Device will not turn on LG G3 D855 32GB - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone.
I need your help.
My Device: LG G3 D855 32GB
The device does not turn on, the only thing that appears is because when I connect the device to a PC, I see a driver installed:
RELINK HS-USB QDLoader 9008
I read guides on site here, and I'm trying to order
I downloaded the software BoardDiag 2.9
I downloaded the files to the appropriate TOT
I extracted the files by instructors on site.
I opened the program and I followed the guide and it seems to me an error
Download mode is enabled Mode,
I quickly disconnects from the computer and reconnect the computer and then the moment I am unable to do a test and the results are:
AP CHECK START = PASS
EMMC TEST START
FAILED TO OPEN PARTITION FROM EMMC
TEST ABORTED !!
I tried a lot of tutorials but I can not, it always seems the device is in Download Mode
What can I do more?
Please your help,
Eliran

If you go that way, you will need bunch of other stuff. Here is the link
http://open-freax.fr/guide-unbrick-your-lg-g3/
It is a good thing that your PC recognises phone like that.
But first be sure that You can not enter download mode or recovery or even fastboot.
And please say what did you do to make it like that? Wrong flash?
If you CAN enter download mode than you can flash kdz or tot files from there. Easiest way is to use LGUP but you must be careful if you want to try.

Thanks for the comment
The phone fell into the vehicle.
I know the phone is always in Download Mode
The software does not let me do anything and making phone download mode
I did not try to install KDZ.
And I can not open a setup KDZ because the device does not rise and there is no open port.
I only have the port I did above.

Thanks for the help, I worked in the guide and I could not ...

Thanks for the help, I worked in the guide and I could not ...
I went through all the steps I found at:
Now, let’s get the party started
I set up the software the guide and I got an error:
FAIL on the EMMC test
I changed the parameter Read / Write »to« Erase
And again I got the error:
FAIL on the EMMC test
Then I try again, click Start, open a window and write in English and Chinese
Device DLOAD mode
device was not found in dload trying flash peogrammer
I click OK, the window closes and then when I press Start again, the window reappears.
Only when I disconnect the USB cable from the computer and the author briefly again then I’m able to do the test, but he failed.
FAIL on the EMMC test
The device always is in Download Mode and appears port:
RELINK HS-USB QDLoader 9008
My component can not be right at all and it always is in Download Mode?
I did not do short the guide, because the computer also detected me.
It has always seemed stuck in a download mode.
There is another option? Short elsewhere as will enable progress?
Thank you very much for your help,
Eliran

Hello everyone
Today I tried again to connect the device to your computer, the screen comes on suddenly.
And see the state of battery with a question mark inside a yellow triangle.
I did not realize also saw installed driver
LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port
I tried to re-install.
Now again became a black screen and the next thing happens:
When the device without a battery connected to a computer costing me
RELINK HS-USB QDLoader 9008
When I'm with a battery, it registers an unknown device.
When the device without a battery test again tried to do this EMMC component fails.
help please

I am exactly in the same situation. Have you found any solution so far???? My phone suddenly stopped working and didn't boot up at all first and then I used the LG Flashtool to install original TOT file and all went well. I forgot to close LG Flashtool and it started flashing again. LG Flash tool restarts the phone at about 80% and then it failed at that point and since then I am having this issue.................
Any solution???????

I cannot boot into download mode and cannot boot into twrp. The phone will not boot no matter how long i hold the power button and there is no lights. When connected to the pc it shows up as Qcom Dload. Can someone please create a debrick.img. All you need to do is flash this in twrp and send me the debrick file which should end up on your sdcard.

This has been tried before and it didnt work for the guy. Have you tried flashing a tot? It has the begining of the emmc so same outcome but you can skip all the sd card work. Good luck if the tot fails and no one steps up ill get you that debrick file just to see if your luck is better.

That was a no go i tried the older dll that bypass model checks but still fails. Guess there is a linux method that worked on the older g2 and someone with a g3 reported success so i already extracted the TOT files i need to dd over from linux.

