[Q] Why do people post [Questions] in the [General] section???

I don't get it. Do people not understand WHY we have a Q&A sub-forum?
Do people think their question will get answered sooner/better if they post it where it's not supposed to go?
I understand this is not an original thread and I am only one of many who are getting fed up with the lack of e-courtesy on the part of the wrong-section-question-posters, maybe some of them who haven't seen the other frustration threads will see this one and start posting in the right places.
Get with it people.

This thread is already in the correct section.
It isn't actually a question, more of a statement.
If this thread was moved to Q&A then only the people who are already posting in the correct section would see it and not the people who come to the general section to post questions, who should see it.
I'm still annoyed at the whole "[Q]" thing. We can tell it's a damn question arleady. That's what question marks are for.
I agree, but people need to just ignore the post in the wrong forum and the mod will move into the right forum. The problem is that when you tell someone they are in the wrong forum they go to that forum and post the same thing. Then the mod moves the other one and now we have two posts of the same thing.
I would think that a specific issue related to the phone would be posted in the Q&A section.
Like, "how do I change the settings for blah blah blah?" would be in Q&A.
But if someone wants to get a feel for the community, like "has your phone dl/ul speeds changed" or something like that, they post in the General section.
Q&A is for questions looking for solutions to a specific problem/issue and General is for general discussion of the phone. Just my 2 cents.
i feel the OP's pain..
people post in general because they want their question "seen" by more eyes.. some post because they dont care for the sub forums.
this site is a devs site FIRST.. but over time the novice has made his or her way here and the dev base has eroded a bit with questions like "make me decide to keep my phone" or "iphone sux and here's why"... those questions should not even be asked in the first place and when they are posted it just muddies up the forum...
it gives mods more work to do in the end and the other sub forums dont see the right traffic they should be seeing.
if more folks post in the appropriate section, that would engage others to explore those forums...

So let me see if I understand. If you want to say something, then do it in the general section. If your statement begins with: who, what, why, where, how, can, is, when, if, (I can't think of anymore), then it is a question and should be in the q&a section. Do I have this right?

Just learn to ignore threads, you don't have to click them.
This is why we have mods. (Its more work on them which I feel bad for....but this is always going to happen on an internet forum.)

No I don't have kids and I don't flame people (very often) and I'm a master at ignoring stupid threads. I'm aware of the extra burden misplaced threads puts on the mods, that's why I started this one to hopefully help prevent some of it before they have to take their time to move them.

i believe the [q] is an automatic feature now, if you check the 'is this a question' box when starting a new thread. i highly doubt that some of these people that start new threads out of the blue intentionally included a relevant bit of info in the thread title, lol

I am wondering if there is a ROM in which I could keep the stock look, but be able to:
1. change battery icon to battery with percentage.
2. change dock layout, and
3. have access to sense clock widget and sense calendar.

Dude, any sense ROM. MikFroyo and Myn's Warm both a have lot of customizations available. Easily found info in the forum, and if it starts with a [Q], chances are it belongs in Q&A.

I mean, there's a post on here that says, read before posting and YET YOU GUYS DON'T READ THAT! I want say something, because there is a thing which is really unfair. The Dev Razor, who did some great work like getting to work touchwiz and lg launcher on our phone get banned from XDA ....He created a placeholder thread for his rom, which he wanted to upload but because there is a rule that we cant make placeholder-threads he get banned and lefted XDA .....that was really unfair because there are people out who are making some worse things like offering other people or something like that and they DON'T get banned. I mean why ...why not first a warning and if ignoring then banning....
thats for the mods also and a discussion thread so dont offend me or so i'm only a "friend" and wanted to talk with you about that..
Mods pls think about that and un-ban pls razor ....he is also kaing good work

why other people don't read the rules and make things against the rules but don't get banned? xda got so bad to the time when i was at the hd2 forum all was fine people who were against other and abused them get banned but now? -.-
and whats against placeholder? if he finished uploading of the rom it were ready but NO they banned him

With the Sprint variant of this phone, does any one have any ideas of a Apk and Mod combo that utilizes the camera to it's fullest potential? Anyone with kids will especially like this, there is nothing that rocks as much as catching those priceless moments on film. I'm on the stock kernel, JB (The Domination rules)ICS, and LIH (base and). My goal is quality, resolution, and bit rare. An advanced zoom would be kool also.
Any suggestions are welcomed......

My questions does apply to the Forum Title. My questions relate directly to the Sprint variant of the SGSIII, and the camera. Specifically the development side to improve it. Development of the Apk. Is how program improvements are implemented and bugs are fixed.
A combination of the application combined with the mods are important from a systems standpoint. So my question is more than skin deep p. I apologize if this is in the wrong location, but Its not a joke. Mods please move, if needed.

I didn't develop anything, my interpretation of this Forum was Applications and their improvements also. If its. Wrong then please have the mods move or delete it. Sorry to inconvenience.........

It's amazing that when I originally posted this thread how many negative responses that were received because it was in the wrong forum area. I was flamed because a couple of idiots that had nothing better to do then criticize me. I'm new here and 'naddict' & 'Bambino' were the only members that were cordial about posting in the wrong forum.
Now, not one person has responded with any information about the topic itself. Amazing to see how much people love to hate and not to help. Read the Bible people, God's Word will help set you free! Help your fellow man in need, don't look the other way or show disgust. The two people I'm referring to are senior members here, what a joke!
There is always ten people to tell you that what you have done is wrong, but try to get ten people to help you fix it!

First let me apolgize for my comment if it any way hurt you feelers bro , In Before The Lock is something we all do on the forum for fun and you took it way to personal I didnt mean anything by , others that know me know that is not my thing or what I do to people especially if I had gone into your thread in the proper section. So please take it for what it is worth , as your thread as/or wouldve been moved and your questions will be answered by someone especially since they are here in the q/a section looking to help or find help like yourself.

well now its in Q&A so can we maybe get some answers (assuming their are any of course
LOVE the speed of the new camera and they have DRAMATICALLY improved low light performance AND ALSO dramatically improves LLP of the front facing camera.
anyway here is something I WANT SO BADLY.
Focus Lock. or Infinity lock. it still has "hunting" issues in low contrast low light situations (such as fireworks) really annoying. it boggles the mind there is no infinity lock or even a simple focus lock on such a powerful device.
