I tried the following and it solved, but all data losted (make sure backup first):
1. download latest htc_fastboot.exe (version 3.0.8a)
2. download A55ML_DTUL_L50_SENSE70_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.45.707.2_Images.zip
3. c:\adb\adb reboot bootloader, then choose download mode:
a. c:\adb\htc_fastboot flash reovery recovery.img
b. c:\adb\htc_fastboot flash system system.img
c: c:\adb\htc_fastboot flash boot boot.img
4. reboot and get ota update 1.45.707.5, let the phone run update itself
5. c:\adb\htc_fastboot flash recovery twrp_e9pw_2.8.6.0_en.img to get TWRP
6. reboot recovery and flash UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.65-20151226141550.zip to get rooted.
7. download SuperSU at Google play.

I am in similar situation now with HTC One ME (aka One M9ew: rooted with SuperSu, TWRP, Xposed installed) and want to install recent OTA - few questions:
1) is your zip file the original stock HBOOT zip or already the OTA?
2) would it be enough to flash boot.img and recovery.img from the OTA (not from original stock HBOOT file) to enable the OTA update?
3) if 2) is not working from OTA, would it work from stock HBOOT file but also avoiding system.img or is it necessary to flash stock system.img in any case?
about backups:
I did full nandroids (via TWRP) and Titanium backups (saved on external SD card)
question:
4) will the restore via nandroid override the OTA update?
Many thanks!

[Q] About to install ARHD. Please check my process....

Hi all,
I'm looking at flashing ARHD. I've read through the instructions at least 20 times but I'm unsure of just a few things and want to be 100% before trying this as there are a heaps of people who seem to have bricked by not following instructions properly.
As I understand, the process is as follows.......
1. Download super wipe zip and place it on SD card.
2. Download rom and place on SD card.
3. Download firmware package and un-rar.
4. Download 'Official Clockworkmod Touch Recovery 5.8.3.1'
5. Disable antivirus protection on PC.
6. Ensure ADB drivers are installed correctly on PC.
7. Unlock Bootloader via HTC-dev
8. Boot phone in to bootloader and enter Fastboot Mode
9. Install "recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.3.1-endeavoru.img" via fastboot
command in ADB console.
10. Boot in to the newly installed recovery and perform a nandroid backup.
11. Reboot phone into bootloader and enter Fastboot mode.
12. Run "install-boot-windows.bat' as administrator to install the new firmware
13. Reboot and enter recovery mode.
14. Using the newly installed recovery, flash the
"Android_Revolution_HD_Super_Wipe_One_X.zip" on the SD card.
15. While still in recovery, flash the Android Revolutipn ROM zip.
16. Reboot and enjoy.
Have I missed anything there and is this in the correct order?
At what point does the PJ46IMG.zip need to be installed? The instructions for this are unclear.
Also, in the event something goes wrong and the phone doesn't boot (but i can get into recovery mode), can I just flash the backup file? Or does the fact that I've overwritten the boot.img via Fastboot mean that I can't restore the backup without flashing a stock boot.img via fastboot first?
Thanks and sorry to be a n00b. I'm just finding the order a little mismatched moving between various threads and want to be 100% sure.
Cheers.
You'll be fine. Both Firmware 1.26 and 1.28 is OK with arhd.
On going back to your nandroided stock rom, flash your stock boot.img then restore stock nandroid.
Sent either from my Arc or One X using xda premium
Remember to flash boot.img before the rom
I got my One X yesterday, did all you did BUT, after step 11. nandroid backup, I did these: Nandroid -> Super wipe -> Flash boot.img -> Flash ARHD 3.1.0 and everything works fine