Yeah that's probably your best option I have a partitions dump from the tot if yours are not working for some reason. Instead of installing twrp If I was you I would boot into download mode after and flash the tot. I did do a debrick dump with the script that I can get to you tomorrow some time and if that doesn't work tell me and I can give you a link that has 250-500mb range for the dumps from when I was helping the other guy. They weren't made with a script but with terminal emulator but they should be the same thing just bigger because the smaller dumps weren't working for him. Any way here are the partitions just in case https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23622183712472493
---------- Post added at 11:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:36 PM ----------
Oh and before I go to bed another thing you can try if you can send the images over but they don't seem to work. Hunt down the fastboot laf.img send that over then do the rest of the partitions via fastboot instead. Good luck!
Dead phone
Dead in the water. Only qpst seems to see it besides device manager (Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008). The linux method was for people who get the lg logo. I don't get anything but a black screen. Problem is i don't know enough about the qpst software to guide you on making the files. All i can say is try to make a backup using qpst and provide links. Don't know what else to do.

In order to get you the files someone needs to reboot from the hidden menu into somthing I cant remember. Its not mini os and the d851 lacks the option in hidden menu atleast I didnt see it. The d855 hidden menu has the option and I was going to try it but he ended up sending it in before I got around to flashing the d855 rom. If you want to fix it yourself and can do without a cell phone for a few days I can try but might not be able to get you the files until sunday if it works.

So it looks like i will need a hex file and mbn partition files vs the bin files that come from the tot file. From what i read in the forums lg offers a 1 year warrenty. So i guess as a last resort i could send it in for service but i would rather try to resolve it myself.

Hello
I tell them my story, mistakenly doing a ported rom stock LG G3 Marshmallow, I flashed my phone with the stock rom from Marshmallow (model D855) and after that I have bricked the phone. No download mode, no emergency mode, only is recognize for the computer as AndroiNet usb port serial.
Could please you help me to unbrick my lg g3 Phone model d851,t-mobile variant. When I plug in my Phone to computer, this is recognized as lgandroinet port serial but I have made a testpoint (open the mobile) to change the phone mode to Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008”. I have used tools like boardiag but I get the followin message: “No response from the device. Check PMIC first and if still boot problem, replace AP.” To look at this thread: http://www.androidbrick.com/unbrick-recover-your-dead-lg-g3-g2-all-variants/ ... but report that it is not compatible for ATT and Tmobile variations. I currently have two virtual machines: Window xp 32 bit and Ubuntu 15.04. My client OS is 8.1 Window 64 bit.
I will be very grateful if you can help me to find a solution or can show me which is the correct way. I've been several weeks looking for a solution but I have not been able to fix my cellphone. I hope that my computer still recognizes it.

Hello,
I will try help you, first of all you must to change the Qualqomm mode in your phone, namely change usb LGE Androinet by QDloader 9008. For this you must remove the battery from the phone, open the phone and use copper cable or tweezers and you must to touch two points on the mainboard in order to force Qualcomm mode on your phone. I have attached photos to guide you in this process. You must touch two points (without battery) and connect the usb cable to the computer. You'll hear a sound that indicates that qualcomm is active otherwise could see a battery warning on the screen. If this happens, you must disconnect the usb cable and repeat the process.
The second thing you're going to do is install the drivers appropriate for Qualcomm mode. Please follow this thread: http://www.droidsavvy.com/unbrick-qualcomm-mobiles/
This is the download link for the drivers referred to the post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3261089&stc=1&d=1428980071
Now your computer will recognize the cellular in the indicated mode (Relink HS-USB QDloader 9008).
The next step is to use the Boarddiag tool in this post but in the root folder, place the file sbl1.mbn which is located in the folder that you extract the file TOT.
I am currently uploading a package that includes bordiag tool, sbl1.mbn file, and TOT file extracted. When the upload is complete, I could tell you what is the download link, this contain the version of Boardiag that will work in our model. Currently my phone lg g3 D851 (chip MSM8975AC) was revived.

I'm not sure if it will work for your model, please performs the tests at your risk. Let me clarify that this is the same boarddiag version , only I try added the files needed.
Within the. 7z, there is a file called "TOT Extract", please extract it and open application BoardDiag. In the section "Target Dir" choose the path where you extracted the file.
Please inform me as it was with the tests.

Thank you SOOO much for your help so far.
I installed Qualcomm Drivers and touched the points and it connected.
But it says that the Drivers are blocked due to not being digitally signed.
And it's showing up in Device Manager as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" with an exclamation point.
I am posting screen shots.'
You didn't have this issue?
What steps do I do in the BoardDiag exactly? Just add the directory with the file and hit start?
@mxpxboi it seems you're using windows 8/above, you have to disable driver signature, here is how to do it https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorial...abling-signed-driver-enforcement-on-windows-8

Overwritten aboot.img -> G3 bricked?

