5800 and mine is i5801 ! i guess it dosent really makes any difference! As i am not allowed to post urls please search "Display Screen For Samsung Galaxy 3 i5800" on ebay.com and tell me which one to buy!
Thank you!
How much did you spent on replacement LCD ?
Did samsung guys sold you a duplicate/non-company authorized screen, this would be the strangest thing I heard about any company service center.
I don't think you should be buying it off Ebay without knowing about details of screen and a couple of reviews about it.
I recently saved my Galaxy 3 as it suffered from non-functional touch screen and a broken volume button connector, had to fully dis-assemble and do the stuff to fix it.

Just a whim here, but maybe it could be that the digitizers buttons don't work. It might be broken out of factory, where did you get it? Maybe you can ask for a replacement as the digitizer is most probably broken.
it was just a cheap one from china, so im sure i can get a replacement if i ask.
I wasn't sure if the buttons are actually part of the touch screen itself or if the need to have contact to something else..
Thanks

[Q] Sprint LG G2 - No Backlight !!

Hi There,
I bought a Spring LG G2 LS980 on ebay with an non-working backlight with cracked screen. At the moment, I thought that the screen was broken beyond the LCD and that replacing the Screen, LCD and Backlight it would work. So I bought a new screen and replaced it like any other G2, but now the phone turns on and sounds tell me the phone is working and responding to my touch, but I can't see anything! The status LED is my only indication if the phone is off, booting, on or charging. Is this a software issue or am I gonna have to replace more chips? Thanks,
Sincerely,
Sohaib
EDIT: So i did some testing around, and it seems like the flex assembly with the power buttons gets super hot when the phone is supposed to be on. When I press on the lower right contact between the screen and the assembly, the backlight flashes for a moment, so it looks like the connector is damaged. It is a hardware issue. Thanks,
-Sohaib