Unlocking bootloader & Installation of CWM

I followed HTC Dev to unlock bootloader of my HTC Wildfire S A510e.While doing so, I couldn't update boot loader(matching ROM wasn't available) but have successfully unlocked it for my device. I'm able to Root my device but during CWM installation, I'm unable to flash CWM (ROM Manager can't find Superuser though it's installed). Even Titanium backup can't find superuser.
Please see if anyone can help....[/FONT]

you have to flash cwm recovery manually by fastboot
Yes exactly.
Download CWM here:
GSM Phones only: http://download2.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.8-marvel.img
CDMA Phones only: http://download2.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.8-marvelc.img
BE SURE TO FLASH THE RIGHT RECOVERY OR YOUR PHONE WILL MOST LIKELY BE BRICKED
Put the image file in the same directory as adb and fastboot binary.
Boot the phone into fastboot and write this command:
fastboot flash recovery <name image file> (i.e. recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.8-marvel.img)
After successful flash download the root.zip file found in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195275
Place it in your sdcard and reboot again into recovery.
Flash the zip, and voliá! Rooted phone.
Be sure to update superuser from market and update the su binary after that.
thanks bro - bt 1 more help

Enough said. You need stock recovery to do OTA.
Try to locate OTA file and flash it manually

You won't lose root if you have stock recovery.
Do you even have a stock recovery? If so, just place it inside the adb folder, open the command prompt change directory to adb folder, boot into bootloader mode and type fastboot flash recovery name_of_recovery.img The same way you probably got custom recovery onto the device.
Won't lose root because of stock recovery. You'll lose root because of the OTA though, but even then it's easy enough to regain root. You can then either flash back the custom recovery OR boot the custom recovery. I'd suggesting booting the custom recovery that way you can make a nandroid backup of the updated system before you flash anything again.
fastboot boot custom_recovery_name.img If you're using TWRP then it probably won't make a backup of the stock recovery, CWM/Philz will work better for the nandroid. After you made a backup(If you choose to make a backup, again strongly suggested) then you can flash a custom recovery again.
Was it really necessary to post in a massive font?

Now you have stock recovery installed, the way to go to recovery is bit different from how to enter recovery for TWRP. It gets stuck maybe because of the current ROM has some problems.
I suggest you do these:
1. Go to bootloader menu and flash TWRP - use the one in my signature (not yet test the latest official one)
2. put the 1.57.599.1 backup on externel sdcard (you should have one)
TWRP/BACKUPS/YourSerialNo/folder here
3. restore this backup (make sure Micro SDcard is selected as TWRP storage)
4. boot to bootloader and flash stock recovery
5. reboot and do the setup wizard then do the OTA
6. Once complete, you can reflash TWRP if you want to.

Unable to update phone through OTA updates

Hi there,
I own a HTC One M8 which I purchased locally from Singapore. My software version has the .707. code.
Recently, when I received an OTA update to my phone I was unable to update it, the phone would go to the update screen and the green bar would load halfway before changing to the screen of a phone with a red triangle.
I had previously unlocked my phone using HTC Dev. I then flashed SuperSu to root my phone. I am now unable to get rid of SuperSu from my phone but was able to lock my phone using the instructions from HTC Dev with the "re-locked" logo on my stock recovery, which I was able to flash back onto my phone. Although SuperSu is on my phone, it does not work and root checker tells me that my phone is not rooted. My phone is also S-On.
I was foolish enough to not create a nandroid backup before beginning this process.
So if anyone has any instructions on how to revert my phone to complete stock or any advice, please tell me.
Thanks for your help!
What's your current version ?
Check here for the x.xx.707.x nandroid backup : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701376
Steps
1. unlock bootloader (you don't need to relock bootloader to proceed OTA)
2. install TWRP recovery
3. restore nandroid backup
4. flash stock recovery
5. reboot and do the OTA

I think he might have meant the TWRP backup files. Once he has flashed TWRP and loaded the files onto the folder he can't see it in the restore button/directory.

Make sure you unpacked the nandroid backup that you downloaded i.e unzip it and place it in the correct directory on your device. It'll be something like ... TWRP/Backups/serialnum/ <<Just put in serial number for your device.
Else if you don't know how, just quickly go into TWRP and make a backup of any file "boot" for example, that way TWRP will automatically create the path on the device for you. Remove the back up file only leaving the path in place then unzip the nandroid backup and place it in the directory TWRP gave to you.
Boot into recovery and restore the nandroid backup. When that is finished you flash the stock recovery back, as mentioned above by flyera, of course I'm saying that with the assumption that you already have adb + drivers installed on your computer.
I had to re-read a few times but I think you are right. The original post indicates that he must be familiar with adb and recovery installation. Good explanation..