Hi guys,
I made a stupid mistake:
I was overwriting aboot.img from terminal to solve "secure boot failed" error. I didn't have backcase installed and battery fell out.
Now, the phone is bricked or at least the screen remains black, no vibrating, no flashing LED.
Is there anything I can do to revive the phone?
Can you enter anything ? Download mode ?
IF nothing you have to force to qualcomm 9008 mode and use boarddiag to fix the phone
Download-mode (Vol-up while plugging in USB) does not work.
Do you think, I can unbrick it by using willcracker's method?
Is there anything I need to keep in mind? Can you give an estimation whether this approach will solve the issue?
Yes, both willcrackers and the link will fix it
If you somehow fail write here
uhm, it seems as if the archive is protected by password? Any adive on how to get hold of it or any alternative solution?
What's also a little strange: the file "androidbrick_G3_fix.7z" is above 100MB while the download of "BoardDiag v2.99a.zip" is around 7MB...
Do I need to dis-assemble the G3 to short the pins stated here?
I did the EXACT SAME THING. I guess we can be idiots together, right?
Unfortunately, boarddiag refuses to flash with some error about the AP and android_g3_fix fails for me (looks like it's working but does nothing).
If you want to try anroidbrick_g3_fix you can email the author for the password.
I'm at a loss as to what to do, I'm already in qualcomm 9008 mode with drivers...
Follow the steps on this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/help/fix-marshmallow-autorec-hard-brick-t3284608
After i killed my G3 with TWRP (Autorec for LP) on MM i bring my G3 back to life.
Tip: Use a thin massive copper caple, 0,5mm, and put the other end on the top of the sim-slot for ground.
It´s easier.

I don't have TWRP though, will it work?
Didn't seem to. I've had horrid luck with BoardDiag though...
I'm not sure if it makes any difference, but my phone is a Verizon 32GB LG G3 w/MSM8975AC that came preflashed with 35b 5.1.1 (thanks, ,verizon) and has never seemed to respond to any of the downgrade methods. Hence me playing with partitions, flashing aboot to an earleir version, and getting into this mess by failing to flash sb1.
I'm willing to pay to get this fixed, but unsure where to go or who is reputable.
I have managed to shortcircuit the pins and get my G3 to be listed as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" and a corresponding COM port.
When I start the "androidbrick_G3_fix" as administrator, the tool shows that "USB Status" is "not ready". In the guide it says:
if your driver is installed you will see your port, if not, youll see “Not ready” in little green window.

EDIT:
I've used BoardDiag 2.99a to flash different partions according to this source extracted from *.tot file.
Now the phone (obviously) does not boot and shows "Security Error".
Trying to enter download mode seems to work though as it shows "Download Mode" followed by "Firmware Update".

You need to do the short and connect the cable with the tool open first. Otherwise for some weird reason it doesn't detect the phone.
It appeared to work for me but did nothing. I hope you have better luck.

Just saw your edit.
If you can enter download mode, you can now flash a tot using any online guide for such, and in theory unbrick your phone.
As for me, still no luck.

Currently, I am flashing a kitkat kdz (D85510f_00.kdz) to the phone using LG Flash Tool 2014.
It seems to takes ages but is progressing nevertheless. After 30 minutes the tool says 14% whereas the phone says 5% on the screen. I hope the process speeds up a little...
Wish me luck

Are you able to get the phone to 9008 mode? Have you tried using the plain BoardDiag 2.99a to extract from *.tot file and flash those afterwards?

I wish you enough luck for both of us!
But seriously, good luck. Sounds like you are in the home stretch.
EDIT: Yes, I am in 9008. Unfortunately BoardDiag seems to refuse to flash it with AP errors. I think it's an issue with the updated chipset Verizon uses on the 32gb model.

I understand. I'm just asking if you really using right boarddiag (thread that I mentioned - willcracker.rar)
Also be sure that you have a phone connected to right port (check it in device manager)

[HELP] G3 Hardbrick Help! URGENT!

