|GUIDE| PC Does Not Recognize Note 2

If you get the errors that state that your phone is not recognizable or the drivers on your new PC is
A. Cannot be found
B. Any other message that doesnt state "Your Device Is Ready To Be Used"
Then follow this guide
1. This is really simple and easy, CHANGE THE CABLE. Maybe the cable you are using cannot transfer data correctly or its just broken or it just doesn't like you.
2. Some have reported that using a USB 3.0 port on the PC in question may not work correctly. Try using a USB 2.0 port instead if possible.
3. Now this is what works the best if you use custom cooked roms.
-Launch the phone key pad on your note and press *#7284# (don’t forget to start with that * symbol!)
-When you press the last pound sign (#) this will bring up an option that will allow you to change your USB connection settings (modem or PDA) – change it to PDA.
-At the bottom there is a button that says Qualcomm USB. Click on it.
-In that menu click on MTP + ADB option.
-Save and reset.
-Wait for your phone to restart.
-Plug the micro USB cable to the Note 2 and the the other end to your PC or Mac
-Let your computer down load and install drivers.
-Once installing is done, unplug then replug phone.
-There should be a USB symbol on your phone in the status bar - click on it. It should ask if you wsnd to use mtp or ptp. Click MTP
-At this point your PC should open the phone’s folders in explorer similar to the screenshot above.
Do a little dance, make a little love, get down tonight.
i do not take credit finding all of this by my own, i used google.

It was written so many times on XDA Forums, that your question is quite a surprise:
Open Settings, then go to phone details (where u can see kernel, Android-version etc) then just tap your Build number enough times until you're developer! Then enable USB Debugging...

I've already know that, it is when I plugged my phone into the computer, the battery indicator is charging, but the USB connection never happens.

windows 7, i already installed the htc driver..
If you can't access it, go into your settings app on your phone
Open Developer Options and click the checkbox that says
Code:
USB Debugging
If it still doesn't work, install HTC Sync Manager (if not installed already)
Restart your phone into the bootloader (by holding [Vol Down] + pressing [Power] for a second, still holding [Vol Down]
Select 'Fastboot' at the menu that shows up
Plug in your phone, ignore HTC Sync Manager, open a command prompt (admin) by hitting [WIN] + [X], then select
Code:
Command Prompt (Admin)
Once you have done that, cd to your directory of the adb and fastboot executables, like this:
Code:
cd "C:/[your directory]/"
Then
Code:
adb devices
If adb detects that the service isn't running, it'll start it then search for your device. If it finds it, you're set to use the fastboot commands for whatever you want
Good luck guys!

Maybe it's because you didn't enable debuging in the dev options but thats another problem.
Try googling the error message, maybe you'll find a solution

Can anybody help with my 'bricked' LG G Pro Optimus?

I followed all the instructions on the Internet by donwloading the flash tool, kmz file, and everything else. I followed all methods and none of them work! When I press Install button when everything is set up in the flash tool, the support tool window does appear, and it always says 'The computer and your phone has been disconnected. Please try again by plugging your phone again." Are there any solutions to this?
p.s. my phone is currently bricked which means that I cannot boot, and I did not enable USB Debugging in Developer Options.
You need to install LG drivers on PC, then you need to enter download mode on your phone. Phone turned off then hold volume up + volume down and connect it to PC via USB cable. It will show download mode on the screen. Only then you can flash new kdz file using LG Flash Tool. If I remember correctly flash tool will show error connecting to server but just ignore it (do not press ok) and just wait for it to finish. It will finish when your phone will power itself on into language configuration etc.
Doesn't work
The message does pop up saying that the USB connection is not properly plugged with my LG G Pro. It says nothing like Server Error
Can you see this on phone screen?

second thing you need LG USB drivers install on your PC:
http://www.lg.com/us/support-mobile/lg-LGE980
1. Run flash tools under administrative mode and Windows 7 compatibility mode if on windows 8+. Even better, use it on Windows 7 machine.
2. don't use USB3 ports.
And make sure you're in download mode, it doesn't need usb debugging to work, but you have to boot it into download mode to be able to use flash tool.

Fastboot mode Troubleshooting [windows users]

Troubleshoot guide for updating the adb and fastboot drivers manually in a PC running any version of windows
First, try updating your drivers through windows update automatically. If the drivers are installed and still fastboot commands are not working, then follow these steps:
Pre-requisites:
* PC running windows 7/8/10
* Internet connection (just 20MB)
* Working USB cable
Steps:
(1) Download the [OFFICIAL][TOOL][WINDOWS] ADB, Fastboot and Drivers - 15 seconds ADB Installer v1.4.3 from XDA
Link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
(2) Install it with "Y" confirmation for all 3 options and reboot the PC
(3) Disable the internet connection of your pc
(4) Reboot your phone to fastboot mode and plug it to your PC's USB 2.0 port (important)
(5) Open device manager on PC and scan for hardware changes from the option if your device is not listed already
(6) If it shows 'Asus android device' -> "ASUS Android Bootloader Interface', right click on it and uninstall device with the 'delete the driver software' option ticked.
(screenshot 1 & 2)
(7) Now scan for hardware changes (magnifying glass icon)
(8) It will show 'Android' with an ! symbol
(screenshot 3)
(9) Right click -> Update driver -> Browse my computer for driver software
(10) Choose "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer"
(11) Choose "Android device" or "Asus android device" or similar option and confirm it with Yes or Next option
(screenshot 4)
(12) A warning will pop up, press 'Yes'
Done
(13) Go to adb folder -> shift+right-click and open cmd or powershell window -> type "fastboot devices" without the quotes and you will see your device listed.
Nice... Thanks for the guide... Many people needed it... Was about to make one myself...
Great. Many many thanks bro

After I completed all the steps, my phone showed on screen "press any key to shutdown" and even in device manager it shows android ADB interface as hidden. Help please. Rebooting again to fastboot mode doesn't help because it shows the same screen "press any key to shutdown" on reconnecting with PC.

Well i learned this from somewhere but actually you need to turn off the secure boot in your PC from the BIOS. That's what helped me do it

Well you know how there's a BIOS in your PC which contains the basic commands required to run a computer. There is a setting called secure boot inside your BIOS. You need to turn it off and then install fastboot tools. To open the BIOS, repeatedly press F10 or F8 on your computer while it is opening. This is how it worked for me atleast