Here's my case:
I've got a LG G3 F400L (Korean LGU Variant), its on Marshmallow(6.0), and for all I know I used the Autorec program for Lollipop, and apparently got my bootloader corrupted; No led flashing, no display. But the Qualcomm 9008 serial port is shown on the device manager and I can use Boardiag to detect it. I know, irony and idiocy made this dilemma.
Diagnostics:
I've used Boardiag 2.99a by willcracker and yes I've checked "AP check" and "EMMC TEST" and both are tagged as "Pass", but when it comes to the "SDRAM TEST" it throws off an error indicating that there is a flash error on partition "boot" along with a 0x3000 and I can't progress beyond that, I've also tried to use the "Restore Device" option to revive it but still the later error still persists.
I've also tried Smart Boot Diagnostics but the problem is that my device's AP Chip doesn't exist on the current version of the tool.
What I would like to press on:
I would want to resolve this on my own and that no amount of suggesting on sending this to the service center would yield fruit. Please do understand, I would also like this to be a thread that can help me and other on resolving their corrupted bootloader units.
Please, can someone help me on my dilemma. Thank you very much. Any amount of help is appreciated.
Try using board diag with the battery unplugged.

Already tried that but still nothing works.
Current situation:
Alas, I've accessed fastboot and had wiped the boot partition, but now the USB is detected as "LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port."

You need to short with a cable internet connection I do this last night and changes for Qalcomm USB in the same time...After that, you need to open BoarDiag and do the process. If you can´t enter in download mode, you need in BoarDiag pass the USERDATA
I follow this link: http://open-freax.fr/guide-unbrick-your-lg-g3/

{Solved}I gotta super slim brick !!!!

I attempted to flash Dirty Unicorn from they're site, which appeared to go well, then I proceeded to flash the TWRPinstaller.zip that was suggested from the maintainer for our device. when I tried to reboot from recovery I got a no OS message. I ignored the message and attempted to reboot. Now the phone doesn't normally power on or off(which may change once the battery dies), no boot animation, no recovery, no fastboot recognition. The computer recognizes the phone as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008. I googled for hours last night trying to fix to no avail. Has any of our great devs found a way to atleast recover the bootloader screen. I think I can handle it myself from there with adb.
Solved: Use the first blank flash from the link to get back to bootloader screenhttps://firmware.center/firmware/Motorola/Moto%20Z2%20Force/Blankflash/
From bootloaderscreen put your ADB skills to work. I'm not too good with guides but this just saved me $175

I did the same, got the same. Can't confirm the Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 device will be there.
No charge, no screen, does not turn on/off, no vibration. Worst: no bootloader... Again, could be different if the battery dies.

Three questions:
1. File there is NDX26.183-15_17. Is it the same for OPXS27.109-34-10 on which I'm now? I suppose I need to use the "Oreo" version (2nd file in the list).
2. Which tool/software did you use to flash it? Is there a step by step tutorial?
3. You say "from bootloader screen". What about if we do not have a bootloader screen but a black brick in our hands?

1.NDX26.183-15_17 (All it does is get your boatloader screen back
2. If you go to the device menu on your computer and your phone reads as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008, all you have to do is click on the Blank flash all file and from the extracted folder and command prompt will do the rest. If the device is not recognized QDLoader 9008 then you will need to download qualcomm drivers to your computer
3.That is exactly what the file is for. Getting your black brick to at least the bootloader screen. From there you can adb recovery or stock rom.
What I ended up doing was adb push the bootable TWRP from the this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/z2-force/development/how-to-install-oreo-ota-t3726932.
Flash the TWRP the official for our device from they're site(the bootable TWRP will give you access to extsd and thats where I had the official TWRP )
Rebooted back to bootloader and adb the firmware files for my device from the AOISP thread and rebooted my phone and I was booting DU.
Can somebody help me? I am in the same situation.
T-Mobile, unlock bootloader, hard bricked (already recognized Qualcomm QDLoader 9008 in device manager at least...)
I tried to use the blankflash but...see attachment

Before connecting the phone, start the blankflash program. Maybe you have to repeat it a couple of times. Also try different cables, ports and computers.

Well, you need of course, Qualcomm loader driver, to at least having your device recognized as 9008. There u go: https://www.androidbrick.com/download/latest-2017-qualcomm-diag-qd-loader-windows-10-drivers-signed/
After that, go ahead with blankall and stuff...
P.s. and yes ..stay away from USB 3.0! ???

I know it's a long shot but...do u have any other Qualcomm device to try?
U can enter EDL mode with adb command "adb reboot edl". Yes, it's that simple. ?
